First time to this First Watch and I have to say it was not bad. The service here was fast and friendly. The decor is unique and it creates a good atmosphere. The dining room was very clean. I like the open ceiling design. There is enough wood to keep a woodchuck happy and enough metal to keep welder employed for over year. I got the basic breakfast, the Traditional. It was two eggs, meat, potatoes, and toast. The eggs were cooked perfect and I absolutely loved the chicken sausage. They offer turkey and pork sausage as well so they got a lot of options for breakfast meats. As a lover of breakfast potatoes, I wasn't a hug fan of their diced taters as I didn't really like the seasoning and I thought they were a little too greasy. Our server was friendly, attentive, and efficient. The coffee was average but it was filled and refilled several times. The prices are a little high for a lot of college students but the food is fresh and high quality. If you are driving parking is an issue as they do not have their own lot so you gotta find your own space. This may not be a big deal if you are an Ohio State student living on campus and you can walk. They have a pretty diverse menu with a lot of options. I will come back to give them another try and order something different as there were a lot of options I saw others eating and looking at the menu. At the end of the day First Watch is a great option for the area so don't let my taste buds dissuade you from giving them a try. read more

Food was very good. Kitchen was pretty slow? So as long as you have the time I would recommend.

I was visiting from out of state and found this restaurant on Yelp. SOOOO glad we went. The service was fast and friendly, the waitress was attentive and personal to each table, the food was INCREDIBLE, and very reasonably priced. I will defiantly come back here. read more

I love First Watch's other locations in Columbus, but this one is pretty amazing. Honestly? A great experience, I gotta say. I inadvertently came here on the first day that it opened and I'm glad that I did. I got the Heirloom tomato and Burrata toast and the Millionaire bacon and I'm telling y'all right now it was delicious. The toast had a little pouch of burrata cheese on it? Like seriously? I love that! The bacon was delicious! Definitely a place that I'm going to continue coming to and I'll be bringing my friends. Great atmosphere, friendly and hip service, delicious food; what more could you want? read more

Very average breakfast. Omelettes are thin, but nice they have healthy options and fresh juices. Service always seems to be slower. Also don't like greens are the side, and potatoes are extra. I mean who wants greens with an omelette in the morning. read more

After eating here a few times I can say that I like it and it's dependable. I appreciate the selection and great customer service. The avocado toast was so-so. I feel like it needs something. Solid breakfast! read more

This was the third time I had ordered from first watch and every time it was messed up. The first time I ordered my food smelled like smoke and it was cold. The second time I ordered they had forgotten part of the order. They were very nice and made good on what was wrong. But the third time my meal was an hour late and cold and they told me they would credit me back. I never received a refund as they stated and I even offered to drive the food back because they still brought it and I did not want it. They insisted I do not bring it back and they would refund me. A refund was never given. I will not order from first watch again. There just have been too many problems. read more

Delicious breakfast!! Had the traditional breakfast with freshly scrambled eggs topped with chives, extra crispy (my request) thick bacon, perfectly crisped diced potatoes, thick cut toasted artisan bread, and fresh strawberry preserves! A great cup of coffee & water was provided with carafes too- nice touch. My more-than-enough breakfast (could have shared it) with coffee came just under $14.50- and was worth every penny! Thank you First Watch for an excellent breakfast during my visit here in Columbus. Now I will walk it off! read more

Awesome place for breakfast! Delicious, fresh food & laid back seating areas, including some outdoor seating. Gets very busy but it is worth the wait. Their juices are amazing. read more

This location continues to disappoint. They constantly mess up orders. Today, I ordered the chicken salad melt to go and they had the audacity to package up clearly burnt toast. Who manages this place? How does a breakfast restaurant mess up toast? I will not be returning. read more

Don't order take out at or near the 10:00AM mark if you want utensils for more than one person when you try to pick up several orders at once. Great food. Poor customer service since no one checked to make sure there were enough all-in-one (utensils and napkins) kits for the number of orders! Frustrating. Oh, and don't bother contacting the manager or corporate. They won't acknowledge your inquiry--or complaint. First-time visit at that location and the last to be quite sure. Note: If they don't get competent (adult) wait staff on board I don't think they're going to be a hit with grownups aka parents of college kids who visit?!? read more

I'm not actually a big fan of First Watch in general. I don't hate it, but I don't love it. My wife talked me into coming here after she happened in, saying it was way, way better than she expected. I consented.... and this place is great. This is not a typical First Watch. The decor is stylish and up-to-date. The staff are all friendly, spry, and attentive. The menu was inventive and surprising. I had the seasonal Farmer's Biscuit Sandwich. It was delicious. It came with a side of breakfast potatoes. They too were quite yummy. I recommend this spot. You'll be surprised. read more

There was a Firstwatch near my hometown and I was excited to hear that they were opening on campus. However, to my disappointment I will not be revisiting this location. I ordered a side of bacon and got strips of charcoal with visible burnt spots. I'm appalled that the waitress and the cook decided to serve this. I later complained to the waitress and she said she would remake it for me, but I was just too disappointed by then. It costs $5 for a side of bacon... Unsurprisingly, there was a same review on google stating the same experience. Please train the cook. read more

This is the second time we ate at this location, and it never disappoints!! Love that we can add our names to the wait list while we're driving to Columbus! Anytime we are heading to an event at OSU, this is where we will eat first!! Coffee and water right on the table, so even if they're busy, you're not waiting for refills!!! And everyone is friendly!! And the food is delicious! Will be back... read more

A good selection of breakfast foods but heavy on the eggs. Also have lunch sandwiches and salad. An eclectic mix of dishes including Veggie burger, vegetable hash, omelettes, and crepes. Would come again. Be sure to check in online using Yelp to avoid the wait. read more

My party and I came in at 11am on Mother's Day. The guy at the front desk was extremely rude. We left and never will go back to this place.

Today, at approximately 12:45 p.m., my son and I walked down to this establishment for brunch. Since we've lived in the neighborhood for the past 12 years,we try to support new businesses as they spring up. We were seated by the very polite host. He gave us our menus and walked away. We browsed the menu, made our selections and we waited for the server greet us. 7 minutes later, a group of about 5 people were seated in the table behind us. Almost immediately, a server emerged and handed them menus. A minute later, the server returned with water for their table. My son and I are still waiting patiently. Another four minutes passes and by this time, I am growing impatient. The server continuously walked past without acknowledging us. Two minutes later, I had to flag the host down and tell him that a group of people(that came in 7 minutes after we were seated) were waited on before us and we were still waiting, 10 minutes later after we were seated. He apologized politely and asked if he could take my order, but I declined and decided to leave. I don't know if there's a system that you can implement to avoid these future issues but, I would greatly suggest it. I would hope to believe that it wasn't due to the color of our skin that we were not treated with courtesy. The server's name is Austin. Thank you, M. Monique Mitchell read more

I brought my sister and her boyfriend her for breakfast and they loved it. We waited a little longer than we would have liked but we were told about the app so that we can secure a spot in line without waiting at the restaurant so that will be nice for next time. Our server was on top of things and I noticed she had several other tables so I was impressed with how well she did with it being that busy. All of our meals were outstanding so thank you to the chefs and we will be visiting again! Thank you for a good experience. read more

LOVED THIS PLACE!!!!! New fav breakfast in Columbus. Wonderful atmosphere, coffee in the wait line, trendy bfast foods. Menu that's hard to choose from bc everything looks so good. 100% going back read more

Literally everything here that I have tried has been delicious, fresh, and not at all boring. It's not an easy feat to make breakfast food veer much from the standard fare, yet make it taste familiar and comforting. I had the elevated egg sandwich today, and it truly was! SO. GOOD. read more

The food was cooked just right and delicious. We had the Eggs Benedict with avocado, traditional breakfast and the Chickychanga. They don't have heat lamps so everything was hot and FRESH. The Morning Meditation drink was good, and the carrot-ginger chai tea was amazing. Service was good and the waitress knew the menu well. The Yelp waitlist function was convenient so we could see when we were moving up on the waitlist (we could have gone shopping nearby but chose to wait). We are definitely coming back. read more

First watch is an amazing breakfast and lunch place aka brunch. Food was amazing and the plates are very nicely sized. The menu has many choices and they offered to substitute anything on the plate so my experience could be the best. They are all amazing people and I couldn't have asked for better food. read more

My first visit to First Watch. They opened a location near my work so I decided to grab a bite and see what the hype was all about. After looking over their menu I decided on their Biscuits and Turkey Sausage Gravy with Eggs (they include a serving of their seasoned potatoes). Everything tasted great, not one issue with any part of the food. My only complaint is the cost. $10 for this meal is a bit too much, along with much of the rest of their menu. I know they are more of a "healthy" breakfast alternative but healthy shouldn't always mean more expensive. I think $7-8 would be a better price for this. I like the fact that there is another alternative for breakfast other than Panera or Waffle House (eek), but as it is with many of these healthier food establishments the price scares some away. Would I eat here again? Yes, absolutely. How often? Maybe less than once/month. read more

I go to this location often since I live around the corner but I have tried many breakfast and brunch spots and I always end up here. I am a loyal First Watch customer, however today I had an underwhelming experience. My roommate is vegan and discovered chocolate chips in her avocado toast. My go to breakfast spot. The AM superfoods bowl is AMAZING. The new location on campus is beautiful, very unique. Awesome setting, great place to bring a laptop and get some work done. They advertise to use there app but it's complete garbage. My wife and I did the get in line feature and it said 30 min got the confirmation via text. Drive across town and we get there in about 25 min. Go to the counter and they have no record of us, I show them the text and they said they will sneak us in. 20 min goes by and about 20 people get seated ahead of us I get mad and walk out. We see a jimmy Johns we order food completely eat and are going back to the car now it's almost two hours from initial appointment making almost an hour from "we will sneak you in fast" and I just now get the text saying table is ready. Forget this place. Moral of the story is forget the whole grain crap food and eat some jimmy johns. Never going back to first waitlist again. read more

Food is not that great for the money one pays for it. Service is shitty or maybe they got some vendetta against guys. Overall it was not a pleasant experience going here. Will never go to this place ever again read more

First Watch was such an amazing experience for us. It was Ohio State Football Saturday, pouring rain, and we showed up to see it was a 30 minute wait. Just shows how amazing the food must be if people are lining up! We opted for the community table which is open seating. We had the Farmhouse Hash Skillet - so delicious! It had the right amount of cheese, potatoes, avocados, and tomatoes. I would definitely have that again. We also had the Eggs Benedict (it was the seasonal braised short rib) and it did not disappoint! The kids menu is great and our little one had the French toast which she finished completely. read more

TL;DR: Good food, dirty glasses. Food is good and priced about right. Three meals with drinks and two sides came to $47. Service was fine but not great. We went on a busy Saturday morning after a home game, so that's to be expected. My principal complaint is that the water glasses and pitcher were dirty. I am picky about that kind of thing, but I'm not shocked if I find a couple floaties in the water at Waffle House or Bob Evans. But if I'm paying $15 per person, I should be able to drink clean water. And there were floaties folks, floaties galore. I'm sure I could have flagged down someone and gotten clean(er) glasses, but really, it's not my server's fault the dishes aren't being cleaned well. Furthermore, dirty water glasses indicates there may be a general lack of concern for cleanliness and hygiene in the back of house. And at these prices, I expect better. Edit: To their credit, First Watch offered to buy me and a friend breakfast. I went back on a weekday morning, and fortunately the water was clean. That's faint praise, but I do appreciate the gesture. read more
