Love this place!! Food is fresh and tasty. I have liked everything I've ordered - eggs, pancakes, juices, etc

I've been eating regularly at this First Watch location since August 2018, and I keep coming back for my go-to, The Traditional. The food is always dependably good. But, more importantly, the staff is great -- the servers, the busers, the managers and so on. It's one thing to get a great meal. It's quite another to consistently get great service. Yes, the line might be long on the weekends, but, to me, it's worth the wait! read more

Went at 845 on a Tuesday. Sat outside. Pros- food was great, overall. Perfect waffle, oh my goodness. Cons- I had to ask the waiter for water (my companion had gotten there first and so he ordered a hot chocolate and there was a carafe of coffee on the table), the turkey sausage patty is a but thin/lackluster, and there are no heaters for the patio. Would definitely still return, especially in a pandemic. read more

I ordered food from this first watch location Sunday morning and it said it would be ready in 13 mins. I got there about 15 mins later and my to-go order was not on the shelf. I asked the host about my order and he informed me they are flooded with online orders and my order will come out when it's ready-that they're trying to get everyone's food out as fast as they can. 30 mins later my food is brought out, I get home and it's cold, as in cold to the touch and I also ordered extra potatoes and there was no extra side of potatoes. I ordered my eggs over easy and they were cooked over hard and again COLD to the touch. I live 6 mins away so it didn't get cold on the drive home. It was cold to the point where it had clearly been sitting back there for the whole 30 mins I waited and they just forgot to bring it out to me. I called twice to speak with the manager about this issue and nobody answered the phone and there is no way to leave a message. This isn't the first time this has happened and I didn't leave a review before but now that it's happened twice I feel it's necessary. I would love for this business to make this right and refund me my money. I also tipped 20% like I always do and all that did was get me cold food... & no side of potatoes even though I was charged for it. Very disappointing. read more

Delicious FRESH food. Go!!! You will not be sorry. Forget your waist line and splurge for the potatoes. Your tummy will thank you. Sadly no mimosas or bloody Mary's. Only suggestion at this location ...the entrance is a MAJOR CLUSTER MUCK!!! Needs to be reconfigured. Way, way, WAY to congested. Podium and register needs to moved to the side or take payments at the table to alleviate the problem. The cashier was so confused and could not accommodate our party of 5. When we said put a 20% tip and divide by 5, he could not figure it out. We figured it out for ourselves and said it was $20 a person and handed him four $20's and 1 debit card. He was lost. We were on a girls weekend and handled every tab this way throughout the weekend. Never a problem, till this a guy. He needs more training !! read more

Ordered online for pickup because we just needed a quick bite to eat. The estimated pickup time was 11:17, our order was ready until 12:15. I understand things happen beyond the staff's control, but nearly an hour off is unacceptable. Not to mention the food was greasy and cold. Hard pass on ever returning. read more

I feel the quality has deteriorated significantly after they changed from the Egg and I. We had the Bananas Foster French Toast. Basically it was a decent French Toast covered with over ripe bananas smothered in a brown sugar and starch sickeningly sweet sauce. However what really discussed us was that almost all the wait staff did not wear masks. Obviously they do not care how many people they make sick. read more

It's very frustrating to come to First Watch because there is always a wait --waiting 45 minutes so far--but so many tables open. Obviously they don't have enough wait staff! It's sad because the food is good but I won't be back! read more

Signed up on waitlist, waitlist said table will be ready in 15-20 minutes. Talk to hostess and was told wait will be another 15-20 minutes. You lost our business. Please train your staff better. read more

If you're sensitive to caffeine, do not order the decaf coffee. Mine was loaded with caffeine and undrinkable for me.

Yikes, worst First Watch experience at this location. Service was bad - slow, kids order wrong, my order missing items, no silverware (had to ask), no syrup (for 3 pancake orders - had to ask), one order came out 10 minutes after the other 3 - no explanation or apology. Food that did come out accurate was not good - bacon was hard and cold, pancakes were over cooked and dry / falling apart. We were asked when paying the bill how everything was - explained all of the above politely, was told oh wow sorry - that's it. I'd stay away from this location unfortunately. Seemed like more was wrong than just having an "off day". read more

The first time I went here the service speed was average, the food ok. The second time I came here I had a much worse experience. Let's start with the host/hostess. We got there around 1:15 on a Sunday and the place was busy. We had already put our name in and needed to check in with the hostess. She was busy ringing people out. When she was done she walked right past the 2 groups that came in--us inc--and acted like we didn't exist. She started to buss tables and ignore us. Then the host walked up. By now about 7-8 min had passed. This host only had eyes for the person in front of him. He ignored those of us who had stepped out of his range of sight so we didn't block the door. We finally check in and wait for our table. We get seated and a super nice waiter takes our drink order. We had enough time to look at the menu so we were ready to order by the time he came by. He took our order and left. We got our drinks and proceeded to wait for our food. And wait. And wait. Our food finally arrived 45 min after we were sat. By now it's 2:15 and people are starting to clear out. We start to eat and I notice my food is cold. Not super cold but cold enough to notice it's been sitting there a while. My husband's omelette looks mostly white with a hint of yellow in the center. Almost like they started to make eggs over easy then realized it was supposed to be an omelette so they quickly changed it. He got the works, which had nothing poultry inside. Except for the chunks of turkey mixed in. For most people this isn't a big deal but he's allergic to poultry and if he had ingested that things would have been bad. We pick it out and finish our food. For such a health conscious place you would think they would be more careful with cross contamination. But I guess not. Needless to say we won't be going back. Sloppy cooks, rude host and hostess. Based on how busy it is all the time I was hoping the food would be better. Thanks but no thanks. This place is off my go to list now Update: After receiving a message from Cassie, I gave her my mailing address so she could send me a coupon to return to the restaurant. I have never received the coupon after 1 month so my original review still stands, with no amendment. This restaurant is off my to-go list permanently. But feel free to go here if you like rude hosts and your food full of things you didn't actually order and may not want to eat. read more

My wife and I are regulars here and We have tried almost everything on their breakfast menu and they always deliver quality food very reasonably priced. It gets pretty busy on the weekends so be prepared for a bit of a wait but I think it's worth it. read more

We came on Father's Day and it was packed for breakfast/lunch. Our server, Ashley, was very attentive and friendly even though it was very crowded. My family got the works omelet (the one w/the meats), my daughter and I got the new summer menu items. She went with the crab omelette and I the carnitas bowl (not quite sure of name.) Everything was very fresh and full of flavor. We also ordered the summer blush drinks, which was refreshing and fruity. The only thing I would say is the carnitas that I ordered had very little pulled pork, but what was on the plate was tender and absolutely delicious. It was quite a wait for seating and a little wait for food as well. Not sure if it was Father's Day that made it so cramped, but would definitely come back if we wanted breakfast again. read more

This place has pathetic service. They delay the order and are arrogant when asked for a ETA even after significant delay. The food is okay and nothing great. I am never going back. read more

When you make such a great presentation of your food and its delicious yet you fail miserably when it comes to your restrooms!

Love the toast. Yes their bread is that good, everything else I have had rocks also. Wroth the wait

I went to First Watch on N Hwy 183 and Lakeline Mall blvd. I had the Avocado Toast and eggs. My friend had the trio of eggs, waffle and bacon. Both were very well presented, of fact really beautiful and tasted absolutely yummy. This will now be one our favorites to go to for breakfast! read more

Salmon frittata was super delicious!!! Will go back again. Healthy and tasty breakfast!!

I have been to first watch in the Houston area; they generally serve legit breakfast items. We decided to go there for brunch. Husband ordered the trifecta, I decided to try their summer elote skillet with poached egg. My husband immediately said when I ordered my eggs cooked this way, "I hate when you order your eggs poached because people rarely get it right and you get upset." Was he foreshadowing? One yoke was slightly runny and the second was not runny at all; other words, they were overcooked. There was barely any corn on my "elote" dish. They also left the avocado off of my dish and I didn't realize it until after the fact, then I realized why it wasn't that good. Told the waitress and her excuse was that it was a new dish. I hate excuses, just apologize. They ended up giving me 50% off that one dish. Then I asked for a cup of coffee to go; 10 minutes later still no coffee. I'm assuming she forgot. Ended up asking the guy for coffee to go when I was paying for the food. He got it right away. Stars docked for inattentive service. read more

Small place, but great food. It does get busy and the wait is long, but it was forth it! I had there Lemon Blueberry Quinoa Pancakes and they were delicious. My son had the Traditional breakfast, and he eat all the eggs and sausage, he did eat half the pancake. My husband had the biscuits and gravy, they were good, but not the traditional style. Overall the food was good with good flavor. Looking forward to coming back. read more

We absolutely love this place for breakfast! We get the AM superfoods bowl most of the time, but you can't go wrong with their other menu items. The food is really fresh, prepared well & you don't wait too long for it. The staff is also very friendly & remembers our orders. If there's a wait, just log into their app- you can get in line while you drive up there. We've tried every other breakfast spot in the 10-mile radius, and this place is by far the best! read more

Tried today for lunch and should have picked another day. Seemed short staffed and took a while for the server to greet us. If it wasn't for her engagement it would have been worse that's why 3 stars. Food was cold and not remade because we had to leave. Have heard good things and willing to try it again. read more

Food is great and the vibe is rustic farmhouse. The dishes are creatively prepared and taste good. Prices are a little high, but at least the food is somewhat healthy for breakfast, and tastes good. My only gripe is the temperature inside - super hot and humid depending on who's working and running the thermostat. It feels like the AC isn't even on - muggy and uncomfortable. Also, they should have an option when ordering a meal, to add a pancake as a side for slightly less cost than full price. read more

We went here for brunch because the website said 0 wait time. They do not update website. Even though the wait was an hour we put our name down. We were standing near the hostess desk. A few people said they had been there longer than an hour (we overheard them talking). When a couple of men came to the hostess and said they had been there well over an hour and they still had not been called, she looked over the list. When she found them she said (not in a nice way), 'we text you a long time ago and you never responded.' Looking at their text they said they never got a text. Her response was 'well, technology doesn't always work.' I think this is s training issue. Teach them to first apologize then see what they can do to get them seated. The restaurant chooses to use technology. Some will say this has to do with short staffs and such but this location has this sort of issue before the pandemic. No excuses! It doesn't cost them anything to be nice and help customers. It does, however, cost them when they are rude. We left and went somewhere else. A restaurant can have mediocre food and be hugely successful with good service, but if the service (especially the hostess as they are the first you encounter) is bad then the restaurant is not as successful as it could be. read more

The online check in was nice. We got a table pretty quick. The issue was we had to wait an hour to get our food after ordering. Our silverware was dirty and when asked for some clean ones they came out dirty also. Server was nice, but we had to flag her down to get refills. The food was decent, but not worth the wait or price. We won't be returning. There are plenty of other breakfast places with food just as good if not better and better prices. read more
