I come here quite frequently. There are two things that are consistent about this place: the food is great and the service is mediocre. The menu is diverse and season-inspired specials keep the menu interesting. The service, however, needs improvement. I'm not sure if it's: a lack of servers; a less-than efficient system of cleaning tables; poor planning in seating guests and serving them in a timely manner; but you could sit and wait to be waited on for like 15-20min when there are 10+ open tables in the restaurant. If you have like 2hrs to go to breakfast, this is your place. If you're on a schedule, or just generally have a desire to be served in a timely manner, I'd probably just not. read more

My boyfriend and I go here every Sunday morning. Everything here is amazing! The classic eggs Benedict is superb. The avocado toast and the farmhouse hash are wonderful as well. The only thing better than the food is the staff. Every employee we have interacted with is full of joy and happiness. Love the new decor, and the menu changes look promising. First visit as the new place last week was great. restaurant was busy but we were seated right away. Had lovely lemon ricotta pancakes. light, fluffy, perfectly cooked, delicious. side of bacon was crispy and delicious. hubby had the veg omlette which came with a salad. a bit different for breakfast, but it was tasty and we're like, what the heck, its good to eat fresh. Server forgot our water, but apologized & brought it when asked. was nice and kept our coffee coming. Love the new decor. Second trip today was not so great. we went at 1:30pm, expecting the crowd to have thinned out. there were 5 groups ahead of us. no one there to great us when we walked in, & it was over 5 min. before anyone even came out of the kitchen. everyone looked very stressed. only half the tables occupied, but all the empty tables hadnt been bussed yet. hostess finally showed up and told us we'd be seated soon. one waiting group complained. hostess dropped what she was doing to clear a table. then she called a group that apoarently left, so she seated the next party, the woman who complained. she disappeared into the kitchen again for awhile. it didnt appear anyone was bussing tables. that was backing everything up, because you cant seat parties at dirty tables. i finally noticed one busser who was moving so slowly and inefficiently i couldnt believe it. never seemed to notice the line of restless people waiting. another waiting party walked out. took 30 min. to get a table. i counted 7 dirty tables that were not cleaned. ordered the same dushes as last time. pancakes were overcooked, and cinnamon was sprinkled on the bright yellow lemon curd, making it look dirty. broccholi in the veggie omlette was burned black. when i asked the server if there was a manager on duty, i was told there were 2, and both were busy cooking. obviously there was chaos in & outside of the kitchen. multiple complaints all around us. my suggestion: get a cart for the busser(s), hire another busser or let servers buss too. I saw at least $100 worth of business walk our in less than an hour. It was a totally different crew today than last week. and the day after Christmas, you gotta figure it would be busy & plan accordingly. Loved the decor and not much else. I ordered the lemon ricotta pancakes with eggs and turkey sausage. My pancake did not have one bit of ricotta and consisted of large piles of overly sweet lemon curd. My marinated berries were only sliced strawberries. I was in awe that I received one pancake instead of the stack I ordered. My waitress informed me that she made my order a combo to reduce costs; this might be something you want to ask the customer before doing. My husband ordered biscuits and gravy with eggs and hashbrowns. He received very undercooked potatoes which only tasted of raw onion, not sure how they would be considered hashbrowns as nothing about them was hashed or browned. The biscuits was not plural but followed the same line as my order. His one biscuit was very dry and the gravy did not help. When a southern orders biscuits and gravy you do not expect to have brown dinner gravy but a white milk gravy. If you want to pay for decor then this place is for you. read more

Some of the food was hot, while others were cold or lukewarm, and had definitely been under a warmer for a while. Had to get our own baby sling and additional silverware. The menu is very overwhelming, but my food was very good. I had two eggs, bacon, and a slice of French toast. The French toast came with whipped butter and fruit compote, both of which were great on it! I wish I had gone with just an order of French toast because after I finished I wanted more than just one slice and the butter meant you could balance out the sweetness with savory so I didn't really need the eggs and bacon. Those were both good, but there's not much you can do with eggs and bacon, so there wasn't anything special about them. I also ordered the Day Glow juice, which was kind of disappointing. I expected more of the orange flavor to shine through, but really it had a more watery flavor with the main flavor coming from the ginger-carrot aftertaste. It tasted very planty, when I was expecting more fruit juice flavor. It wasn't unpalatable, though. We got in around 8:30 and it was pretty empty, nothing like Egg and I. Our server promptly got us coffee and water, and was attentive and friendly. The food got to our table in a decent amount of time, but it took a while to get a check (which could be a bonus for people who like to hang around). Overall, I'd definitely return for more delicious French toast! read more

Great food but their online wait system doesn't make any sense. We checked in online and we were quoted an hour wait. We got to the restaurant with 15 minutes left of our original wait time, and we were told it would be another hour. When we asked about why we had to wait another hour on top of the one we already waited, the hostess told us that the wait time only starts when you physically check in at the restaurant. Isn't that the whole point of an online system? So you don't have to sit there outside waiting for a table? read more

I'll admit, me and my husband were pretty bitter about this place when they replaced the Egg and I, but we've grown to love it. The iced coffee is one of the best I've ever had. I always want to try something else on the menu but I can't get away from their omelets. If you're looking for a good breakfast or brunch place I highly recommend them.
