It's been a while since I've ordered any of the smoothies Clutch offers, for as you can see in my…read moreprevious reviews the quality of those drinks seemed to slip over time. But I do drop by Clutch sometimes for coffee drinks, usually of the iced or frozen variety. They're pretty good, though if you pick any of the flavored stuff you should be prepared for the sugar rush that will set in thereafter. I often avoid the flavor additions for this very reason. On occasion they'll even slip in a few shots of espresso on the house, which makes for a nice boost if you're into that sort of thing. The young folks working here are always polite and quick, and they've never gotten one of my orders wrong. Their location isn't hard to find, but there isn't much room to navigate from their order window back through the driveway they share with a neighboring business and then onto Lewisville-Clemmons. The site layout simply isn't great, so be prepared to contend with that.

The prices were reasonable, which is always a plus. I wouldn't recommend this spot for a big group, as there isn't much seating. Tables are small and better suited for about four people or fewer. The staff was super friendly and welcoming, which I really appreciated. However, I do have to be honest, the mac and cheese side was not good at all. Unfortunately, that was a miss for me, so I'd suggest skipping that item. Overall, everything else I tried was good, the service was great, and it's a nice spot for a coffee, bakery and or quick breakfast or sandwich stop.

The wrap was so-so but it was dated 5/8 and I didn't' see that until after I had eaten half of it. The hot coffees were warm as if they hadn't been heated hot enough or the carafes were left open. The cinnamon swirl did not taste fresh and the peach danish must have been a day-old or so. We agreed we might try it again, but it will be at a future random date. The owners are California transplants who aim to share their love of specialty coffee with the community. Offering a wide range of coffee, tea, mocktails, and cocktails as well as baked goods, they have something for everyone to sip on and enjoy. Offering a variety of monthly drink specials to choose from. I purchased the chocolate kiss, and it was delicious and even came with a Hershey's kiss. I recommend eating the chocolate before you start to enjoy your drink. It enhances the cocoa flavor profile and adds an extra depth to the drink's taste.

The ube gave it such a beautiful color and it tasted great. I could definitely taste the matcha. I also tried the Raspberry Rose macaron but that was a bit of a disappointment. I couldn't really taste either the raspberry or the rose. Since it was after 4 pm, I skipped the coffee (I didn't want caffeine keeping me up all night!) but they had a lot of interesting coffee options. We'll definitely be back to try one next time.

The three most popular drinks are the maple brown sugar shaken espresso, honey coconut matcha, and salted caramel mocha. All of their drink syrups are made in-house. Their spring specialty menu includes three drinks: the honey pistachio, honey brown sugar hazelnut, and the salted honey lavender. The barista was incredibly friendly and helpful in choosing a drink. She recommended the salted honey lavender latte, which I got iced. It was ready quickly, and the presentation was beautiful. The flavor was fantastic. I cannot recommend this coffee shop enough. They have a play area for kids over to the side, but there are only small windows that you would not be able to see in if someone were sitting at the tables in front of them, so that kind of defeats the purpose of allowing kids to play while parents rest and have coffee with a friend. There was plenty of seating and natural light. It's decorated beautifully. I tried the Salted Caramel Banana Latte and it was okay. It wasn't my favorite coffee I've ever had and a huge turnoff was the fact that it was a 20 ounce latte (a lot of shops offer a 24 ounce as their large size) and it was $9.00! That is insane to me! It had already been on my radar, so I was really excited--and honestly, I love a good mobile coffee cart where I can send my husband to order while I stay in the car in my pajamas instead of going inside and figuring out a menu. We showed up about an hour before their posted closing time, and the employee my husband interacted with was super friendly and helpful. They even mentioned that they sometimes stay open later if business is good, which I thought was cool. We ordered two iced drinks from their regular menu, and they even went a step further by asking how we actually like our coffee (strong, sweet, etc.), which made a big difference. They also gave us a first-time discount just for coming out, and both drinks came with cute stickers--my iced coffee even had the cutest heart-shaped straw! Most importantly, the coffee itself was perfect: strong for my husband and perfectly balanced for me. I also really appreciate that they offer milk alternatives like almond and oat milk, especially as someone who's lactose intolerant but still wants good flavor. We'll definitely be back and honestly, we might become regulars. If you haven't tried them yet, I highly recommend it!
