My second time here was as insignificant as the first. The food is ok, a bit pricey for the small portions you get. Service was extremely slow the first time (Saturday morning), but it was better on this Sunday maybe because of a lesser crowd. Our food did not come out all at once, and our server forgot some of our drinks. Pros include fresh food, nice decor and ambience, and good for families. read more

Staff were nice, courteous, and professional. That's where the good part ended. I came for the food, not the staff. Chile chorizo omelet had very little of either, but more importantly, the omelet was maybe 2-3 degrees above room temperature. It had definitely been sitting some time waiting to be picked up and brought to the table. read more

First time here last week. We arrived about 30 mins prior to closing and we were seated right away. Server was friendly. Served water with no ice...but after requesting they did brink us ice. I also had orange juice which was good and lots of pulp like i like. There was a wait for food to be brought out. But we pleasantly suprised at good food portion sizes. I had the waffle which was good, fresh and crispy like i like. I did not care for the sausage links...very small, bland and not warm. Boyfriend had the sweet potato pancakes which he said were okay. Also, my boyfriend had concern with the cooks in back not wearing hair nets and we saw a few employees touching their faces, ears, etc. which grossed him out...but he is a germaphobe lol. Overall decent breakfast spot, would come back and try other menu items. read more

One of my favorite guilty indulgences is eggs Benedict and I loathe having to make them at home. Enter First Watch, newly opened in the same center as Sprouts. I've been three times now - twice after my odd shift that starts at 3 am, ending at 1 pm. YAY, they are open until 2:30! I also rolled in on Sunday morning around 9:30. Midweek, there ate plenty of tables to be had - Sunday mornings, if you're a single, grab a place at the communal table to skip the line. (I saw today that you can check in online but the communal table was fine and fun!) It's oddly enough been raining for each of my visits so I didn't get to try sitting on the patio. The Morning Meditation juice with beet and turmeric....I know, sounds AWFUL, huh? Delicious!!!!!! Try it, you'll like it! First two visits I went for the classic Benedict which is accompanied by a light spring mix salad/lemon dressing. Note: I'd never had tomato in a classic EB dish before and the ciabatta replacement for the English muffin does work. Both times the egg was perfectly runny and the bread was nicely toasted. The hollandaise could use a little more lemon (my taste...your mileage may vary) but over all, a winner. Today I tried the BLT version and it was quite nice and since it IS a BLT, the tomato was expected and the addition of a few slices of avocado was an added richness. I didn't get the Millionaire Bacon today, but it is WONDERFUL! Sweet from the glaze and salty because it's, well, bacon. It could have used a touch more pepper for heat, but again, that's MY preference. The dishes being served around me all looked tasty and fresh and the wait staff/kitchen really seem to keep things moving at a good pace. Why 4 stars instead of 5? On none of my visits have I been offered water although I saw appealing chilled looking carafes being brought to the nearby tables. On all three of my visits, the knife was heavily water spotted, requiring a thorough rubbing with a napkin or my shirttail to clean. Bottom line - this is a GREAT addition to this developing area! Enjoy a nice breakfast or late lunc, wander over to Great Clips for a haircut, pick up groceries at Sprouts, and call it a day! Updated review: maybe the Opening team has left, but something has changed and not for the better. Four visits in a row....four less than stellar Eggs Benedict, three on Sunday mornings and again today. Three Sundays ago the order was refired twice, finally coming out correctly warmed through and runny yolk Instead of hard cooked on the 3rd time. I don't cook Eggs Benedict at home cuz I also have uneven results, but I set higher standards for the folks that do this for a living. Today both Eggs came out hard and immediately went back. When they came back, one was right and one was half hard/half undercooked...I thought I was the only one that could do THAT. The disappointing part was that my server didn't check back to see if the order was ok, instead sliding by to drop the check and tell me 'no hurry'. She didn't notice that one egg was still sitting on the plate. The cashier did take the Eggs off the bill today (as they did on the 'three try' visit) but I still left today without getting to enjoy what I'd been looking forward. I guess it's time to switch to scrambled... sigh. Deducting one star..... read more

Bright, simple, clean and modern. Went there for brunch with several friends. I ordered tomatoes soup which I wish I ordered a bigger size. Although their prices were a bit pricey. I'm trying to remember, I think a lot of their breakfast includes eggs?? Or maybe not. I just don't like eggs. Anyway, looking at their menu I thought it was a bit high for a simple meal. Like I could make a lot more for that price. Their menu is pretty healthy tho can't beat that. read more

I eat here every Sunday. The food is always delicious and the people are awesome. I've never had less than a perfect dining experience!

Came here with my boyfriend for lunch. I had the Morning Meditation juice, which was citrusy and refreshing. He had the Chicken Chimichurri Hash (4.5/5) and I had the Superfood Kale salad (3.5/5). I preferred the hash as it was well balanced and the potatoes were nice and crisp. The server was really nice and attentive. It was super busy when we came in but we didn't have to wait long for lunch at noon. Will definitely come back to try other dishes as there were so many things that I wanted to try. However, the food was okay but nothing spectacular thus far. read more

This is 3 1/2 star review. My hopes were very high for their new opening, right across the street from my house. First Watch is trying, very hard, to establish themselves as a few different types of family breakfast/brunch restaurants. 1. Trying to show healthy breakfast options (albeit overpriced and incomplete) 2. Trying to appeal to the "take your time eating a meal" crowd 3. Trying to also serve delicious breakfast food They don't do any of these things very well (yet). I am waiting on: 1. Fair prices (or at least a better justification for what appear to be inflated prices. 2. Better coffee (or at least an espresso machine). 3. Quicker food options. Will revisit this review in a few months but this is where I stand (for now). read more

Horrible host very rude he seems to look down on people, he will completely ignore you and lie about wait times. He is very snobbish and just doesn't introduce the restaurant in an appropriate way. As if the restaurant doesn't need your money. read more

The food and service was great, but there was a guy constantly yelling in the kitchen. I think his name was Chad. It was very distracting and interrupted our conversation multiple times. Without that, our brunch would have been a 5 star experience. read more

I've been to this place more then a few times. I've taken co-workers on lunch breaks and gone for a pleasant solo meal. They have some good food and fresh ideas. It does seem like all of this comes at a price. The service has also been good at least 8 out of 10 times. Because of the service I'm going with 3/5 stars. My last visit left a poor impression and I'm hoping on the next one things are corrected. When I've been there before the owner has come out and talked with the customers and that to me is always a nice touch. I will continue to go here, but if the service starts to take a down hills turn because they are out of there grand opening time frame I will discontinue my patronage. read more

First Watch was great! I got it for breakfast and it did not disappoint! I got the power breakfast bowl and it was so nice! Also the million dollar bacon was addicting, I'll definitely be back! read more

This was a pretty decent breakfast cafe. I was in the area and desperately looking for a new breakfast spot to explore and passed by this place. I'd heard from a few people that the food was really good and they were pretty fresh conscious about their food. The menu had plenty of options, but I just went with the tradional option...free cage eggs cooked how you like, with a protein and toast. They also had some seasonal drinks and added specials to the menu that were a nice touch. It keeps the menu fresh! I liked the option to choose pure maple syrup, freshly squeezed orange juice, and real jam! The four stars included good food and friendly service for a good price, no problems there. Less one star only because I would've liked to see a few more gluten free options on the menu. I know it's a franchise, but hopefully this is something we can see more of in the future. read more

The parking lot was large and empty around 8 this morning. The waiter was attentive and nice. I ordered a eggs Benedict which is my favorite with a side of seasoned potatoes. I love the food at First Watch but the service could be better.. Once they improve service, I'll revise my rating to 5 stars!

I was really excited to try a new brunch spot close to home, but I was a little disappointed on my first visit, so I'll just get down to the nitty gritty of it. There is plenty of parking because this is located inside the new shopping plaza where the new Sprouts is located, so even if you don't get a spot right in front there's plenty of parking available all around. The restaurant is brand new, so it's still very clean and pristine on the inside, and the ambiance is very casual and the decor is lovely and has a very rustic feel to it. The service is mediocre, and that's probably the main reason why my experience here was below expectations. I'm not sure if this is common, or if it's because they're recently opened and do not yet have a host/hostess, but I noticed the host/hostess is whoever is waiting on your table. We were seated promptly upon entering. I've never been to a First Watch before, and their menu is quite extensive for a breakfast/brunch place, so I was hoping for more time to look over the menu, but I felt pressured the entire time I was trying to read through the items. Our waitress came by not long after dropping off a container of water for us to ask if we were ready to order, but of course we didn't have enough time to look over the menu, so we asked for more time. As we were still browsing through the menu, she came back not a minute later to ask if we were ready to order, so again we asked for more time. She came back again not a minute after that, and seeing how persistent she was, I just gave in and ordered the first thing that looked mildly captivating to my eye. I ordered the works omelet, and it was served with a side salad and toast with strawberry jam. The omelet was decent, but it wasn't anything out of the ordinary. My boyfriend ordered the turkey burger, and it is usually served with greens (maybe that's just a side salad as well, but I'm not sure), but he substituted it with their soup of the day. The burger was just your average turkey burger topped with avocado, and the soup was Italian wedding soup I believe, and it tasted like chicken noodle soup, which wasn't terrible. Considering our waitress stopped by three times in such a short span of time in order to take our order, she really didn't provide the best service after our food arrived. She came to visit us once and didn't even bother to refill our water. I just felt that the food wasn't as amazing as I thought it would be, and the service could've been better. Again, it's a new establishment in North Decatur, so hopefully this is just a bump in the road for them and everything will shape up soon. read more

First Watch is the perfect place to dine for brunch. Great menu. First time here today with family. The wait list app was so useful today due to weekend crowd. Went this morning and received very poor service. I will give it a month or so and try again. This was sent to the company email address for feedback: "I heard good things about your food, so I thought I would take my daughter and her friend this morning. We arrived and were greeted, put our name on the list, and then we waited for 15 minutes outside before seating. Standard, no big deal. Upon being seated it was pretty quick with coffee and she took our drink order, brought the girls their drinks, and took our food order. My daughter specified she wanted a ham omelet no cheese. "NO CHEESE. NONE". I then repeated "no cheese, ONLY HAM". It was then over 20 minutes before her friend's food and mine arrived. "I'll be right back with your omelet" but it was another 6 minutes before the omelet arrived....with ONLY CHEESE, no ham. *sigh* It get's sent back and was then another 22 minutes before her corrected omelet arrived, meanwhile her friend and I are both finished without meals. The server in a snarky tone looked at my daughter and said: "enjoy that". Really?? I asked to speak to the manager, which took 9 minutes before I even saw him enter the dining area, he then proceeded right by us to the hostess stand. When he finally returned and stopped, he might as well have been reading from a script what had happened and what was going to be done to correct it. I was infuriated and said I would be leaving a review and that I did not wish to pay for any of this experience. He said "fine, I'll cover the check" and said it was "a communication breakdown, not on your part". Really? Of course, it was not on my part. But when an order is wrong or missing, it should go to the FRONT OF THE LINE. It should not take 22 minutes to get an omelet. And it should not arrive with snark from the server. I left $10 cash for the server along with a note. Her mistake, and obviously the kitchens, should not cost her living but it also should not be rewarded. I hope things improve in the service otherwise, you will get nothing but 1-time visits and bad reviews. I hear similar stories at the Smyrna location, so perhaps it is something in your company that needs to be fixed." read more

Great food but dinning is a little on the cramped side so they pack you in like sardines so if you are bothered by close dining or spaces this is not for you. On to the food, portions are large and everything is good. My favorite is the Eggs Benedict with smoked Salmon with a sIde of fresh fruit. I highly recommend them! read more

Enjoyed our breakfast at First Watch. We have been coming to this restaurant since they opened, and may i say, it's delicious. Absolutely horrendous. I used to go to a first watch when I lived in Florida. It had a great local vibe, everything was fresh and the food was perfect every time. These cooks don't even know how to prepare the food on the menu properly. The menu maybe fine, but the quality comes out like waffle house. The manager was holding up the wall on my way out and didn't even ask how the experience was. Good for him.Learn the menu. Execute better. The bad: ran out of fruit, over cooked eggs twice, burnt biscuit, omelet was meh. Service was slow, but friendly. Pros: server was friendly. The restaurant looks nice. read more

I don't like to give negative reviews but this one got me. My husband and I were feeling for some breakfast food so we decided to visit the First Watch in Decatur, Ga. The name of my server was Safiyyah (she wears big glasses). She comes across somewhat nice, but she isn't. The eggs, sausages and pancakes were cold. Just look at the eggs on top of the cheese and you can see that it's not melted. I specifically asked for decaf coffee and later that night when my heart was palpitating and I couldn't sleep, I immediately knew that she served me regular coffee. By the way, that was lukewarm also. I kindly asked for it to be hot, and she told me that she will have to brew another pot that will take about 7 minutes. I told her that I'll wait. Even though I waited, she clearly did not give me decaf coffee. How disappointing and scary when you can't trust your server. I still gave her a 20% tip. read more

Ok this was my first visit to FW. I was very disappointed in the service overall. My patients was wearing very thin as I was not wanting to be that guy. But I would have to say coming back here and spending my money will not be anytime soon or later. This place has no direction in its staff or leadership.
