The hot stone massage is a welcome addition to the pedicure. The staff is very caring and thorough. Highly recommend.

Found 1st Nails through Yelp, and have been going for over a year. An average nail shop by the looks, nothing fancy. I've gone to get pedicures, basic manicures w/basic paint and Shellac paint, and acrylics. Never had a bad experience, everyone is generally friendly and quick. Great pedicure massage chairs, the hot stone pedi''s and the nice shoulder massages are a great bonus included in the cost. It's close to my house and easy to pop in even without an appointment. I've even gone there to have my acrylics taken off after having them for 7-8 months, and they did the everything they could to make them look nice. Anyone who's taken off acrylics after a long time can agree nails just don't look nice and are super weak. Like any nail shop, skills can vary from tech to tech. Overall I've been lucky and have gotten good techs, especially the owner who does a great job with anything. read more

Called to see if they would be ready for me in 15 min. They said "yes" I've now been sitting here for almost 50 min and I'm still waiting..... read more

I absolutely LOVE this nail salon! I was in the mood to try something different and boy am I glad I did. This was a new salon in Healdsburg (they have one in Ukiah and Lakeport) so when I went in, there were only 2 people in there and they were both employees. I happened to have the owner give me a full set of acrylic nails and he did such an amazing job. He was so pleasant, and he talked to me and he was so in to getting my nails to look perfect. He wanted me to be happy with the end result. For that, I kept going back. He has not been there since, but his wife, Emily is who does my nails now and she's great. She's funny, nice, everyone in there is nice. I really enjoy going to a place where they all will talk to you and joke with you. I am really tired of the places you go and no one talks to you - I'm all up for the noise!!!! Check it out! read more

Their pedicures are amazing! They do a pedicure along with a hot stone foot and leg massage. It feels amazing after being on my feet all day at work. Besides the great pedicures, they also give you a neck and shoulder massage while your paint dries. They are always polite and respectful. They allow walk-ins, and always find a way to make time for me. Even though I live 15 minutes away from their location, and have plenty of other options, I always choose them because of their great service and good prices! read more

This place is so my jam. I finally found this place about 2 years ago after I moved to Northern CA and started working in Healdsburg. It's not fancy, but it really doesn't need to be. If you want the "spa experience" there's plenty of those at the hotels in the area. This spot is more of a locals place. It's perfectly located so you can grab something at Starbucks then relax while getting a spa pedicure. I believe I had Tina the other day and she was great. They have a decent selection of colors, including gel. I can't speak on the acrylics or gels bc I never get those. But the pedicures are divine. They really take their time and if you just want to sit in silence and Zone out, they let you. They do a hot rock oil massage at the end which is the best. I got a spa pedicure, plus callus remover and it came to $30. Not to mention, while your toes are drying, they give you a shoulder and neck massage for free. $30 for all that?? Worth every penny! Love this place, super convenient and my nails last forever. I've gotten my eyebrows done there too, and they looked great. read more

I love getting my pedicure here. They really give a good massage and massage your shoulders after which I love! I would recommend this nail salon to anyone. read more

First let me say I have been to this salon before and felt it was a bit hit and miss. However, I will never take my business there again after my recent experience. Rose, the owner of the business, appeared angry throughout my mani/pedi. She hardly uttered a word to me, stared off in various directions while working on my nails, and obviously did not know that she wasn't even buffing my nails as she brushed it across my upper fingers and toes. She put no energy into either massage portion, instead looking elsewhere as if I was doing her a favor. Although Rose asked how much I wanted taken off my fingernails and I responded only a little bit she followed her own pathway and cut them all the way down. At the end of this unpleasant experience a repeat customer and her son had words with Rose after being left unnoticed in a basin for an hour. Rose was very upset during this interaction and eventually returned to me at the basin. She did not put my sandals on and told me to get up in an angry voice. She then grabbed my arms, presumably to help me down, put repeatedly tugged me, causing me to lose my footing and landing hard on the floor before. While I am normally very tolerant when others are upset, I had to repeatedly tell Rose in a loud tone to stop pulling on me! While my best friend has frequented this business for many years and had great attention today, I will never return to this business. In fact, for the first time in my life I opted not to leave even a token tip. Very unsatisfactory experience and rude service. Buyer beware! read more

This place was beyond awful. I actually left mid manicure. When they say trust your instincts, trust your instincts. The clues: no current popular nail polish colors. What they did have were all less than 50% full and gloppy. Staff: completely indifferent. When the manicurist had to move to the third cuticle clipper because the first two weren't sharp, I should have been concerned. The filing? Unbelievable. I could have done a better job with sandpaper. And worst of all, she buffed my nails with what felt like sandpaper that my nails were literally THROBBING until the next day. The base coat: old and thick and went on in streaks. The color she applied for the first coat was just a mess. Uneven and riddled with cotton fuzz. Seriously, it was a complete disaster. I had her take the two coats of glop off my nails and got my money back. A total waste of time. How this place is in business is a miracle. read more

My favorite nail place. I get gel nails on my real nails, they last forever looking amazing even two weeks after I have had them done. I get compliments every week on my nails. The service is always great, the longest I have had to wait was ten minutes. The pedicures are amazing with the stone massage and shoulder/neck massage. The whole experience is great. I have and will continue to recommend First Nails to friends and family. read more

Horrible job! On both my gel nails and my toes! Sloppy! Didn't even soak my nails for part of my manicure! Guy that works there is very much a creep and weird. Wound not recommend. read more

I love living in Healdsburg, but if I didn't, I would travel just to have Emily and her awesome staff provide me with the best manicure/pedicure ever! The staff works very hard to make you feel special and never rushed. Emily does my nails and she is worth her tiny weight in gold. She is witty, professional and quick! She and her team are meticulous with their services...I would never go anywhere else! read more

Great experience. Nice long leg massage during the pedicure, and my pedicurist even came over to massage my neck while my toes were drying!

Great ladies. Emily the owner is hilarious and keeps us laughing. Atmosphere is clean and comfortable. They have worked hard to make continuous improvements to the shop. They have all big reclining, massage chairs. The gals make you feel like family and they treat you to extras with every pedicure - while drying you get a neck and shoulder massage. The hot rocks and sea salt treatments are heavenly. $50 for mani, pedi, hot rocks and salts. This last time when I was there they fed me a yummy lunch and green tea. I wouldn't go any where else. Once I went with a bridal party and they brought out Champagne and the bride was free. read more

I have been patronizing this salon for a pedi since last March on a regular basis. I wasn't blown away by their perfectionism but they did rub feet and legs AND neck while your toes are drying. However, today, I had Nancy, who did a great job UNTIL it came time for the neck massage. Another lady came in, said she wanted Nancy and she did not want to wait. Nancy quickly asked for my money and nicely said I could leave as she had someone waiting and would not be able to rub my neck. I cut her tip in half (I have always tipped these ladies 40%) and now wish I had not tipped her at all. They do not take appointments and yet she "had someone waiting". I will now find another place no matter how much they charge. They have lost a loyal customer and I would say a good tipper because of this "important" person "waiting" (really - she just walked in) read more

I absolutely love First Nails! I'm a bit of a snob when it comes to nail places, but this one checks all the boxes. No, it's not fancy like the spas, but it's very clean, friendly and accommodating. Emily is the owner and she is so sweet and has hired a wonderful staff. They are all well trained and I love the way my pink and white acrylic nails turn out and the pedicures are REMARKABLE! Whoever thought of adding hot stones to pedicures is a genius! I know that spas offer this, but I have rarely found a nails place offer this (and included in the price) They also massage your neck and shoulders while your nails dry. First Nails is really great, I plan on getting everyone I know to go here, though I hate to share this amazing spot! read more

I came in on my lunch to get a full set and picked out a pale pink and I sat there the woman did not pay much attention to detail. I asked for them to be short, they are long and then after she finished shaping my nail she went in with a dark purple gel even though I told her I did not want to pay the $45 for the gel. She did it anyways and I still had to pay the full amount and I did not have time to have her take it off. I will not be returning because they do not care what you want and do the bare minimum. My nail lady was nice and friendly but I ended up paying $50 to get my nails done in a way I didn't want. read more

I had an amazing spa pedi here some time back. I have the worst feet ever -- and they actually treated the 'problem'. My feet were smooth for 3 months -- best results ever! I will go out of my way to get another pedi here on my next trip to the area. read more

First nails is such a fun place to get your nails done and pedicures. All the women in the shop are so sweet and fun to be around. They are all very professional and do such wonderful jobs. The shop is very clean and comforting. I have been going here since they opened and have never had a bad experience. They do a wonderful job with all the services that they offer. I even had my bridal party get their nails done and pedicures prior to my wedding and they were very accomodating and made the experience for all us girls very fun and memorable. read more

I LOVE this place and recommend it highly to anybody who wants an AWESOME pedicure. I love the hot rocks and the leg massage. Everybody who works there is very nice and you even get a neck massage while your feet dry... The color stays and the manicures are great as well. An unbelievably great experience for me every single time! read more

A couple friends and i went out to get our nails done and we had a gift certificate to First Nail so we went there...big mistake! The man who did my toes was totally rude and at one point in time hit me on purpose with the file! The only treatment i got was filing, cutting and a little lotion on my legs. It was pretty much a color change, but i was charged for the whole thing. When he went to go get something from the back, he stopped and talked to a man in some other language and after that the man looked at me and laughed. When he put on my flip flop he ruined half of my toes and it took forever before he got back to me to paint them. My nails looked horrible after the second coat he put on one of my messed up toes, but decided not to paint the rest so they could match. One of my friends and i finished quickly(because they didn't do the full treatment) while my other friend was stuck in the chair waiting while other people that came in after us were getting their treatments done! All i can say is i had a HORRIBLE experience and will of sure never go back there and sure won't refer anyone to go there...the service is horrible and they should think about the way they treat customers! read more

I love First Nails. It's nothing fancy, so if you are expecting the "spa experience," this isn't the place for you. However, you will get a great pedicure that lasts a long time. The chairs are good, and I haven't had to wait. I get my fingernails done there, too, and the man has done them each time, so I can't speak to the abilities of anyone else. However, my manicures have always been done well, and if I ask for a design, I get exactly what I pictured. read more

Nice place. My mom and I go frequently for pedicures, so I can't vouch for manicures. They do a nice job and it keeps looking good for a long time. I usually get a design around the holidays, and they always look great. They are friendly and fast, and reasonably priced. They're also right next to starbucks, which is a nice bonus. read more

Go often to first nail for mani and pedi. They do a good job. The highlight; however, is the message from Rose, which is part of the pedi. I upgraded for 10 bucks for an additional 15 minutes. I never do this, but after the pedi message decided to pay for more time. Rose is awesome and I will be requesting her for all future pedi's. read more

I went there today (04/12/2017) for a pedicure. First they made my water boiling hot which scolded my foot when I put it into the tub. Next was even worse, 'Rose' was my nail technician and it was very obvious to me that she had NO idea what she was doing. Which makes me wonder if she even has a license. I'm going to say NO. So she starts on one foot nipping away at pieces of nail and cuticle, with the cuticle nippers without ever applying cuticle softener. She cut the corner of my big toe nail off and began to PULL a strip of nail back towards me cuticle. NO WHAT IS SUPPOSE TO HAPPEN! I pull away, and tell her that hurt. So she works on another toe she actually NIPS a chunk of my skin off which made me pull my foot away and say "we will not be continuing" she grabs at my foot as she is going to keep working on it. My toe is now bleeding. I jump up extremely upset and in pain...I grab my shoes and leave. I have NEVER walked out on a service before. I am now traumatized from ever getting a pedicure from anywhere. I have placed a call to state board to check for licenses. I want to save someone from ever experiencing that. It was bad. bad bad bad. read more
