Hi. I'm not a long nail or gel nails kind of gal. I just get basic mani-pedi treatments. Nina is my favorite. I make an appointment and arrive on time and she's usually ready to go. Some other salons in my area don't seem to understand what an appointment is and I've waited upon my arrival. It isn't that hard to honor my appointment. Nina does a great job. It is a small salon tucked in to a strip mall on the very north end of Westchester which is convenient for me. There are so many salons but this one is working out well for me. I walked in on 10/27 asked for a dip manicure but was given a set of regular acrylics. No big deal except 7 days later, an acrylic popped off and three others began to lift from the nail. I went back to have them fixed. They were reinforced for no charge and the dip technique was applied to the one nail missing. Four days after "the fix" two other acrylics popped off.. one revealing a new brown streak to a previously healthy nail. After three attempts (from Sunday-Wednesday) to have them fixed again, tonight I was able to have someone look at them but was told I'd be expected to pay for the full dip manicure. Decided against it and asked for the acrylic to be completely removed. Again, new brown/green spot to another nail - shown in photo below. Sweet people. Poorly kept products. Difficult to communicate. read more

Sat and waited for about 20 minutes. Then asked the woman who was doing my pedicure to remove my acrylic nail on my toe nail because it was cracked. She proceeds to rip both the acrylic and my actual toe nail off until it starts to bleed. She then glued it together I was done with the whole pedicure and didn't want color or anything since she ripped my nail off proceeded to say sorry and charged $20. Horrific experience. read more

The older guy with glasses was so rushed, all French edges came out messy. Acrylic was still on my skin and not filed away. I wish I didn't spend my money here. My nails feel so fragile, like they'll break over any little tap. I wanted to be nice but I'm really bothered by my experience, it ruined my afternoon. read more

Pedicure was fine, manicure not so -- no quick dry top coat so it took almost 40 minutes before my nails were dry. Also, an employee named Daniel became testy when I asked him not to call me sweetie, honey, or baby. He was particularly condescending. Conversation went kinda like this: Me (calmly): Hey, my name is Janet. Please don't call me sweetie, honey, or baby. Daniel (trying to be cute?): Okay, baby Me (calmly again): No, really, I prefer you just call me Janet and nothing else. Daniel: Okay, okay, calm down. Me (slightly annoyed): I am calm; you seem to be upset that I asked you to call me Janet and nothing else. Daniel: Okay honey ... it's okay. I could go on, but I think you get the picture. I'm so disappointed in my latest experiences here. I've been a regular customer for years. Daniel is amazing on hands and feet. Lisa is great on hands and feet. But neither of them do acrylic work. So I went to get my natural nails coated. I was very unhappy with the quality of the finished product. I had chips days later and had to go in to get nails fixed. So the next time I went in for a fill, I asked Natalie to do them because she's supposed to be the best. It can out worse than the first time. She left polish on my skin and when I asked her to get it off, she tried to clip it off with the cuticle remover!! Then she tried to file it off.. then told me just wash your hands a few times and it will come off I was so disappointed in my nails and that was and will be my last time going to that shop read more

Came in for my usual pedicure but unfortunately as I was coming in my fave nail tech was on the way out the door. Not wanting to leave, I accepted trying someone else. The young lady was very friendly and was trying her best. Once it came to the point of actually getting my French tip done the lines she made I wasn't too happy with. I explained this and they had an older woman come over to help out. The main issue I have with my experience today is the older woman giving me a hard time for what I was trying to explain. I even showed her a picture which she first ignored and then I showed her again and she was clearly upset as she ended up making the change for me. Once she completed the pedicure she told me I asked for something else. I responded to her and told her that was incorrect and that was the reason why I showed her the picture because there was an issue with us communicating. She brushed me off got up and started talking loudly w/ a tone of frustration with her coworkers. I waited, got finished up with the last clear coat by the woman who helped me originally, paid & left it at that. This was clearly my fault for not sticking with the nail tech I always use but the fact that she told me I was wrong when in reality I made myself very clear with visual examples is just very disappointing. If it wasn't for my original nail tech I would never step foot in here again. The energy she gave me for explaining exactly what I wanted was unacceptable. I know this review won't change anything but I hope it's a "Beware" for others thinking to enter this establishment . read more

I went in to get ONE NAIL fixed. It took 3 people to work on one nail and took over an hour to complete this. The First Lady that sat me down said $10 and began filing my nail. Then she stops for lunch and I get passed to another lady. She rushes my nails making it a totally different shape from the rest of my nails. I've been getting my nails down for a while and I know that everything can't be identical but at least let it be close enough. Then I'm told to pick another color from the original color cause they don't have the color so she did the closet color they had and when I said it was too orange I was dismissed. I guess the second lady working on me had an appointment because she starts rushing filing my nails. (It's still jagged on the sides)Then she she passes me to another lady just to paint my nails because of her appointment. Cool no problem, but once finished the third lady charges me $25 for the one nail. I'm like wait why? She said $10 to fix and $15 for the gel color. Im like I could of gotten a fill if that was the case that's crazy. I just got my nails done a week ago. She was like that's the price and I'm like no it's not cause that's what she said. When I asked to talk to the First Lady she said she was busy and she would only charge $20 like the $5 was even better. I feel completely ripped off. Will never return to this shop again! I don't recommend this nail shop. I came in for a simple manicure with gel polish. I waited about 10 minutes, ok since I didn't have an appointment. The technician began my mani, but about 10 minutes in, she was interrupted for what I thought was going to be just a moment or two, only to look around and she was waxing someone's brows. Took her 20 minutes to complete the waxing, meanwhile my left hand was in now cold water... the finished product looked passable at best when I left, but the next day I noticed chips and the polish was actually lifting up at the nail bed. The workmanship is sloppy and the products are poor quality. read more

The pedicure was ok. Filed nails down extremely short, seemed to be having challenges with shaping . Gel manicure was sloppy. Cuticles still raggedy, polish lumpy, and on skin. :( read more

Never in my life have I had to file my own nails. The woman the did my actual manicure was super sweet, however when she was shaping my nails she kept making them a weird u shape. My nails grow square naturally so I'm not sure what she was over filing for? My nails ended up being extremely short because of the need to correct her mistake(which would not have been an issue). But she was upset with me telling her it was wrong and told me to do it. The woman that did my toes was pretty good, but finished and left before I got her name. The person who actually painted my nails(yes 3 different people) did a great job. I normally I go to a shop in South Bay but have been trying to stay more local. I won't be back:/ read more

The service received at this location was at best rudimentary. The guy doing nails was very impolite the first time I went in (3 weeks ago). I got a full set and a pedicure. When I pointed out how lumpy the polish job was, he copped an attitude. I made him remove the polish only to discover that in addition to the lumpy polish, he hadn't buffed the acrylic coating properly. I swallowed my anger because he's human and makes mistakes also I went in late in the day (6pm) so I brushed it off as him possibly having had a long day. I know, no excuse when someone is paying for personal services but I try to be fair, so... I go back today for a fill and pedicure. I get the same guy, he was not the friendliest person, so OK, I realize that it is definitely him. Now, on my first visit, I was charged $40 but when he rang up my bill, he charged me $41, I thought perhaps I heard him wrong the first time and I let it go. Today I was told that the fee was $35 yet he charged me $36. I asked what was the extra dollar for and was told that it was the fee for using a Credit Card. There is a sign posted that states "$20.00 minimum for credit Card Charges"... therefore, my understanding tells me that the fee is waived as long as my Charges are $20 dollars and upward. When I pointed this out, I was told to either pay the $1 fee or get cash from their ATM (which was just installed inside their store) and I could pay the $2 fee for that service instead! Hmmm, rude, and illegal. OK, I peeped that you didn't use new utensils and you're over charging and illegally charging as well. Fine, State Board was notified and you lost a potentially great client (that is if you'd provided clean and proper financial practices). I am taking my business elsewhere and would suggest you do the same if you were considering this spot. This is NOT the spot. To be on the safe side, I'm going to go soak my hands and feet in Rubbing Alcohol. read more

Had been a customer for about a year and loved Maggie. She was terrific but when called for my last appointment I was told she was gone. So, they recommended Diane. When I went for a manicure/pedicure combination that should have cost $25, I was charged $37, which I found shocking. What was worse was that the polish on my nails began chipping off after 3 days. I was on vacation without polish remover so had to live with very ugly nails until I returned home. Perhaps someone else might do a better job, but I can not recommend Diane. read more

I came here to get my nails done for my birthday showing the nail tech the design I wanted prior to even getting started on applying the gel and was told it can get done. So I proceeded to getting a black gel polish only because I was told the picture that I showed him could be done. Once finished applying the black he asked me to chose which glitter I wanted for the design, I picked and he couldn't do it as it was shown on the picture because he said it wasn't the right type of glitter. So I at least needed a design, because who wants a plain black polish to wear for their birthday, only to be told that they don't do design only flowers and basic things and if I wanted a design I would have to go to another nail shop. Wtf?! I'm high pissed and will never return or recommend anyone to come! I didn't even finish to get my pedicure like I planned to originally do. Such an inconvenience!!!! read more

Went to get a full set of acrylics done with a friend on NYE and the front woman who was a little older said that she was the only one there who could do acrylics, so she started mine first, and normally when I get a full set done they still give you a manicure/ cut your nails and cuticles well she did neither. She removed my old regular polish and got to town gluing on the tips. She did not trim down my nails or clean them whatsoever. After gluing the tips on and applying the powder and shaping out my nails she ended up cutting me pretty bad on my thumb. I asked her to apply some antiseptic which she did. After they were completed they looked terrible. They were extremely thick, she had gone over my cuticles in some spots, she did not file down under my nail so I had excess of the gel under my nails, it was over all terrible. I then was brought to another lady who would paint them. She did an okay job but there was no saving the size/shape of the acrylics themselves. So I asked if someone could file them down under so the tips weren't so thick, and they were not understanding me They would take a nail file and just file it flat under not using the tool to shape it in a circle motion (girls will understand this if they've ever had acrylics sometimes excess builds up under the tip). Finally she agreed to buff out the nails more so they weren't so bumpy and thick on the tops of my nails. It was better but still was pretty terrible looking. overall just a terrible experience. The worst part is after she cut me, I don't believe she changed out the tools or cleaned them between me and my friend.... read more
