Needed to get a last-minute storage for a delayed escrow move. I walked into First Street Storage and met with A.J. He was very knowledgeable, cordial and professional. Due to his professionalism, I signed on the spot. The facility is well kept, the storage locker (10x30) was well maintained and clean. " Pearl & Jonathan, The Managers Were Very Nice " I moved to Beaumont California and needed a new storage facility. I went to every storage facility in Beaumont, CA to get the pricing and see the the units for rent. The First Street Storage was the most expensive by only a few dollars, but I picked them over everybody else because of Pearl and Jonathan Welshimer the managers honest answering to all of my questions, and the nice units for rent. Pearl took me on a tour and showed me all of the different storage rooms for rent, and really made me a good deal, as they have great monthly discounts for new renters. They also have a moving truck available for you to use. Pearl & Jonathan have very nice personalities and I love their straight forward and professional answers to me. My mother have been renting storage space from here and she called on the 7/9 for her balance and on 7/12 they added an additional 48.00 and refused to explain to her why the additional fees. This place is a joke and that's why their reviews are so horrible. I will not stop here I will be contacting the better business bureau and seeking legal representation and corporate about these malicious extra fees and no explanation. I'm very disappointed and will be moving my stuff immediately. I guess my mother isn't the only person charged malicious fees with no explanation from the reviews. I'm seeking legal representation and smells like a class action lawsuit. read more

I use to have a good relationship with this business. On 12/28/ 2021 I called to make a payment. There was a dispute about how much I owe. Then the call was interrupted. I ended up speaking to the manager Pearl. Her tone was quite unusual and rude. Normally she's super sweet . I asked to talk to her boss but she said no, there's no one over her. Then a second dispute happen over a lock that she had agreed to change for me. However, she insisted that she never agreed to change the lock plus there was no agreement about a lock because it was not in her notes. I hung up and found the the receipt where I has paid for the lock to be change. I will remove my property from Ms Pearl's business. And not look back. It's so unfortunate that in a manner of a few months the manager Pearl changed. It was pretty shocking. read more

This place is such a rip off the manager is so rude. My stuff was in there for almost two years when I went to take my stuff out it was ruined by rats they had got Into my unit and tore up my clothes and stuff I had in boxes I had to throw most of it away. I didn't even get an apology instead I got an "oh well We don't insure your stuff here." After all of that I took out all my stuff from the unit and let their receptionist know I was taking my stuff out two weeks before my rent was due and still they tried to charge me for the unit when nothing was in there. I will NEVER recommend this place to anyone. And if I could give it less than a star I would. But the managers husband was really nice and helpful when I had questions. read more

FSS is handy in and out with entrance on the front and back of property which makes it handy for motorhomes, tow vehicles, multiple trucks in a moving party! We had a small storage unit at First Street for many years. Cleaned it out and the manager agreed to a small payment to terminate the storage agreement. Since then they have added fees, Overlocked the unit and despite our sending a number of emails they continue to ignore repeated requests to simply close the unit. It is all too common these days to have to deal with inept management First street storage is no exception. Since everything was removed it does not matter much, nonetheless avoid this place as there are others that know how to run a business. read more

Well here we go again. My unit leaked water into my unit, damaging some items of mine. Some of this stuff is rather expensive but rather than being mad about it, I simply asked what they could do for me to help resolve the issue. No one wants to make a decision and when it was offered to me to go on the roof and check for leaks, that wasn't done either. This is purely a management issue and it's sad to see such a nice place be ran on a platform that does not include customer first. I'm in dire need of a large storage unit and no where else around offers one as big as I need however, do not waste your time, money or property coming here. read more

Completely loved First Street Storgae when I rented a 10x20 unit from Mario, the manager, in 6/2012. I was very happy with this facility until they changed managers/owners. This is MY EXPERIENCE with the new owners/managers: My rental of a larger unit from them was confirmed by telephone and with a charge to my credit card 2 weeks prior to my move date. When we arrived on 2/8/15 with a FULLY PACKED MOVING VAN we were told THEY ALREADY RENTED MY SPACE OUT!!! Manager says "SORRY" and "I GUESS YOU HAVE TO GO SOMEWHERE ELSE" and gives me a great big SMILE. Neither the man or the woman would give me any further information or help. Neither would speak to me, my husband or the mover. When asked HOW TO COMPLAIN to the owners we were told there is NO WAY to COMPLAIN.... end of story, I thought...... Then all I had to do was advise my moving van guy that he wasn't going to be able to unload for a few hours as we had to locate another storage facility. I was charged an additional $250 for 2 hours of "waiting time" by my moving company. Just do your research folks. Check YELP, FaceBook etc. for ratings BEFORE deciding on your storage facility. read more

if i could give a -1 rating i would in a heartbeat! i started renting up to three units from these clowns since last October and the staff is not the friendliest people ! I have met with pearl before on several issues but she has a very short fuse so i did not push the issue with her much, she has a trained ignorant baboon that lives with her, that walks around the property acting like he owns the place, he approached a family member of mine who was moving items on my behalf and started to harass him about not keeping the sliding front door high enough, and gave him a warning! that same month when i went in to pay my bill i confronted this arrogant ignorant, little man and asked him why he was harassing one of my family members? he started babbling something about he would not keep the sliding door high enough and that he suspected that he was up to no good inside the unit! i asked him what he meant by that?? and he snapped back and started rambling about how he deals with tweakers all the time? and he was saying that my brother was acting suspicious? i told him i pay my bill every month on time and you want to single us out as one of those types of people that you deal with?? he snapped back and said i will cancel your account now if you want me too! i responded you do that with no proof of nothing and falsely accusing all of us of being something we are not! i will seek legal representation for discrimination! after that he mellowed out and spoke to me outside like a kitty-cat and said i like you guys but keep your front sliding door higher if not all the way up? and if someone is looking into your unit i will deal with them , side note he has corner cameras pointed directly into my unit! i have dealt with people like this before in my earlier collection practice years and the best advice i can give to anyone who is reading this, is don't deal with this storage facility they openly discriminate and now they want to increase my bill to $20 more on the first completed year? and because i did not give them 14 days to vacate notice fee. They want to charge me an additional $75.50 to prorate me to the 30th of this month! when i am paid up to the 20th ! and i was current at the time!! bad vibes people!! don't do it! , the on site mgr is called pearl , her goon sidekick is called Jonathan, they are a privately owned facility! i have moved out from the facility since my incident, on sept of 2019 i am going to file with the dept of consumer affairs regarding these matters,,,,,, read more

I wrote a review back on 7/12/16 due to a confrontation with the Managers husband when I was trying to come in and drop off my RV after 7:00pm that day and could not enter for the reason my pin number refused to work at that time. when I return the next morning to drop off my RV, I was approached by the Managers husband again and this time it was a little different. He apologized for the way he acted the evening before, I felt at the time that he was sincere and I accepted, and in my book, if someone sincerely apologizes for their actions then they are deep inside good people.
