I used to come here for years, but ever since the new owner took over, everything went downhill. I went in for a simple oil change and coolant service -- something they acted like was no big deal -- and my perfectly fine car ended up breaking down right after. I had to go to the dealer and pay another $400 to fix what they messed up. When I told them the warning light came on, they just said, "Go to the dealer, we don't know." Really? If you "don't know," why are you even running a body shop? They're not cheaper than other places, and the quality is awful. In the end, I wasted about $500 because of their careless work. If you like spending extra money and getting attitude on top of it, this is your place. Otherwise, stay far away. read more

These guys are very honest and reasonably priced. Two things I look for when going to get service on my cars done. I called around to maybe 6 or 7 places in the area and the prices were sky high for an oil change. When I called King's it was reasonably priced, not much of a wait and the person who picked up the phone explained to me the benefits of the different types of oil changes they offered and how long each would last. My moms oil light came on so I looked up a good place for an an oil charge and found Kings. They got us in fast checked all the tires and breaks and they showed me the break pads where low and the rotors where also gettimg bad. I recently stopped into Kings auto at moody and Lincoln, after work. on my way home, and I had them replace my transmission filter and fluid a couple months prior. My truck was leaking from somewhere so I had them check it out. We didn't agree on any price for diagnostics. I never signed any paperwork but I told him to go ahead and see if he could find the leak . The guy narrowed it down to a leak coming out of the radiator reservoir leading into the firewall of the truck. He told me it'd be $630 approximately for the repair when I got closer to the truck and looked at it myself. He suggested not try to try fixing it myself he said it was a very difficult job, he said he'd have to go underneath and replace all the hoses in that area. Although I haven't worked on a lot of cars I work in the manufacturing industry as a mechanic. I could tell by looking at it it wasn't as difficult as he had made it out to be. Somehow he talked me out of giving him $20 for pinpointing the leak I took the truck over to a trusted mechanic in Bellflower at DA auto. He found the hose for $45 and did the Work charge me a total of 160. read more

This is an honest, family owned business. My husband and I come here often to get our regular oil changes done and to have occasional repairs. Costs are very affordable and service is done fairly quickly. Oil changes are A LOT cheaper than the jiffy lube next door and take 15-30minutes to do. We never had problems with King's Auto Center. A few times when the owner knew he couldn't fix something because it was outside of his knowledge, he was kind enough to refer us to nearby places that knew how to fix those problems! read more

K owned auto shop.. Pretty cool people. They seem most familiar w/ Honda / Acura cars & the owner seem flexible enough for haggling. The mechanic dude is knowledgeable enough to identify most of the noise, liquid and any bad behavior your car makes.. I can bring my lifted-truck here for them to have a look for almost nothing in cost.. Again, they key word here is you can haggle.. Cash speaks loud. haha You can do you oil change next door at Jiffy Lube but this guys can usually do it for less.. Like $20 while you wait.. Jiffy lube will charge about $35 on weekend. I come to this place for anything I can not fix or want their opinion on best approach to fix it.. read more

Watch Out! This shop overcharges all services because their skill is very low and often unqualified, causing more unnecessary repair jobs and parts replacement done. For example, they charge a $200 part and labor for simple wire connection issue which does not cost at all. Always seeking for excuse to rip off customer money. DO NOT RECOMMEND! read more

They have been servicing my girlfriend's family's cars reliably for years... I took my sedan in for an oil change, then they informed me I needed a radiator replacement ASAP due to a big crack on the top... trust me, I never would have taken the time to notice that myself. Yikes!!! Glad I came here; the King took great care with me and my vehicle. He also happily checked my tire pressure for free when I stopped by randomly on the way back from work one day. The radiator in my wife's Rav4 decided to crack and burst on a Saturday; since we had just had the radiator flushed by JiffyLube two weeks prior, we had it towed there to have them look it over. After finding out that it was beyond JiffyLube scope (and not their fault whatsoever), they called us to say that King's Auto right behind them could do it and asked if we wanted them to call us. We agreed and Kings called us back within 5 mins and asked if we wanted to replace the radiator, as their source was closing in 5 mins (2pm), we said yes, and they said it would be ready by 4:30 that same day. They called at 4:05 to let us know it was done! Kings will definitely be our #1 mechanic from here on. read more

This place has integrity. I've had repairs done several times and have always felt that the work was done well, plus they don't keep your car longer than needed. I've always picked my car up the same day that it was brought in. They put in a new alternator last year, and it failed just 6 days after the 12-month warranty ended. The owner replaced it and didn't charge me for parts nor for labor. He honored the warranty even though he didn't have to. True integrity. read more

This place is a joke. They do oil changes real nicely but when my transmission needed a repair, they informed me that I needed a brand new transmission replaced into my car. They have been very friendly and swore that they can do it with a reasonable price. Paid 2.5k to supposedly get a brand new transmission. A year and a half later my transmission broke down again, and unfortunately I have moved to a different state (which they knew about since my car was registered out of state anyways). I take it to a shop and they took out the transmission and showed me what was wrong and asked if someone else has previously worked in the transmission. I told them these guys (King auto repair) has "replaced" the transmission to a brand new one. They responded saying "no no, they just repaired this existing transmission very poorly which if they have done a fine job, your transmission would be running nice and strong, they merely rebuilt it half assedly." so what is that? If you are getting a oil change than I wouldn't be too concerned, but this place is a nut job. go at your own risk. read more
