So Ive been coming here for years. I only did dealership services until my clutch went out. That was pricey and I wasnt working, so I needed a financial break. My SIL had recommended them. After the recommendation, I was stupid and went with another mechanic another person recommended (because he was a few hundred cheaper) and regretted it...(other mechanic lied about price and timing...) From that point on, this is the only place I take my car. My husband wants me to find a new place closer to us (we are in LB but that wont happen. They have a life-long customer...until they turn me away.) lol Please also note: I had also taken my car to the dealership for the timing belt and then the new one broke (well before it should have). Cypress Auto could have told me I needed a new engine but it was salvageable. Its a Honda, he didnt recommend a rebuilt, etc. Also took it for new brakes. Only did the necessary ones (front) when they could have replaced all and I wouldn't have known any better. The owner is one of the most honest Ive met. So many times he could have taken me for more than I needed. He really only does what is necessary. My car is my "beat up baby" and i love her. Almost 20 years and shes going strong because of him. Had a recent issue, was something with the clutch not reaching to start her (Im not a mechanic I don't know the details.) Anywho, she was dropped off by the tow company around 1 (that was a whole other debacle). He called within a few hours of receipt. once I gave the okay, done in less than an hour once part was found. Reasonable price. Cant praise them enough. Life savers many times. Just good all around. read more

If I could give this place negative stars I would. I took my car here to get a simple oil leak fixed. Once I drove off his property, my car stalled and I was almost t-boned by oncoming traffic. I returned the car to him and told him what happened. He said he would look at the car and try and fix it and that it would take a few days. Long story short my car never ran the same and was ruined after taking it to him. He even told me to take it to Honda and he would reimburse me for the expenses if Honda could prove that his work was faulty- they proved his work was incorrect, and of course...you guessed it, he didn't keep his word to reimburse me. One of his mechanics tried to argue with me about the work that was done. Very shiesty, amateur, and unprofessional- the whole business is. If I could warn anyone and help them out, here is my warning- PLEASE DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE! Spend the extra money and get it done by a mechanic who knows what he is doing. Not even sure how he is even still in business. Every time I drive by the shop, it's the same little dusty cars just sitting there and few cars being worked on in the garage. read more

Had an oil change done here not too long ago and I was told they would check all the fluids and top them off. A few days later my wiper fluid light came on which tells me the fluids were not checked, makes me leery of the entire service provided. Also, didn't put a sticker with the mileage on my window like most places do. read more

Satisfaction is the word when i let CYPRESS AUTO/NAMAT to fixed my 2002 BMW-X5 the front brake rotors and ceramic brake pads. Finally i am driving now without vibration on my steering wheel. ..after all Namat installed the german made rotors with a reasonable price of 298 dollars all inclusive LABOR, PARTS, SALES TAX...and most of all he showed me the damaged rotors, pads, sensors. .surely I'll be back to fix some other issues with my BMW-X5 soon to NAMAT.. read more

I had brakes done by them, the owner requested harder material pads. Within the first week, after driving to work and back my brakes started to make noise. I took it back, the owner said it was because of the pads(he recommended) they were too hard for the rotors so he suggested doing the labor for free and charge me for the material only. I told him i would think about it. After shopping for "new" rotors on my own I found out they do not cost the price they were charging me. Been coming here for the last 2 yrs now and it's about time I give them props. They do everything from smog to all other repairs except for tires (alignment etc.). Namet is a pretty straight up honest dude and has that "don't fix what isn't broken" mentality, which we all know is hard to come by these days when dealing with auto repair shop. I've taken my car in for work at times & he'll tell me I don't need it yet, he will not repair something that doesn't need to be fixed. Quick story. My brake light kept coming on and I thought I needed a brake job. Turns out that wasn't the problem. Not only did they not charge me, but they also showed me my brakes while the car was up on the blocks and replenished my brake fluid. They dug a little bit further about another code that was coming up on my dashboard and found out that it had to do with alignment. They referred me to a shop that does alignments. Simply put, these guys are the most honest mechanics I've ever dealt with. I will continue to refer them to all of my friends.
