Called to make sure they could do a smog test for my dmv paperwork (make sure it gets done by the owner, no one told me) and I'm glad it no only passed, but he was super quick. Just cuz he does a good turn around on mine, it could be different for everyone so don't come down on him if your check takes a while- he's doing the best he can! Paid for a failed smog test. Came in with my older car not knowing that check engine light was going to be an automatic fail smog test. The owner knew it was going to fail and still ran the test then told me to pay $30+ for the labor. Then to come back after I take it to the car shop. I got the light fixed but still failed so he told me to come back again. But I still have to pay another $12 to get a certificate? Then wtf did I pay for in the beginning? Failed smog test. What a rip off. Moral of the story: don't go here. why did you run the smog test if you knew it was going to fail and then make me pay for it?! I went to this place THREE times and didn't work out. I took my daughter's 2001 Ford Taurus since it needed a SMOG certification from a STAR station. I showed up with no appointment but was seen right away. The gentleman who helped me was very nice, respectful and quick. The test and certificate were very affordable and the whole process must have taken no more than 15 minutes. Getting you registration in the mail and seeing that Smog is required is never a fun situation to be in. I hate the fact that I need to pay for something as simple as this as I truly feel its a waste of my hard earned money. With that said I am happy that folks working at Super Smog make this procedure as painless and quick as possible. I originally attempted to come here on a Saturday afternoon which turned out to be a HUGE mistake as there was easily 30 cars in line and out the drive way waiting. In talking with one of the technicians he said they do more cars in a 6 hour Saturday then during an entire 9 hour shift any other day (Monday-Friday). As the place was closed Sunday's I decided I would swing by during the week after work and take my chances. Score! I pulled in and one of the two service docks was open. I quickly was told to pull in and they took it from there. After handing your required paperwork to the technician (who quickly scans it into the system) the entire process takes 10 minutes tops. The tech made small talk and really put you at ease. As the work was being performed I hung out in their small outside seating area and looked through a couple of magazines provided inside. The service was friendly, quick and they even offer discounts ($10 off) for returning customers. I happened to have a coupon out of the Pennysaver for $20 off which was a better deal overall but it's good to know if no coupon is available that I can still get $10 off the service. At the end of the day I walked out with a passed test and it cost me $38 after the coupon (29.75 + 8.25 certificate fee). If you are due for a Smog check and live in the surrounding area, you will be hard pressed to find a better place than this to get the job done. Keep up the good work and I will definitely return in two years the next time my smog is required. read more

Nobody likes a Smog Test Everyone hates a Smog Test Guess Ill go eat worms. So, ya I needed a Smog. But my make and model is known for failing. So I was a little late this year. It was due in May, and its August. Due to my check engine light, I was unable to test it because it would automatically fail the visual inspection. Luckily, for me with some rubbing on my magic lamp the light was off this week. Fingers crossed, I told him about my ongoing problem and how my friend and his neighbor mechanic accross the street fixed it, and checked the codes, so he ran a pre test. I passed. YAy!! I even did a little happy dance when I got home. Located between Cerritos and Ball on Beach Blvd sits this drive in only Test Center. At 4:15 on a Friday afternoon there was zero line. Maybe since it was sooooooo hot out. I was in and out in 20 minutes, and was able to enter Beach Blvd and be back on my way home to celebrate. I have been here every year for over 10 years. My old Nissan used to visit, The beasts old Ford used to visit. Both cars always passed. Now that those cars are in the car cemetary we bring our Mazdas here. We switch every year. So next year he will be back. Service has always been friendly. Coupons available in the West Anaheim Penny Saver, or as a returning customer, or if you go to the mechanic across the street, you can save. I usually don't write review but for Super Smog, I'll make an exception. I went there and I had 3 cars ahead of me (only one test station was used for testing) and it took 20 min to be on the road. People over there are extremely nice. They are the cheapest in the area. I was quoted $40 but when i got there, it ended up being $38 out-of-the-door because i used my debit card. I bring all 5 of our cars/trucks here. The guys are very efficient and with two lanes, the wait is rarely long. I'm here on a Saturday and was in/out in less than 20 minutes. I did find out the rules have changed so make sure you haven't recently had your computer reset or codes cleared or the 'computer' won't pass and you'll have to wait 3 days to retest (free though). Check engine lights will fail you too. Apparently there are 'soft' codes that will cause you to fail too but won't cause a check engine light. read more

Walked inside the office area the tech/mechanic was playing in his cell phone and receptionist was playing on computer.
