NOPE NOT IMPRESSED!!!!! - WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER EXPERIENCED. MY Grand Entry Door is nice, but I'll never use you again 1. You all Left US Hanging and never responded to phone calls or emails. 2. I will never recommend you again. This is a lot of business for you. 3. Your CAD department was rude, and I have their names. We spent 17K on our Grand Door. They sold the sizzle, which is fine, but never reached out and took care of us afterward- FRONT DAY 1. 1. NO ACKNOWLEDGEMENT: Our sales guy acted like he didn't know who we were, YET he visited us the weekend before. He Said we went w/ the best company around, negatively talking about other companies. 2. INSTALLATION DAY - INCOMPLETE PRODUCT: Installers NEVER came to the house with a complete door- after 6 weeks of fabricating the door. 3. INSTALLATION DAY- It took 1.5 months to complete the door frame - they said 10 weeks, but they meant 10 weeks to install the door from the beginning to end.... Maybe a day's worth of worth after it was built. 4. PROBLEMS WITH HOA: They reamed us that this door wasn't completed in time = STRESS We live in a higher-end master-planned community- Las Sendas in Mesa, AND ALL WE ASKED is that they SET THE EXPECTATIONS AND COMMUNICATE TO US THE TIMELINE!!!! We moved into our home 3 years ago and the previous owner had installed First Impression doors, gates and fences. Without a doubt the best quality and most secure screen door on the market. Loved them so much we ordered 2 more doors. Would have given 5 stars if it weren't for the wrong measurements (incorrect lock height) on one of the doors and it had to be sent back. Still, First Impression stood by their work and corrected the mistake. Highly recommend! read more

I recently ordered an eye-catching Front Security Door. It is fabulous. I ordered it to enjoy the fresh air, while ensuring safety. I love the mesh is made of Iron, which enhances personal safety. The quality of the door is impressive. The value, is completely reasonable when considering the Quality and safety. I highly recommend First Impression Ironworks. In Fact, several years ago I had ordered two other doors from them. They make the process very smooth. I appreciate that they have the ability to take a photo of the doorway, and then add spec doors to the digital picture which assists in deciding which door to choose. read more

Too bad there isn't a negative star. BUYER BEWARE! My husband and I had a sales rep Shawn come to our home and give her sales pitch. We were interested in buying doors (double) to replace existing ones. She promised us the moon and the stars telling us that Ironworks would take the existing doors out, put the new doors in. On their second visit they would install molding.. EVERYTHING she said would be done and it would be perfect. We put a deposit down of $10, 700 and waited for the rendering from engineers. This took two weeks to get. They said additional measuring had to be done and sent their engineer out to measure and cut a hole in my drywall above existing doors. Shawn had said that it was 50 percent down which we paid. We finally received the rendering. My husband went to stop for gas and the credit was declined. He called the credit card company and was told that First Impression Ironworks had deducted another $10,000. The door was supposed to be paid for in full after it was in and the molding was on. It took 3-4 days to have them credit the credit card. When I asked how that mistake could happen, billing department said she didn't know. Now we look at the rendering they sent us and we noticed that in small print on the side of the rendering which we were to sign it said, "CUSTOMER ACKNOWLEDGES FII (First Impression Ironworks) is not responsible for stucco, drywall repair and/or touch up that may result from removal of existing product or the installation of new product with a signature line. Do they actually get away with this with customers? Do people sign off that the company that is installing the door won't accept any liability for the work that they perform? We called the sales person Shawn who said, "Oh, I didn't know they put that on there." I told her that I would not proceed ahead with the purchase of over a $20,000 if the company doesn't stand behind their workmanship. She called her corporate and they told her, "No, they have to sign it. We can't be responsible for drywall or stucco repair.". Shawn offered me $350 off the purchase price if I signed it. I told her I was not interested in that and if I was told that information when she came to do her sales pitch, we never would have did the purchase. I asked that we get a refund of the total amount charged. Her bosses told her that they would do that but $360.00 would be deducted from the $10,700. Don't waste your time & money with this company. They do not stand behind their workmanship and charge you money after trying to deceive you. Shawn was a great sales gal. Too bad she works for a shady company. read more

We were happy with our first two doors, however the 3rd door is unacceptable because they added a white corking around it which they did not do to our other doors. They said this is how they do it but if that were true our other two doors would have it! It looks terrible and we did not agree to a white corking and would have said no but he did it without asking. read more

We had such a great experience with Shaye back in 2021 at our old house so when we moved and needed a new door we reached out to Shaye directly. We placed our order on 2/8 and our beautiful new door was installed on 2/20. The installer was super friendly and efficient as well. We put off calling First Impression as we heard they were waaaay expensive. Finally got the courage to call and to our surprise, gave us a great price, especially compared to the Chinese-made doors from Home Depot (To be fair, we have a Home Depot door on our back door that we paid $550 for back in 2004. It has served us well but looks like a typical "jail-cell" door. We wanted more "style" for the front and got it!) Ther installer did a wonderful job and we love the door. The first two times I used first impression ironworks I would have given them a 4 to 5 star rating. However, this last time I used them, there were many issues. Mostly poor communication on the sales representative part but now I'm having issues with the customer service warranty dept. Now that the weather is getting cooler, I went to use the locks that were installed. One of them was not installed correctly and is not operating correctly. I was told this was not a warranty issue and they referred me to Kwikset. Very disappointing because whether Kwikset can help me or not, it's something I have to do and have no knowledge or skills to do so..it looks like they do not want repeat business or take for granted their loyal customers. I will definitely be using a different company in the future for my security doors. read more

I have NOT had a good experience with First Impression Ironworks. My wife and I put down a deposit on a security door on November 8th 2021. We wanted to get a not in stock color for our steel security door. After several trips to the showroom to get the correct color that would match our home I asked to get my deposit back in writing to the Sales Manager on December 17 2021. That afternoon my salesperson called me and told me that he understood, I expected the funds to get refunded to my credit card before Christmas. I find that the funds have still not been refunded, and went back into the showroom to get movement on Monday January 24 2021. The salesperson in the office wrote an email to the Sales manager, I immediately left a voice mail. I still have not had any response and it is now January 27 2022. This company has not been responsive at all. My neighbor ordered a security door on November 8th also. When the door arrived and was installed, the shop did not correctly fabricate the door and gave a partial refund. I work in construction creating on site CAD drawings and have worked with many custom fabricators throughout Arizona and across the entire United States. In my opinion there are Fabricators that can do custom work or do a large Volume of work. It is rare to get both, This company seems to do volume and not be able to pay attention to details or in my experience deliver service after the initial sale. read more

Had quite a large job done at our home by First Impression Ironworks and I can't say enough how professional everyone we worked with was. We had First Impressions fabricate and install a front security door, a front courtyard gate, and a decorative rail on the pony wall around our courtyard. Josephine S. was our salesperson. She is extremely knowledgeable about her company and their products, and what could and could not be accomplished on our project. Josephine was also quite helpful to us in the design of our project, as I knew the basics of what I wanted, but when it came to the actual design/color/height of the rail and gate, she had quite the eye and made awesome suggestions. The completed design is beautiful. Installation went off without a hitch and though I apologize for not remembering their names the installers were awesome, knowledgeable, hardworking and courteous. read more

I'm not one to leave negative reviews, but I strongly would not recommend this company. We ordered a security door from one of their Salesmen Jacob Toussaint, at our house. My husband and I had visited the showroom earlier in the year, and showed Jacob a picture of a door from their showroom, representing the color of door we wanted. Jacob told us the color was rustic iron. Trusting his word, we ordered the rustic iron door. However, when installed we quickly realized it was the incorrect color. They sent another gentleman from their company out to "investigate" the door. He immediately knew the picture of the door from the showroom was not "rustic iron", like Jacob said, but that it was "black pearl rub". Instead of fixing the color for us, they want to charge us several hundred dollars to have the door painted the color we wanted in the first place and also refuse to return the door because it is a "custom door". The customer service we have received throughout this whole process has been very poor. The director of customer care refuses to call us, despite several requests for her to do so. The accountant Richard Hoton, said she won't call because "we already know our options and just don't like the options". Richard played the middle man several times, and even expressed himself that it was "above his pay grade" to be handling this. Highly recommend you shop elsewhere for your security door needs. read more

First Impression's VIP service on my gate was excellent. I reached out to First Impression because of dings from workers moving equipment into my yard. The gate looked new again when they finished - plus they took care of the hinges and lock to make sure they were functioning properly. I highly recommend this service and plan to have them service my gate every other year going forward. (5-stars for their VIP service and customer service communication.) read more

The sales people are great and personable. The technicians have been friendly except one. Their gates are nice, but the latches are terrible. They don't match the quality of the gates. They easily bend. I've had to request service within a year of my purchase regarding the latches. One came off and the other now is bent because there were a few times people have accidentally handled the gate wrong like maybe the mailman or people delivering packages. Also, I've had one side of my gate serviced 3x because it keeps getting loose from where they installed it from. Another complaint, I had them install a gate and they placed the latch that's too high for me. They didn't ask me where I wanted it. So, now I'm tiptoeing and reaching every time I have to open my gate. I showed them how inconvenient it was for me and the installer didn't really give a damn. I'm just overall disappointed. I spent my hard earned money on supposed quality and this is what I have to deal with. read more

These folks did a great job with a front gate to a courtyard...replaced a very stock 20 year old builder gate. I live in a HOA governed community so the plans ended up going thru a few revisions before they were approved and First Impressions dealt with all that patiently! Previous customer spent thousands on the first door bought a security door this time was supposed to get a $300 previous customer only got 240 then I said to the installer that I wanted to use a different credit card for the last payment he said just call the store so I did four times and they still didn't return my call and then charge the card that I said not to unbelievable and I still haven't called back and the salesman I called him and left a text message with him and he hasn't called back their follow up sucks hope to God you don't have a problem with the door because you'll never hear from them read more

Compleatly wowed! This door totally enhanced the exterior of the home. We have a courtyard and we feel so much safer now that we have it enclosed. It's so sturdy and massive. Here is an update to my review. First off, I appreciate the response from the company. As you can read, First Impression's remains adamant regarding their stance on my issue/concern/review. ***Consumers reading this review*** look at my picture and draft of the design- ie. - CAD drawing. Any reasonable person will believe that the main scroll size marked and indicated as 1/2" would believe that would be the size they are to be receiving. Nowhere does the 1/2" indicate "thickness" or depth of the material only. As a matter of fact, nowhere does it indicate 3/4" wide scrolls as the main/consistent width for the majority of the finished piece (yes, scrolls do taper off at the end, so fully understand that part of the companies response). What is not previously stated and part of the order is that the design was supposed to match a scroll design on an adorning door which has a 1/2" scroll, which was understood by the salesperson and reflected in the order. Never the less, I as a consumer wanted 1/2" scrolls, which I signed off on as to the CAD design, and received a 3/4" final product. Bottom line, this consumer did not receive what they wanted from First Impression and as those reading this review should know, this company remains unwilling to correct this issue unless it is on their terms. read more
