This place was awesome. The owner was incredibly welcoming, and you can tell there's real intention behind what they're building here. We ended up chatting about the shop's history and future plans, which added a nice personal touch to the visit. I ordered the Simple Man and it delivered, super flavorful and more than enough food for the price. The space is casual and comfortable with plenty of indoor seating. Service was quick and efficient, our bagels were out fast and we were on our way. Definitely a great pre-road trip stop, especially with a 6am opening! read more

I drove about an hour just for this bagel and let me tell you it was so worth it! The bagel itself was the perfect texture and the fillings complemented it so well. I went with the Bee's Knees, since the cashier said that is her favorite, and I highly recommend! It was not overstuffed but had just the right amount of filling. The inside of the store is also very cute and feels like you're in a New Jersey bakery. I definitely want to make the drive again for another one of their amazing bagels! read more

OMG.....I have to come all the way to Florida now for a good bagel. Living in Massachusetts, I crave a bagel that does not taste like a roll. Ordered the BAGEL SANDWICH LOX SPECIAL...and it was special. Could only eat 1/2 so I have breakfast for tomorrow. My 2 companions were overly happy with their breakfast sandwiches. A New York friend of mine told me about this place and I finally got a chance to check it out. I've always complained about not being able to find a poppyseed Kaiser roll and they have it! The food was delicious. The signs say they use New York water for the bagels, and only use beef tallow. Though i don't know how true that is, the bagel I had tasted pretty fresh. It was busy when i went & the cashier seemed a bit overwhelmed. I wish the cream cheese was complimentary with the bagel. I wish there was free refill on the iced coffee. I visited Pork Roll Pete's and ordered a pork roll, egg, and cheese on a soft roll, along with hash browns and a raspberry iced tea. Everything was excellent. The roll was super fresh, the cheese was perfectly gooey, and there was plenty of pork roll--definitely not skimpy. The hash browns were a great side, and the raspberry iced tea was the perfect finishing touch. The service was fantastic--AJ helped me pick exactly what I wanted and made the experience even better. The total came to around $15 for the meal and drink, which I felt was a great price for the quality and portion size. The atmosphere was amazing and really reminded me of a classic NY/NJ deli. They also have awesome merch! I'll definitely be coming back and highly recommend checking this place out. read more

Pork Roll Pete's is a hidden gem! I ordered the Godfather and honestly may never eat another sandwich again--it's easily one of the best I've ever had, and that's saying a lot. I also tried the cheesesteak, which was good, though not a true Philly style. But let me be clear: the Godfather alone is worth the trip. I REALY wanted to love this place! I really did but I think this is a one and done for me gave it a try. First the prices are a bit High a bagel lox and cream cheese cost me $18 that's even more than New York sort of outrageous. There's like six people behind the counter and they're very disorganized can't get the food out in a timely manner when it's not busy. There doesn't seem to be an efficient system. Small sub sized sandwiches are almost $20 again very overpriced like everything else these days. Who can afford to eat this regularly? The food, it's good but not mind blowing the bagels are okay they are definitely not the same as New York Bagels even though they have some kind of New York filtration system which I don't even know what that means. It's worth a trip once, if you like it better than I did go back I wish them the best of luck. read more

A slice of home (NJ) in Florida. We stopped in this morning for the first time and had the traditional Trenton breakfast sandwich - pork roll, egg and cheese on a hard roll (plain or seeded). It was VERY good. We had the hashbrowns too. My wife and I could not finish the sandwich or both hashbrowns, so we took half of it home for tomorrow morning. Next up, we have to try the bagels.
