Was in the area and looking for a good cup of coffee (cold brew) and found one. The staff were kind and welcoming. The place was homey. Seems to has lots of regulars but I wasn't made to feel like an outsider. Had a breakfast sandwich and it was just okay. Loved the cold brew! read more

This place is a little scary getting into due to people flying down Beechmont. If you do make it inside, you'll find a surprising amount of space and a beautiful mural. The staff were super nice and friendly, too. Definitely get a card to stamp and work toward a free drink! My fall-themed latte was also pretty good. My only complaint is the drinks usually take time to get cold even with me stirring them. read more

I love this local coffee shop. You can tell they love what they do. They make a variety of fresh pasties. Their drip coffee is freshly made and is usually what I get. Anytime I've ever had a friend visit we stop by and they love it as well. They even have spacious seating. read more

Luck man is a small little coffee shop off Beechmont that features a small kids play area, seating for working, and a few chairs by the window for conversing with friends. They have some fun drink flavors and unique snacks - I grabbed a Strawberry Cornmeal Muffin & it was delicious! It may be hard to find seating if you go during a busy time, but the people were friendly and the coffee was tasty so I recommend going for an afternoon pick me up! read more

Nice little coffee shop between Mt. Washington and Mt. Lookout. Stopped in on a Sunday around 12pm. Greeted right away, and the drinks came out pretty quick. The first thing I noticed is the prices. These have to be some of the best prices for coffee that I've seen in a long time. They have some pastries and a small menu for food as well. There is plenty of parking in front and very easy to get in and out of the plaza. No drive thru for coffee at this location. They also have pretty extensive hours. I love Luckman Coffee. I love Coffee. Must have all the caffeine. I stopped here mid afternoon for a pick me up. Their Cincinnati Mocha is the perfect pick me up at any time of day. What is this you ask? Basically spicy Chocolate, yesssss. This time I tried it with almond milk which I enjoyed as it made it a little less rich/filling. They had the cutest case full of all kinds of specialty muffins that looked irresistible, so I chose the Ginger Pear. It had real, large pieces of pear, and a light ginger flavor. It was super moist which was perfect, as a lot of times bakery muffins can be dry. The barista behind the counter was friendly and knowledgeable. Everything was clean and organized. There is a small seating area inside beneath a really cool mural. I think there are usually tables outside for the warmer months. There is also a small section of coffees for take home brewing! read more

Came to Luckman Coffee to meet up with a friend. If it weren't for my friend living so far away, I probably would never have stepped foot into this little coffee shop. Immediately upon entry, you can tell that this is a place for regular's in the area. The decor is sparse, but what decor there is, it's all about coffee. Old espresso presses and other little trinkets. They sell local Grateful Grahams and single-serving quiches, but I gotta say, their coffee is really great! And like I've mentioned in all my other reviews of coffee shops, I suck at coffee, but I actually really enjoyed it here! I ordered an espresso con panna and it was so well done, I, for once, didn't gag from drinking it! Well done!! The one thing I wish they had were homemade biscotti, as it would have made the perfect pairing. They do have packaged biscotti, but they didn't look very appetizing. Too bad! read more

This place won my heart in two visits. The first time I went, I had paper grading to do. They had delicious coffee to fuel me up and tasty breakfast sandwiches. And for real, I spent as much on a coffee and a breakfast sandwich as neighboring chain store Star "tastes like burning" Bucks would charge just for the sandwich. And Luckman makes a tasty breakfast sandwich that reminded me of something my mom would make. As opposed to microwaved frozen grossness of the other place. Second time, I needed to work on my syllabus and course documents for a new semester. If you ever wondered about adjunct teaching, this is when you basically render your pay less than minimum wage by spending pretty much two solid days getting things organized at the start of the semester. And then you still have weeks of teaching and grading ahead of you. Bleh. But anyway, I've digressed. I was gonna go straight for a breakfast sandwich and coffee again, but two of the brothers were discussing the names of their muffins. To make life more interesting, they decided to give them all strange names, partially to see what they could get people to say out loud. Officially, my kind of people. So I ended up with a rainbow sprinkles infested muffin called "Happy Man" Muffin and a wicked case of the giggles when I realized later on that I had a Happy Man inside me. The large coffee was perfect, and I sat and worked on my boring adjunct crap until it started to get a little crowded and I needed a change of scenery. Also, I bumped into someone I hadn't seen in ages, so that was cool. Love this neighborhood coffee shop for all its quirks and deliciousness. What a gem! Came on a Saturday morning for coffee with a former boss whom I know consider a friend. She suggested it as it's almost smack in the middle of us. I ordered a macchiato and quiche dog and loved both. We ended up talking for HOURS, almost until just before the placed closed (we arrived around 9:30). In the time that we were there, this place jumping almost nonstop. Lots and lots of people but it was never overly crowded. Unfortunately their web page says they close at 6:30pm monday-saturday and we got there on Wednesday at 5:20pm and they close at 5:30pm.
