Well, I am back. We will see how it goes this time. Well, first, the drinks. So far so good. Coffee is still a bit weak but not unacceptably so. I do like strong coffee and maybe the regulars like it less strong. So, I understand that it is weaker than my taste. If you want juice, get the large. The price difference is inconsequential vs. the small compared to the size difference. So, as for the food, today I got the Parma hash with rye toast and fruit. Presentation was great. It looked very good. I like a good amount of butter on my toast, so, if you like lots of butter, just ask for it. I know why the toast comes without much. You cannot remove butter. You can add more but not add less. So, the taste of the toast was very good. They use a good quality rye bread. Again; the fruit was also very good. Nice mixture of fruits, not in surup. Tastes pretty fresh. Not sure if they cut their fruit from whole, if it comes from a can or a frozen bag, but it was tasty. The Parma Hash was quite tssty. Done well, and kudos to the kitchen for getting the over medium eggs correct. The yolks were perfectly liquid while the whites were done just right. The odd thing is, the food came out very fast. But, it did not taste or did not appear rushed. The hash itself was quite flavourful, and I would most definitely order this again. Service was solid. Emily got me what I needed. So, to summarize: Drinks are pretty good. I am still not a fan of the coffee. Too weak and I am not finding the beans pleasing. Juice was pretty good. I did like it. Water was wet. Not much to say about water (it's not why I came in anyway). Toast: Good bread, just ask for extra butter if you like lots of butter. Go with the rye. It's good. Fruit cup: Both times good. Not in syrup. The entrée: Excellent. It was great. I was pleased. Service: Emily was professional, nice, pleasant. Just what a server should be. We loved this restaurant so much we visited twice during our four day trip. Everything on the menu was delicious and healthy and perfectly crafted. Service is a little slow, you do need to be patient for refills and for your food to arrive, but it's so worth it. The first time I had the yogurt topped with granola and fresh fruit with a side of turkey sausage and a blueberry muffin. The second time I had the Floridian French Toast topped with fresh fruit and a side of bacon. Both meals were incredible and left me completely satisfied. We also tried the wake up call and both juices on the menu, they were delicious as well! First Watch is definitely a must if you're looking for a healthy, but delicious breakfast! read more

Haven't been here in a while. Was surprised how busy they were. I guess because it's Sunday after Mass. we had a very amazing waitress with a very different name. Kefondra was as amazing a waitress as she was beautiful. Efficient kind friendly and so beautiful. She's from Louisiana. The food was great but a little pricey for breakfast. We did enjoy how quickly we were seated as this place is huge. They have an efficient system for seating. Place is clean and cute with a rustic vibe. We will be back sooner this time read more

Terrible service today, Saturday, October 16, 2021. Signed with reception at 10:10, called for next to be seated at 10:30. Waitress was very pleasant, brought coffee right away. However, due to the kitchen being overwhelmed with Door Dash, UberEATS, etc food took a very long time. It seems to me that First Watch would rather cater to delivery than in-house customers. We've been to many First Watch restaurants before but never to this one and I was very disappointed. To start off the bathroom was very dirty and as for the food, the server couldn't get my simple order right and I will NOT send anything back at a restaurant. Terrible experience this morning! Made an order on the app at 8:05am for pick up at 8:45am. I show up at 8:45am and have to wait another 25 minutes for my food. When I get home the tortilla on the item i ordered is burnt black on the top and bottom. Tasted awful! The manager looks overwhelmed with his job at this location. The menu has changed over time; I think too creative adding too many ingredients to items that don't need anything added. I will use one of my favs as an example chicken salad. They've added so many fruits and it is no longer a typical chicken salad, it's a fruit salad with chicken. Hence my disappointment and need to find something else. I had a BOGO for my birthday and could not find 2 items to purchase that were not overloaded with so many odd (to my taste) to be mixed in. So I ordered the Lemon Curd pancake, thankfully the waitress warned me about how big they are, and I ordered one, and it was HUGE! The lemon curd was very tart and very sweet, I ordered without powdered sugar - it was already so sweet. I did take the lemon curd off the top and did not eat it, although the tart flavor ad already invaded the tasty pancake. I will give them another try, but was very disappointed with how they try too hard to make combinations of too many items. Most of the choices have bacon, avocado and cheeses; not everyone can eat these items nor like them. It's popular but not everyone's choice. Kuddos of the table cleaning and sanitizing! Nice to see! What was disturbing to see is too many waitresses with long hair NOT tied back, but hanging down their faces. Love the food here - great selection, good size/portion and I know I can get a healthy breakfast here. We had the sausage hash and I love how they "bake it" in a ceramic "pan". The potatoes were crispy and overall delicious meal. Our server wasn't the sharpest tool in the shed and didn't really get our order right, but is what is. The food is so delicious and the staff is very friendly. The atmosphere is very cozy and feels like a southern homey grandmas cooking type of place. The coffee is pricey because you buy a whole pitcher so I may skip that next time. I heard wonderful things about this restaurant from mixed company. You never know who you can trust these days because most people have terrible taste in food. And, well, almost everything else. That is why Fox News is still around... Anyways, I looked their menu online and was interested in trying the Acapulco Express omelet because it has chorizo and green chilies in it. Well, I never knew that both of those items would ever be this bland. At first, I thought that it must be healthy, that is why it is so bland. But it is neither healthy or flavorful. Therefore, it is not worth wasting my time any further with this place. If I am going to eating fattening food, it might as well taste like something. They also have Greek inspired items that contain Feta cheese, but I am sure they will find a way to make that bland as well. Oh, coffee is $2.00 here. read more

This was my first time here today (5/25 1pm ish) and it was not a good first impression. My husband and I were seated right away since it wasn't busy at all. The reason I give 1 Star is due to the service. After we were seated, I timed it 7 mins we sat there waiting to be acknowledged as severs kept passing us by, we watched as others got seated and drink orders taken as soon as they were seated, yet we were wondering why we were ignored. There was at least 4-5 servers "working" since it wasn't busy they just walking around or chit chatting. My husband and I were about to get up to leave until finally 1 server (Jamey) asked if we were helped, I said no and we've been sitting here at least 8 mins. She apologized and said this wasn't her section, but would help us anyway- which I appreciated. So kudos to Jamey. Honestly we felt as if we weren't important enough, maybe we weren't dressed up enough or weren't tourists, I'm not sure why we were ignored. My husband and I are both teachers, we may not be rich like your usual patrons, but never judge a book by its cover or treat people unequal especially in a time like this- we were actually trying to help a local business. The food was good, but overpriced and portion to price ratio was not equivalent. This is our first and last time here. read more

I attended a Yelp Elite Squad event at their newest and coolest Jax location (with BOOZE!!) a few months ago, and have eaten at a number of their locations. This updated review is based on their new menu. The coffee is consistently bitter, weak and awful. They SHOW real roast beef (and other real meat/poultry) on their signs, table cards and menu, but what you get is chopped, pressed and formed processed meat, NOT REAL ROAST BEEF (or poultry, etc.). That is called bait and switch, false advertising, fraud, serving fake meat junk food. I like the idea of their half sandwich and salad or soup, but the FAKE MEAT is a serious drawback. That stuff is overly salty, as is any salad dressing they serce. This place won awards? For what? Because they could afford to pay off the award company, that's why. They don't deserve any awards. UPDATE My dad made me go here with him, and I discovered real sliced meat in his sandwich. The soup was still served cold, but my Monte Carlo sandwich was quite good. This is a solid place to go for a casual and delicious breakfast! Their coffee is okay and I like that they give you your own pot so you can refill your mug as you want. There are plenty of healthy options (my mom LOVES their quinoa bowls) and I found it very easy to eat vegetarian here. I asked them to replace the bacon in their Avocado, Bacon & Tomato Hash with their veggie burger patty and they were happy do do it (and it tasted great)! When our food was FINALLY ready at 11:38am & we were starving, we dove into it while driving home. I love first watch but haven't been in awhile so I decided to go there before my appointment. I arrived at 10:15 and was promptly shown to a table and they said the server will be right with me. It was not busy at all a few tables had customers. I sat there for 15 minutes and no one came over to greet me or to say I will be right with you. Let me tell you the veggie sandwich was amazing, it was warm and full of veggie goodness and flavor. On the other hand, the kale salad was underdressed with an abundance of carrots...it actually lacked flavor of a typical kale salad BUT it was not horrible. Fantastic breakfast and brunch! The huevos rancheros are simply terrific; great sides on all dishes as well. Wonderful staff and service, very quick and courteous. Great outdoor seating too, lots of umbrellas and lots of water too keep cool. Convenient parking and location, definitely not difficult to get in or out. I like first watch but not the one on Cortez rd in Bradenton. Second time food took forever to come I gave them a second chance and they failed miserably. It took 35 minutes from order to table for eggs n pancakes. The eggs weren't cooked and cold They forgot my side order of potatoes and had the nerve to bring it when I was done eating The table across from us two people walked. Out because their food never came. They don't know how to run the place. The kitchen is run horrible. Go to the one in Sarasota. It's def 4 stars compared to the one here.
