It is part of the mall, but towards the front, so it's a nice vibe and not too close to the craziness. I went with my daughter who is OBSESSED with the fries. And those fries are super duper tasty. I got the chicken sandwich with a pretzel bun and it was the thickest chicken sandwich I may have possibly ever had, but very good. The flavor is very robust, and I enjoyed every bite. I will say that if you are sensitive to spice, get it without the seasoning as it can be intense. They do let you choose the intensity and also have numerous sauces you can choose from. Would highly recommend!

The food is always incredible, but what truly sets this place apart is the people. Kylie, Nathan, Maddie, and so many others on the team consistently go above and beyond to make us feel welcomed, cared for, and genuinely valued. Their kindness never feels forced -- it's just who they are. One moment that really stayed with me was when I brought my young niece, who has several allergies and can also be a bit picky with food. The chef personally came out to our table to ask thoughtful questions, understand her allergies better, and make sure she felt safe and comfortable eating there. That level of care meant so much to our family. Now that I'm pregnant, the staff continues to be just as attentive, accommodating, and thoughtful. They always make sure I'm comfortable and taken care of, and it honestly feels like visiting friends every time we walk through the door. Restaurants with great food are everywhere. Restaurants with genuinely wonderful people are rare. Jack Allen's is one of those rare places, and we're incredibly grateful for the amazing team there.

My husband got the fried pork chop and said it was cooked perfectly and that the gravy was delicious. Overall, an enjoyable meal and we would return.

Parking at Mutts was pretty smooth but it does look like it could be difficult on days or times where many owners decide to stop by. When entering there are a lot of security precautions in place ensuring that it would be VERY difficult for dogs to escape which is much appreciated. To get into the dog park itself you need to purchase a day pass which runs $14, there are other options like weekly, monthly, or even membership passes but as first timers we didn't want to commit too hard just yet. Ordering is pretty straightforward and the food options are simple, burgers and tenders and fries. They do also have a dog menu but it is very lacking for being a dog focused place, just two options for dogs and both involve peanut butter so in the case your dog is strange and doesn't like peanut butter then you're out of luck. There's a good amount of seating on the patio for food and the interior of the dog park also has a lot of seating and things for dogs as well like rocks, baths, and water bowls. They have a big screen out in the yard too so if you're into sports and would like to bring your dog somewhere to watch then this is a great option. Beware that you SHOULD NOT bring food into the yard, they don't explicitly say it but just know that is not a good idea. Overall, Mutts is an awesome place to bring a dog and just hang out and have them (or you) socialize. Consider stopping by with your dog when you have a chance!

When we walked in, we were greeted by beautiful decor, though it seemed quite busy, so there weren't many staff members at the front to welcome us. I chose the fresh burrito to avoid simple carbs. The food was a bit mild in flavor, so I asked for salsa. They have a delicious homemade habanero salsa that's bursting with flavor, and I especially appreciated that it wasn't smoky. That salsa alone earns five stars from me! Restaurant was very pretty and clean…read more I ordered fried pork chop, mashed potatoes, jalapeño gravy and an extra side of macaroni & cheese. It was all beautiful to look at but was the worst food I've had in a long time. Some of the Pork Chop breading was fantastic. Salty and very seasoned but unfortunately some of it smelled and tasted like fish. The pork chop itself was absolutely awful. So many tendon-y or grisly-pieces or I'm unsure what the true technically correct term is but they were gross. I kept spitting those pieces out, trying to give it a fair chance but apart from the texture some pieces did not smell good like old pork and some of the breading smelled of fish. I just couldn't stomach it. The potatoes were OK. The gravy was great. The mac and cheese had not one single aspect that was actual mac and cheese. Not one shred of cheese, not one drop of liquid cheese. Zero cheese flavor. If there was any cheese on it at all I certainly did not "recognize" it and that is terrible. Zero flavor, salt, or seasoning at all. It was simply boiled pasta shells. I also got the dump cake no ice cream. I don't understand all the rave reviews. It was also very pretty and the texture was moist amd fluffy. But flavor wise it simply tasted like sugar with a slight hint of I'm unsure what.. I give almost everything a 2nd chance. So I'm willing to try it again. This was so incredibly bad I just can't believe that this is the norm.

Perfect Birthday Celebration at Roaring Fork!…read more On Sunday I celebrated my birthday at Roaring Fork with my family, and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. The food was outstanding, and the view overlooking the quarry made the evening even more special. One of our favorite perks was that Happy Hour is available all day on Sundays. We started with a traditional margarita, a mango margarita, and a few mocktails, all of which were excellent. For appetizers, we shared the shrimp cocktail, fresh guacamole, and chicken flatbread. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and a great way to begin the meal. For our entrées, I ordered the cedar-planked salmon with miso soy glaze, and it was absolutely delicious. The salmon was perfectly cooked and practically melted in my mouth. My partner enjoyed the same dish and loved it as well. My youngest daughter ordered the New York strip steak with mashed potatoes, her boyfriend chose the ribeye steak with French fries (they definitely have expensive taste!), and my other daughter had the grilled rainbow trout. Every dish was beautifully prepared and thoroughly enjoyed. The red wine paired perfectly with our meal, and the staff graciously allowed us to bring a birthday cake, which made the celebration even more memorable. Between the exceptional food, beautiful atmosphere, great drinks, and attentive service, it was the perfect birthday celebration. I highly recommend Roaring Fork for a special occasion or a relaxing Sunday meal with family and friends.

More and more, going out to eat in the U.S. has been a disappointing, underwhelming experience. I…read moreunderstand that time is money and that waiters and waitresses are working for their tips, but it truly sucks that it has become so difficult to actually enjoy your time in a restaurant, to just sit and relax without feeling this underlying rush. It's something that seems perfectly possible in pretty much every other country but the U.S. The moment you sit down, the waiter asks what they can get for you. They handed you the menu three seconds ago. There was absolutely no time to glance through it, evaluate your options, or discuss them with whoever you're sharing the table with. This happened at Roaring Fork, but it also happens 95% of the time I go out to dinner. Then the food comes, you eat, say no to dessert, and voilà: the check is waiting for you! Again, you can't just sit back and relax, take your time deciding whether you want dessert, maybe order a coffee or another drink. They want you out of there ASAP, and somehow you're still expected to tip 20%, which is ludicrous, but this is another conversation. Now, specifically regarding Roaring Fork, I do wonder what actually constitutes a "fancy" place. What is it? The view of the lake isn't exactly impressive. The inside is cute. Does having a cute interior make a place fancy, is that it? Or is it the high-priced menu? There's no bread offered at the table, nothing particularly special. I am genuinely lost when it comes to what makes a place "nice" these days.
