It had been a long time since I'd been to First Watch. I used to go about once a week for a power wrap when I lived close to the Rookwood location. The price is little higher than you might find at some other breakfast places but you will taste the difference that high quality ingredients make in inventive, seasonal offerings. There's something for just about every palate, including a number of healthy selections that don't make you feel like you're missing out. My most recent visit followed a medical screening that literally had me starving so I splurged on the Elevated Egg Sandwich. It lived up to its billing. An over easy egg was paired with bacon, Gruyere cheese, fresh avocado and lemon-dressed arugula on a brioche bun. It came with delicious seasoned potatoes and really hit the spot. I also love the Eggs Benedict Florentine, which is kinder on the calorie count but hearty and satisfying. Service is attentive and there's as much coffee as you can handle. read more

Seated with a view of the kitchen, the majority of my experience was watching many of the kitchen staff with masks below their noses or completely uncovering their nose and mouth. I asked our server about mask protocol, he asked someone (guessing the kitchen manager), upon which he called out to staff to mask up. Great! Then I watched the same line guy in a buff continue to allow his face to become uncovered. He consistently pulled it back up, but after minutes of being uncovered. Pretty disappointing, and I'm pretty uncomfortable going back to dine, or recommending it to others. My friend and I always enjoy eating at Anderson First Watch but this morning it was especially nice because of our waiter Jordan. He was friendly and attentive. When he delivered my friend's food, he told me he sent mine back because it didn't look up to standards. He then brought me the potatoes so I'd have something to eat while they redid my omelet. I'm grateful for people like Jordan and his supervisor who came out to talk with us. They remind me life is good. read more

Fantastic! Everyone was so sweet and welcoming! I felt right at home. I didn't feel rushed or awkward at any point. They were pretty busy. We just had to wait a few minutes while a ton of patrons were checking out as we entered. Check out is at the host station. There's a pretty large detailed menu. Most meals had a choice of three sides. My omelet was so good. It was fluffy and filled with toppings. I ordered The Works. I especially loved the mushrooms and onions. I chose hashbrowns. Fresh fruit is also an option. I wish had gotten the greens. There's too many hashbrowns. They took up half my plate. The coffee and the filtered & chilled water are so good. The coffee is available in ground form for just$7.99. I recommend taking some home with you. I like the cream & sugar options, pumpkin spice, vanilla creamer, splenda and natural sugar. We used to love this place but this was our first time back after a while, not sure what changed. In 45 minutes the only time a server gave us any attention, except for dropping off the food and running before we could say anything, was when I had to flag someone down to get us syrup after the food had gone cold. Finally started eating and there was a hair in the food. The server came to give us the check 20 minutes after we found the hair and when we mentioned it she just said "I'll see if the manager can take it off" No apology or anything. Manager didn't apologize either just took our payment at the end. I've worked in food service and to know someone is paying nearly $20 for slices of bread and fruit some respect would be appreciated. And I don't want to jump to conclusions but we are an LGBT couple and it felt to me like the hospitality ended as soon as the server asked if we were on one check, we watched her give amazing service to other people in the restaurant. This is a pretty good place. You can get real maple syrup (for extra money) and they're really good at substitutions. I don't feel like I'm ruining someone's day when I start asking about what's in this or that. They'll cook stuff in water instead of meat broth. They'll not put meat in stuff. They'll substitute dinky fruit cups for meat. Okay, I like it. Also, there's some app you can get to get a table faster. I'd do that. Waiting sucks. Listen, this is a dumb place in the dumbest white suburbs. Like who wants to sit around with a bunch of assholes who think they're better than everyone else? Not me. The food is always fresh and cooked right. At other locations they sometimes have issues with overcooking the eggs, but that has never been a problem here! I've been going to this location for years and have noticed the past three outings that the service is slipping...and $45 for two people for breakfast isn't worth it. We walked in around 7:15 am so it wasn't busy. No one was at the hostess stand so we waited...and waited. The service staff was in the kitchen and made eye contact but no one came out. Finally a woman sitting and eating to the right of us got up and came over and seated us. She gave us menus and again we waited and waited. A server had to pass us to take care of another table and still nothing. So I got up and went back to the hostess station to wait yet again. Come on, management, get it together. The owners may need to come in and parent everyone so they do their jobs. The food was good but it's hard to mess up pancakes and bacon. read more

Each time I go here I fall more in love! The food here is amazing and it saddens me that they are not open later in the day so I could visit more often. Everything on the menu seems fresh and healthy, but equally delicious. I also love that they have frequently changing specials to keep the menu interesting. The specials are my go to when I cannot decide what to order because I have to get them while they last. Not many restaurants provide different parts of the daily meals and execute them equally as well; however, the breakfast, brunch, and lunch all satisfy my cravings so well that it's hard to choose between them. Used to eat here years ago with my gramps, and I remember now why I loved it so much. It has everything that a health-conscious eater could ask for! The portions are big and full of flavor and there is a lot of variety in the menu. Went to breakfast with my son, on Wednesday morning, things kind of started off on the wrong foot, and stayed that way. We were second in line, with plenty of available tables, yet we still waited almost 10 minutes. Our server, we'll call "Lisa" had the resting B face, gave my son his coffee, right away, but we had to ask for water, and still wait 10 minutes for it. However we were very pleased with our food, but service was seriously lacking. Probably should have just driven to the Echo. The service is impressively speedy given that they always seemed to be slammed. Every time I go there, people are pouring out the door, waiting for a table yet they manage to get everyone seated and served in a timely manner. They also have complimentary coffee while you wait. Top notch service. Wonderful food! I've had their gargantuan omelets which are always a winning choice. My timeless favorite indulgence is a whopping stack of their plate size fluffy pancakes.
