I ordered the kiddie pancake online via doordash. Keep in mind, i ordered NO meat, just eggs. There was bacon bits IN MY PANCAKE. It looked like a mystery meat, but the smell gave it away. I called them and barely got any reassurance or nothing. Just "Call doordash and get a refund, or we'll make you a pancake here." Why on earth would I want ANYTHING from this place ever after that!? For starters, I cannot consume pork and I only eat halal meat, not from these places that market themselves as "clean, modern, trustworthy". What a load of bull. Love, love, love First Watch, but I will never go back to this location. I ordered a carry out order for breakfast, and when I arrived there were 7 Uber Eats/GrubHub workers waiting for food. They said they had been there for at least 20 minutes & their food said it was ready... but no food. I waited 10 minutes after my order was supposed to be finished, asked if they had my order, the host said they are showing it in the system. I waited 20 minutes, asked if I missed it or if I should still be waiting, and another host said "20minutes is the shortest of our worries". I finally got my food 35 minutes after it said it was ready. When I got home, there was a small piece of raw chicken in my parfait. The entire restaurant was crowded with people trying to pickup food. My suggestion would be to have a feature that shows accurate ETA for food so that this doesn't happen. Multiple delivery drivers cancelled their orders, and by the time I left, there were 10 delivery drivers still waiting around. I felt so bad for them. read more

One of my favorite spots to go to on campus! I used to go here all the time when I used to live in the area. They can get busy, but they would always have coffee out for you as you wait. I'm not sure if they do that anymore, but it was a nice perk! It usually has a wait on the weekends so just keep that in mind incase you go here for brunch. I always order the eggs benedict with a side salad and a side of potatoes. Their eggs benedict is one of my favorites. Their potatoes? Don't even get me started. You can make substitutions in your meal but theyre gonna cost you more than if you got the other meal which included the item you wanted. Usually this place delivers for me but this time it fell a little flat. I tried out the chickichanga and ordered via Uber Eats. What I got is pictured below. I think I was honestly most disappointedly the temperature of the food and the quantity of fruit. Considering that the fruit side is considered in the total price, the fact that I received a total of four grapes (and that's it) was disappointing, even a little laughable. If you don't have enough fruit for an adequate side, sub with something comparable, or adjust the price. Don't give a customer four grapes. The entree, while a little hastily and poorly constructed, was still flavorful. I thought the lemon crema was a little too lemony, but that might just be personal preference. My side of sour cream helped counter the high acidity that distracted from the rest of the dish. I also added hot sauce from home and helped to jazz things up. Potatoes were good and well seasoned, not too salty. I understand there's a lot of stuff that could have contributed to the preparation of this meal, and I've had good food before, so maybe this was just an off day. I ordered a delivery of the AM Superfood bowl (just over $10 on door dash, $9.29 on the cafe website) which consisted of toast with almond butter and a chia seed pudding with fresh fruit and granola. They were punctual with the order, food was intact just in a promiscuously large bag for a small order, left in full view on my porch. Food was quite good though; fruit was refreshing, toast was excellent although at room-temp and a bit hardened by the time I tried it. I ran into a couple of bland coconut oil-like chunks in the pudding that made me feel like I was eating globules of fat, but it didn't impact taste that much. We walked in right in time to beat the wait. We were promptly greeted and seated and food came out reasonably quickly. The menu is the same as all of the other locations, but they did have a few menu additions on a separate sheet. We both ordered the new açaí juice, which was delicious. I ordered the lemon ricotta pancakes which were light, fluffy and delicious! They came topped with strawberries and a creamy lemon curd. I added a side of bacon and was quite satisfied with the meal! Don't hog a huge freaking table when it's just the two of you! Go to Panera! The hostess was really nice and so was the manager. They kept updating us that they might leave soon, but gave up as the men continued to critique the interiors of the restaurant, it seemed. We squeezed at a booth and added another table for two. They really weren't allowed to do that because of fire hazards but they relented. I ordered the cinnamon chip pancake which came with eggs and meat. It's a seasonal menu item. I got the chicken sausage which wasn't great. The waitress suggested it but I guess I prefer pork. It was flavorful though. The pancake was good. Not super sweet, which I liked. Others at my table got omelettes, French toast, eggs Benedict, farmhouse skillet, and a sandwich from the lunch menu. Everyone enjoyed it! I've been to First Watch in Louisville, Lexington, and Cincinnati, so it's really all the same. Nothing spectacular. The French toast my friend got looked so blah. I had been to First Watch growing up and wasnt all that excited when my Grandma chose it for lunch. I don't love breakfast food and skip it entirely most days so the place just isn't really my thing. But I feigned enthusiasm and off we went anyway. When we arrived, I found all the familiar breakfast items on the menu but was surprised to see some trendy new flair! The salad I ordered was eaten to the last bite, and grandma smashed her eggs benedict like a champ. We ordered a few of their brand new fresh squeezed juices, with the best being a purple concoction that tasted like lavender lemonade. I even snuck in a breakfast cocktail that tasted exactly like cereal milk-- the perfect dose of nostalgia to remind me of growing up at grandma's house. No lot so you have to find metered parking or park in the nearby parking garage. First impression... Love the look! Farmhouse / industrial decor... Galvanized metal, chalkboards, farmhouse tables... I didn't like the entryway. When you enter, you are steps away from the hostess table which results in a single file line waiting to enter. Once you do make it past the doors there is a small waiting area. But... What is cool is they ask you for your number and they text u when your table is ready. So waiting outside when the weather is nice wouldn't be so bad. The menu had lots if variety, lots of "elevated" dishes from the traditional. In fact, I ordered the elevated egg sandwich. Bacon, an oozing egg, smashed avocado, cheese... I wasn't too excited to see it was served on what looked like a hamburger bun... But it worked! Soooo good. Their potatoes were tender with a bit if crispyness... Good. Hubby ordered "the Works"... He rated his food a 5. Ice coffee was the right perfect amount of bitter and sweet. Reminded me of a Vietnamese coffee. Service? Very friendly hostess. Our server was also very hospitable and prompt with our orders. She could have checked on us more but it was a very busy Sunday morning... So it is all good. They have 4 single bathrooms.. One for men, one for women, 2 for either. Clean. Nice privacy. But the people that work at this Columbus location from start to finish made me feel like this was a really local experience. From the second I walked in being wishy-washy about the table I wanted and they were completely, let me repeat that completely cool about it to recommending the absolutely most delicious thing on the menu to just simply being extremely cool people out of the gate.
