I came here to meet one of my sorority sisters who was visiting from out of town for Saturday brunch and I had heard great things about the other locations and I have hopes for this locations future but on this day, it was not a good day. Super busy but our waitress was not on her game. For me the service can make the food taste better and the service wasn't good. At this point I don't even remember what my order was but it was a breakfast bowl of sorts with the farmers veggies that sounded great on the menu. 1st up I ordered the Bacon Appetizer also known as Million Dollar Bacon. It was good because I love me some good ole onk onk. it took it forever to come out that the food was right behind it. I remember now, it was the farmhouse Hash. the potatoes were good. the eggs were cooked perfectly but the food was not as hot as I thought it should have been but based on my waitress, i would guess she left it in the window because her time management among customers left a lot to be desired. My sis had to send her food back a couple of times because they couldn't get it right. The avocados on my food were rock hard but aside from that the flavor on the food was good and I would come back again and sit in another section. read more

One of my Fav breakfast spots! "The Works" omelette is my fav! Biscuit with gravy so fulfilling! The North Decatur area is beautiful and growing, I recommend you stopping by there and trying them out! My lady got the Farmers Basket, it looked amazing, and she said it was fye fye!! Don't miss out on a good brunch! Great service, and accurate on wait time. Got on the wait-list via Yelp, and the accuracy impressed us! #GoVisit read more

Really good, original food. They certainly know what they're doing. I've been many times and usually it's great. Unfortunately, I just waited for 5 minutes with no one greeting me and I could see that no one else in the restaurant had ordered yet. Stuck my head in the kitchen and someone yelled "I'll be right there". Two more minutes went by and they weren't, and then neither was I. I don't know what the situation was, I don't know what was going on. I do know that there are tons of other good restaurants right around there, so why would I wait? Again, great food and usually great service. Maybe I caught them on a bad day. read more

I had a good time at a First Watch in Alabama. So I was very excited when I saw that one had opened in Atlanta area. Yippee. I met up with a couple of girlfriends for brunch. First Watch is only open for breakfast, brunch, and lunch. There is no dinner service. I was the first to arrive so I put our names on the list. There was a little bit of a wait. Luckily, we were ready to go once the rest of my party arrived. What good timing. I ordered the bacado omelet. The Bacado includes bacon, avocado and Monterey Jack. It is topped with sour cream and served with a side of housemade pico de gallo. Doesn't that just sound yummy? I will order almost anything that contains avocado and sour cream. Service was good and not as slow as the restaurant I went to in Alabama. I would definitely return. read more

Great prices and love the location for a casual brunch place! Got the lemon ricotta pancakes - very yummy but wanted more lemon flavor. Also they have an app where you can get on the wait list before you get there.. all in all, we only waited 30 mins for prime time Saturday brunch, so not too bad. read more

First Watch - Lemon ricotta pancakes - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Decatur, Georgia

This place has severely gone down hill. Our table was sticky, the menus were sticky, our coffee cups were sticky (gross)and the wait staff person was awful. We had to keep asking for him but when it was time to bring the receipt, he was Johnny on the Spot but then he disappeared. We went to the register to pay and no one was there. He noticed us but he just ignored, waiting for someone else to do his job. A female was busy tallying receipts at a table and unfortunately, we had to disturb her concentration along with some others wanting to pay. The food was awful, too. We have tried this place three times, recently, and all the same experience. We won't return!!! Three strikes, you're out! read more

Long waits! So we expected the food to be amazing. It was just ok. Kinda confused over what the hype is?

My first visit was on May 14, on Mother's day, we wanted to make reservations but that was not an option, so I was expecting hours of tedious waiting time but it did not happend, I was happy, I was surprised the way the staff handled the crowd, I was highly motivated, we have been waiting anxiously to see what First Watch will ofer since the moment the new building and details were completed. I was determined to observe the place with detail and absorb the experience. I was not dissapointed, quite the opposite, in fact, we have been indulging our senses, in only 10 days I've dined in 8 times (one day twice, for breakfast and lunch, our host was Marcus, awesome personality and excellence in customer service!!!), and 2 times I came to buy $120 worth of gift cards to give as Teacher Appreciation Tokens. OMG! I will go through the whole Menu so quick! We love the place!, we feel it our own, we have talked about you guys in both of schools I work. I was happy to see that those teacher's visited on May 26th to celebrate one co-worker moving to another school. One morning, May 15, I was taking my daughter to school and we were rushing, I decided to surprised her since it was her 11th birthday, we found the door open at 6:50, we got in, we were not turned away "we are not open, come back in another 5", no, no. Marcus started us with coffee and hot chocolate, my food smelled and tasted heavenly, my bacon was cooked to perfection, crispy as I like it, eggs were fluffy and melted in your mouth, the juices were to die for, the waffles delicious and the lemon ricotta pancakes, the bomb!, we were in and out in 15 min. We carried half to go since school opens at 7:20am. Rex was cooking!!! We wanted to repeat the experience and I promised my daughter that the day after school was over, May 26, we would go to the Massage place that opened next door and top the day with brunch at First Watch. No rush, just enjoyed our girls day out. We could not wait too long and wealready had dined several times after that. Also surprised our teachers with "breakfast is on us" they love it! I am happy to say I found a DM and the GM during my visits, I have spoke to them, letting them know the awesome team they have. They could be busy running the show but the team is incredible, wish I have the names to give credit all the cooks and the juice lady. The different host we encounter all highly motivated, friendly, knowledgeable, fast, were great. Excellent service always. I hope I remember the team members names right, Lindsey, Molly, Ashley, Cynthia and Marcus, Marcus being my favorite!!! Thank you all for offering us, here in Decatur, GA a so refreshed dine option. You will be seeing us for a while, we also have moved closer to our schools and a quick bite in the healthy side it what we needed it. Our first choice gift now are First Watch gift cards, there is always something delicious to try. If you are rushing the "to go" option is the best choice, everything was fixed to the last detail, I'm a very detailed oriented person and was completely satisfied! Thank you all so very much! Spring Menu and now Summer Menu are heaven in my mouth. See you soon! Keep up the good work! Cynthia. P.S. A note to the managers... I hope you can create a program to reward your employees, they are the face of the place! A happy employee brings strength to a company through appreciation and by being acknowledged. read more

My boyfriend and I headed here for a late breakfast today after I viewed the menu on their website. The place was packed when we got there with a 45 wait, but since we had a few local errands to run it worked out great! The atmosphere is easy going with comfortable chairs in a rustic industrial sort of setting. The server was friendly and attentive. The coffee was hot and endless. I ordered the eggs Benedict BLT with greens (bottom picture) which was very good. I loved the mix of the zesty greens with the creaminess of the eggs, avacodo and hollandaise sauce. Then you add the crunchy texture of the bread and the bacon and the nice ripe tomatoes... Mmmmm. My boyfriend ordered the chickichanga with potatoes. It's a flour tortilla stuffed with chicken, green chilies, avacodo, chorizo and cheese. Not too spicy, but very flavorful and the potatoes were perfectly cooked and seasoned. And although the crowd continued to grow and the wait time grew with it, we never felt like we had to rush to free up our table. My only negative would be our tables close proximity to the door and the wad of people gathered there waiting for a table. I wish the had a little bigger waiting area, but to there credit, for a small place they were doing great business and everyone seemed content to wait. read more

This spot was busy on Saturday morning. We were seated quickly, which was nice. It wasn't clear why, but there were several un-bused tables that we walked by on our way to our ultimate spot. There seemed to be a disconnect between having people waiting when there were empty tables that even a manager could help clear to get folks seated faster. But I digress...the presentation of the Tri-Fecta could've been a bit better, but the components tasted good. The eggs were a smaller portion; the menu said two eggs, but I guess they were the runts of the carton. The blueberry multigrain pancake was tasty and quite large. Unlike many spots, they are legit grainier rather than fluffier--so if big and fluffy are must-haves, stick to the regular pancakes. The chicken sausage tasted good too. The million dollar bacon was just ok. I thought the price was too high for what you were served. It looked pretty but it wasn't anything spectacular. The server was nice and attentive. read more

Love the million dollar bacon, Waffles are excellent!! I would give 5 stars but the bacon was burned several times.

This is an excellent place to eat if you like fresh whole Foods. Not processed. No added fats or sugars. I like the coconut milk chia bowl and the acai bowl. Fast service. read more

I had never been here before. There were a lot of people waiting the be seated. The hostess was not friendly at all but we were seated in about 15 minutes. Then we sat waiting on a server to come to the table. They never did. We sat there for at least 10 minutes. We left. There were several empty tables and yet the wait area was still packed. I won't be returning to this establishment. read more

I absolutely love first watch and love the service at this location, but something that did stand out was where we were seated it was very loud by the kitchen. When I was being checked out I was asked about my service, and I was honest about how loud the kitchen was and there was one person I heard constantly. The server told me the name of the individual yelling from the kitchen, his name was Chadd. So our experience is normally great but the other day was the perfect storm and I just had a bad experience. The kitchen is open so I understand restaurant kitchens are never going to be quiet, but it was distracting for us and the tables around us. read more

Love this place! I have been searching for a near by breakfast/lunch spot since forever! My mom and I love going here. The food is always so good! Curtis has served us the last couple of times we've been, he's always very helpful and attentive as well as the rest of the staff. Wish I could give more than 5 stars! read more

Love the food portions and the food is really good, so good that every time i go there is a 45 minute wait but luckily they have a big first come first serve table were I normally grab a seat by some nice people. Place is busy so it's definitely hectic for the servers and they might forget stuff but they always do their best and smile so im ok with that. I really enjoy eating here read more

I've been twice, and both times they were extremely busy. I wouldn't let that stop me from going back, because the food is actually really good. I'd say if you're going on a weekend try to get there super early or after noon. I've had the breakfast tacos, and the market hash. Both are worth trying. I also tried the pancakes(which are gigantic you only need one), but wasn't impressed. It tasted/felt gritty.. maybe it was an off day, but I wouldn't recommend the pancakes. Which is a bummer because it's one of my favorite breakfast foods. Other than the pancake issue, slower service (but friendly staff)than I'd like, and no alcohol; I'd say give it a try. read more

"If you have all the time in the world". Then come! 20-30 minute wait was over an hour. We had to catch a flight and almost missed it. We did find out from the numerous people being seated ahead of us is that there is an App where you can "check in line" from home. Do this! The food and service was excellent. I would have given a higher rating if it had not been for the long wait. read more

Highly recommend! Our family of 6 visited First Watch after seeing our loved on in ICU. We absolutely loved the treat of delicious, very fresh food! The crab-avocado toast with eggs was delicious!! Being a Maryland girl, the freshly seasoned crab was a delicious compliment to the avocado mash! Oh man--my mouth still waters!! The kids loved their waffles, daddy enjoyed the Monterey Club, very hearty. The Açaí Bowl was worth every bite! And the Avocado Toast was a perfect blend of mashed and chunked! The wedding soup was delicious too! The teas and iced coffee was an additional treat to enjoy on the ride home! We need one on the South Side!!! read more

Love this place! I always go on Saturday so there is always a wait so be prepared for a 30-40 minute wait. I really enjoyed the quinoa pesto power bowl. It has chicken, quinoa, avocado and pesto sauce. Sooo yummy! In October, they had a pumpkin pancake. It was huge! Me and my friend ordered the regular pancakes and again they were huge! I have tried the tacos as well and they were very yummy. This place is definitely health conscious but they don't skip out on flavor. read more

Great service and food! Jennifer was our server but everyone worked together perfectly. We didn't have to wait or ask for anything.

My family and I are house sitting for more family in the area. We are very keen on breakfast food, it's probably my favorite. The experience we had was good, but still had some troublesome moments. First, Jai was an incredible server. Full of energy, excited, polite, efficient and all the things you want in a server. She had even gone above and beyond toward the end of our meal. No complaints whatsoever from here. Here is how the experience starts. Our family walks in, greeted by a host. He gets my number and information to notify my when our table is ready or when we would be next in line (however their tablet system works). Knowing it was a 25-30 min wait, we walked to sprouts for approximately 10 min to get a small snack for my son. After getting back with no text or notification we just sat outside eating our small snack to occupy him until it was our time. A new hostess comes out and asks if we were waiting on something... yes... a table... to sit down at. I have her my name and she TOLD me that she notified us, but I told her I didn't receive anything. Here is where it gets juicy, in the "matter of fact tone" we notified you ten minutes ago she says. So I showed her my phone hoping she could find the notification I could never find... Regardless, it's not about the notification or our wait time that made me upset, it's more the fact you don't talk to a customer like that. As a host or hostess your the first impression on a customer, therefor make it good. Set that server up for more success. Enough about that, my old lady's food was cold but mine was hot. So they replaced hers immediately, the staff was so on point with that they brought us two on accident! ( we only kept one haha) and compensated us for being out of the particular bacon we requested. Don't get me wrong, I can understand running out of something especially when we arrive closer to closing time then open. I can understand being busy. I can understand being out of items, you had a lot of customers come in for good food! All these can be expected. Extremely grateful for how polite Jai was. Also because the small hiccups that happen through out our visit, they compensated us with out our complaining. Not something you see everyday and greatly appreciated. Food was amazing! My tri-fecta was on point. Will definitely be back for the food sure! read more

I've dined at this location three times. I'm happy to say that I had a pleasant experience each visit. The staff is super friendly and food came out promptly and well prepared. There are lots of fresh options here for the meat eater and vegan alike. The gluten free toast was actually pretty good too. Loved the "farm house chic" decor as well. The community table is a great option if you have a small party and don't want to wait on regular table seating. I also like how they leave a pot of coffee and a water container for your convenience at your table. First watch is definitely one of tbe better options for a franchise breakfast spot. read more

I have eaten here before and the food and service is usually good. However, today I placed an online order. My waffle was over cooked on one side. They also didn't follow special instructions that was requested on a drink order. When the order was picked up, an employee disputed that the special order wasn't placed (when it was, as the confirmation list the special request). I was very disappointed in the service and my meal. Called to rectify the issue and was told that there couldn't be a fix made. read more

We love First Watch! The food always comes out piping hot and typically there is no wait during the week. But be prepared for a wait on the weekends. Plus there are tons of dairy-free or vegan options! When I'm looking for a savory, vegan breakfast, then this is my spot! read more

We have been here twice for breakfast. Both times I have had the AM superfoods and the millionaires bacon. The bacon tastes great. It has maple syrup and seasoned with pepper. The superfoods bowl has fruit mixed with a pudding. It is an unusual mix but it works! With coffee the total cost is $16. My wife had the bacado omelette and she enjoyed it. This place does get crowded so one needs to arrive early. The service is okay as the place becomes busy. Parking is in front of the store. I do recommend this place for breakfast. read more

I won't be frequenting this location anymore. We've been here on several occasions and have had great experiences until today. We were waiting on our server to bring the check(15 minutes) and decided to walk up to the counter to pay for our food. After another 5 minutes week received our check. 10 minutes later we are finally at the front but only to be told to wait for a person who just arrived to pick up their food. The cashier even had the nerve to almost put his hand in my wife's face to tell her to wait. Imagine waiting in line for 15 minutes and having someone else skip you who just walked in!!! Then, the cashier lied and said that was their protocol. "We always take care of the to go orders first". The food was great and the server was awesome but the cashier was 2 minutes from an ass whooping! You don't put your hands in a Patrons face and tell them to wait!! That's rude!!! Luckily my wife calmed me down. Great food but we'll be at La Petite Marche...they know how to treat you with respect. Try the other location in Atlanta. read more

I have always had good experiences at First Watch, but today I don't know what they had going but their customer service was horrible. I did an online order at 10:50 am, and was told in the email that my order will be ready at 11:30 am. I got to the restaurant at the 11:30 and was asked if I was dining in or ordered online. I told the waitress my name and she said she will go check on it. She never came back. Nobody said anything to me for 25 mins. They had a lot of people waiting at the door and no waitresses saying anything. I finally got my food at 11:55 am and it wasn't even good like normal. Ridiculous. Horrible service. Most definitely will not return. read more

This was my 3rd time dinning at 1st Watch. The first time, the food was great, the proportions were small, the 2nd time, the food was good. Yesterday, New Year's day, I had trouble finding a spot that was open for breakfast and I ate there. My salmon benedict was great. However, my potatoes were burnt. Not only was I upset they were burnt, I was more upset the cook did not look at it as a culinary nightmare and actually let it leave the kitchen like that!! Not aesthetically pleasing at all! Since I had to catch a movie that started at 10 am, I didn't want to send it back. But it will be a good minute before I go back! Potatoes are an easy fix, cook; YOU HAVE GOT TO DO BETTER! read more

Food was good and delightful, 2 Stars. Community table was open and I didn't have to wait, 1 Star. Waiter did not offer water or provide it like the other locations do automatically, -1 Star. Waiter did not stop by except to correct my meal which was mixed up with some other meal, - 1 Star. Overall disappointed because I'm a real fan of this business especially in the Kennesaw area. I'll still keep coming back, but not to the Decatur location. read more

Breakfast was really good. Service was great. We received our food in good time. BRUNCH needs mimosas!!!! That's the only bad thing.

Service at this location is horrible. Upon entering the restaurant my sister told the hostess (black female, short, stocky female) that we had reservation. She raised her voice "we don't take reservations). My sister said "my sister made them on your app". With a nasty loud tone again she said "we don't take reservations on line or on the phone". Even though it is not reservations on the app, there is a way to handle any situation. She could have explained this to my sister instead of being nasty. However I did not know about this until after breakfast. On to breakfast. We were seated 10-15 minutes before anyone took our drink order. Our waitress did not come back to the table after the food was served. I asked for soft scrambled eggs, they were tough. My toast was cold. I always go to the location on Scenic Highway and the service is always top notch. This location needs to get training from the Scenic Highway location. read more

I've been here three or four times now and tried to cut this place some slack during the opening months but I have to say that it's not up to the same standard of other First Watch locations I've been to throughout the Southeast. There's always a long wait for a table on weekends, which is to be expected, but it's frustrating to wait for 45 minutes while there are five open tables that are just waiting to be bussed. At least one menu item in my party's order has been messed up on each visit as well, making it even more frustrating. In a city of great breakfast and places I would recommend passing on this location. read more

The wait to be seated was not too long. However, the wait for food was. The food isn't as great as it sounds. The waffle was not airy like they described and my eggs which I ordered scrambled came with a little bit of onion & spinach pieces (not ordered).
