This place has the best price for smog check in all of LA/OC area. I called multiples places and this was the cheapest by at least $5 from the other smog checks in the area. I called ahead and George quoted me $40 out the door for my car (suv) and that is exactly what I paid. Service was quick but was charged an additional $17 for "Groupon Processing Doc Fee" and smog certificate. I already paid $28 for the Groupon. Total was $45, the same price he quoted me before I told him I had a Groupon. This is a deceptive practice and should not be rewarded. BEST smog station I've ever been to. I 10000% HATE bringing my cars for a smog check. I finally got fed up with the place I had been going to for years and saw the great reviews of this place. I was a little skeptical but I brought in my two cars anyways. Needless to say, the 5 star reviews are legit. George was polite, honest, professional and quick. I came around 8:30 a.m. on Saturday and he had just finished up w/someone. He was able to check both of my cars in 30 minutes. He even gave me a discount since this was my first visit here. Unfortunately, one car did not pass so he told me what I needed to do and asked me to bring it back. I came back on a Monday around 4:30 p.m., no wait at all. So I have been a customer for many years until a situation happened during my last visit. During my visit he did not provide me with any estimate but I did give him the 26 dollar coupon. When the car failed due to a minor technical issue fix by reset from another smog person at a later date, what happened is that he charge me the regular price plus smog certificate cost and provided me with no documents on the failure of the test or paid invoice. I understand he only checks but if i am paying you I expected a paid invoice and am at failure documentation. By the way to avoid this issue you can buy obd2 reader with IM button which will tell you if the car will pass. Must are 20 bucks on eBay or Amazon like autel or foxicon brands. In fact theses smog test stations can so a ten second test without doing the full smog test to make sure the car us ready. The other guy I took it to did exactly that before he did a smog test. So I like to see a response of why you provide no paperwork and charge higher for a failed versus pass test. I did request for paperwork and was denied. I am not blaming you for the failure but when I had a failed test I got a full description so I could have it checked at a repair station that can handle reset computer and retest issues. Bummer. Plenty of other smog places that will do that for you so you do not waste your time on a full smog test. read more

Oh my fast and friendly service. Do not be put off by the small auto mechanic facade. George is fast and efficient. For newer vehicles 2000, he uses a remote device so no pulling on to wheel accelerator. No inside waiting but social distance chairs in shade are available. I called to check on walk in or need and appt, he does both. The price is good too, I had used a Groupon for the smog check portion, certificate and DMV was extra 20$. Ex a vehicle wasn't passing smog because it needed a drive cycle. He explained the process and check it out once it was completed.
