The interior was so cute, this was my first time at a First Watch. I absolutely loved my meal- I got the Farmstand Breakfast Tacos and a Purple Haze drink and devoured my plate! My husband had the Beef Havarti sandwich and wow was it tasty. Good service staff is very friendly loved our waitress with all the tattoos. I downloaded this app literally only because I saw that this restaurant isn't at least a 4*. Every time I go is a treat, only place I'll ever eat ham and anything they put on your plate is delicious. Highly recommend coming here for quality food and the nicest people. Even when I ordered through door dash the food was fresh and delicious. Usually work or play late into the night and would make sure to wake up earlier than usual just to get some delicious breakfast. Not a big fan of bacon but my family kills for it so if you're a big bacon fan try me out too. read more

Many tasty and varied items to choose from, everything always fresh and well-prepared, and pleasant, attentive service make this a good go-to place when friends and family visit the area. The atmosphere is pleasant and - importantly - clean. Since I don't go looking for a gourmet haute cuisine experience every time I venture out for breakfast, I'm always happy when I end up here. Best scrambled breakfast eggs I've ever had. Fluffy, maybe cheese in them, not sure but whatever it was it made us come back 2 days in a row. Service quick and efficient. The actual food here is quite good. Fresh ingredients full of flavor well prepared. What is not good here at all is the 100 per cent consistency of the poor wait staff. I've been here several times and across the board if your ice tea or coffee is empty numerous wait staff will walk by and see that your drink is empty but not provide a refill because it's not their table. And if you have any extras to your order like no green stuff in your eggs no matter what you say it will always come out wrong because the wait staff doesn't care. They seem to love to hang out in the back and come out once every five or 10 minutes to check on their table and then go into the back and disappear again. Food equals good. Staff equals awful. Doesn't matter who your waitstaff happens to be. Service is not king here. read more

Worst lunch ever. Catherine our server was completely clueless and inept. After waiting for 1/2 hour she forgot half of our order. We reminded her and still after another 20 mins still nothing. Awesome food, pancakes are not as big as they advertise, but our server Katrina was super helpful and I ended up getting about a minute-long shoulder rub from her as she kept her arm around me for the entire time she was taking my order and a few times afterwards every time she passed me I'd get a little rub. It took us over an hour to get our breakfast, people who were seated before our party got served immediately, yes they lost our ticket and found it later . and didn't bother to apologize or anything , when our food did arrive , several plates were either missing toast or other items . We had to wait again over 30 minutes to get the missing items . The staff wasn't friendly as they should had been also, btw this was last Mother's Day , I realize it's going to be more busy but this was ridiculous. Won't be back . read more

Service was terrible. We were seated and after FIFTEEN MINUTES were not offered a drink, greeted or anything. Two other customers that came in after us were almost immediately greeted and received drinks. I had to get up from my seat and approach a server and after another three minutes someone finally arrived. The server, although was nice, only asked if we were ready to order our food, not our drinks first. She proceeded to explain that out of ALL of the tables, MY table didn't have a server assigned to it and joked that their kitchen should be better/faster [than the servers/service], a joke that I don't find that ammusing. Nobody likes to throw race into these things, but sometimes can be difficult when this happens to you, the ONLY ETHNIC customers visible in the building. In addition to that, the restaurant was FULL OF PEOPLE when we arrived (around 10am). The manager comes out after we get our food and took responsibility by covering the bill and saying that he forgot to assign a server to our table when he started the shift [at 4am]. I get mistakes can happen, but 1.) The place opens at 7am, and you're telling me that after 3 hours, NOBODY ELSE sat at that ONE TABLE?, and 2) I do not sympathize with you as a manager for having to do your job, no matter the time. That was a very uncomfortable moment for my girlfriend and I and it will be difficult to to reccomend anyone to this location. read more

Food was horrible. Eggs were greasy and sausage was under cooked. Over heard the manager talking smack about previous customer complaints and that he had to comp meals. So my wife and I decided to pay for the food we barely ate and left. It's just breakfast food, how hard can it be?? And it wasn't even busy. And if the customers are constantly complaining about the food, perhaps it would be best to listen and make certain adjustments. read more

I'd give it 2.5 stars if possible, but since it's not, I'll give it 2 stars. Went here today for breakfast and like my other First Watch experience, every server is under the age of 30, closer to 20. It is becoming something I notice after reading some of the comments on sites like Craigslist, the places that only hire a certain "type". The manager is middle aged and male, the servers young and female, the bussers young and male. While many places do have a youngish staff, when the entire staff meets a certain criteria, you know if is by design and not by chance. The crowd is a mixed aged group leaning toward the "old" end, so having a couple of servers who are a decade or two older than the current crop seems appropriate. Ah, now on to the meal itself. I had a cup of the complimentary coffee you can serve yourself while waiting for a table. It was "eh", so I didn't order it with my meal. I ordered a breakfast chicken burrito that had avocado, chicken, eggs, and something spicy in it served with sour cream. I thought it was pretty good, my dining companion who ordered the same thing said it was okay but he wouldn't order it again. The potatoes that were served with the dish were bland and greasy. The little cup of fruit salad that came with the dish had two grapes in it that were unacceptable-- one with an insect hole/nest in it and the other was rotten. Really? since both the defective grapes were face up in the tiny dish, it is obvious that the person preparing the bowl would have seen the unacceptable fruit but they made the choice to serve it anyway and the server didn't catch it, either. I think a basic expectation in food service is don't serve something to a guest that you wouldn't eat yourself. That means the crappy leaves of the lettuce head, the ends of celery stalks, the rotten fruit. Management needs to demand that employees pay attention to such basic expectations in food service. It makes me wonder about the rest of the food and the standards in the kitchen when such obvious details like a rotten /insect eaten grape are overlooked. What else is getting overlooked, ignored or used when it really shouldn't be? That is the question left lingering in my mind when restaurants make simple mistakes like that. Anyway, the place was packed so they obviously have their following, but my suggestion is to bypass First Watch and choose Katies (see my review) or some other mom 'n pop outlet that cares a little more about the food they serve. read more

It took me coming at least 10 times to finally give this place a review. Every time I thought maybe it'll improve but never did. Every time I come here it takes them about 30 mins before even acknowledging that I am here. To eliminate this I just always tell the host right away that I am here and they assure me a server will be right over. Every single time.... no server in sight... I have to tell them multiple times to even bring me me menus. Every time I tell them I've been waiting they don't even apologize... just leave me waiting longer. The reason why I keep coming back is because the food is decent and they have some healthy options. It's such a disappointment that they can't hire staff (not even the manager) decent enough to just take my order. It's a shame a lot of my friends and I will not be coming here until they figure out how to get some good staff.. read more

I sat outside with my puppy. The staff was very accommodating and updated me on the status of "my table" frequently. Once seated I ordered an orange juice and a water. They were promptly delivered with a smile. Since I'm very indecisive, I asked my server for her recommendation on which item to order and she informed me that the Ruben was great. I was not disappointed. Service was great, food was awesome, and I will definitely eat here again soon. read more

I have yet to find a breakfast/brunch spot that had wonderful coffee....This is my new morning spot. Plus its really close to my home. They also sell their coffee for only $5 a pound. All the hostesses and waitresses are super nice. Our food came out fast and very scrumptious...!!! read more

Normally when we travel we like to go to places we can't go to at home but Breakfast is breakfast so we ended up here at First Watch. The food was good and arrived quickly to our table. Once again as other reviews of First Watch, they need to up the coffee bean or at least use what other coffee houses use. Our server was very attentive and met all our needs. read more

I like First watch. I like that you can get a healthy breakfast if you're an athlete or health conscious. My sweetheart and I eat breakfast out together regularly on our days off but, the only thing that keeps us from coming back regularly is their coffee. I don't want to be rude but, it's nasty, and leaves a bad aftertaste. I've tried to like it because we like eating there but we are definitely coffee people and we can't do it. I hope management sees this and does something about it. read more

This place is awesome! We came to Bradenton for a vacation and were yearning for amazing breakfast food and we got it! We had the lemon ricotta pancakes and the smoked salmon frittata, with the kale and day time juices. SO GOOD loved the presentation and the flavors were perfectly balanced. We live 5 mins. From the Cortez location and have been very frequent customers since opening. This location has really gone downhill. The service is poor - always getting orders wrong. The new menu is also a disappointment. The worst is the take out service! We order take out often, or should say used to, after another bad experience today. They ALWAYS leave something out of order, even after telling you as they hand you the bag"I check d the order"- nope- still left soup out. Also, they never have enough help, as the same person running the cash register , of which there is only one, with always a long line with many retired snowbirds with parties of 8-10, sometimes more, each with separate checks are in line while the one cashier runs back and forth to kitchen to pick up take out orders as you The take out customer waits for everyone else to pay while your take out food sits getting colder. There are too many other great options in this plaza, including Chucken Salad Chick, Fratellos( with Awesome Salad Bar & service, and Bonefish Grill (open at same hours on Sunday brunch.
