Let me start by saying that every single thing we've ordered has been absolutely delicious. The cauliflower, in particular, is probably one of the best things I've ever eaten (ordered it 3x now.) The burger, Brussels sprouts, rustic potatoes, Korean bowl...all phenomenal flavor and so different than anything else is turlock. Now. The bar service is absolutely lacking. We tend to sit at the bar and have been disappointed every single time by the bartender. The craft drinks taste delicious but damn, the service. We have had to flag him down for our first, second, and third rounds AND to place our food order. Then, before we are even halfway done with our entree, the other bartender brings us our check lol like....what?? Didn't ask if we want another round or dessert, just like "ok here ya go, leave now." . They are lucky the food is good because we will keep coming back but man! Edit to add: the foh manager (that's just my guess as to her role) apologized and gave us a round on the house. She's very sweet and we truly appreciated it! Decided to try this restaurant for a much needed date night. The menu is great & unique to the area! Unfortunately the food wasn't that great and definitely lacking for the price we paid. We ordered: Tandoori Short Ribs - lacking in flavor! Very disappointed in this selection. Brussel Sprouts - actually very good and unique flavor! Tempura - very bleh and won't order again. Heard about this new place and thought it'd be the perfect place to surprise my girlfriend for her birthday dinner. We had a group of 10 and our waitress Jillian was extremely welcoming, attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. She gave some amazing recommendations which included the cauliflower, dumplings, Tokyo fried chicken and Bombay chicken clay pot. I was only able to snap a pic of the cauliflower before we devoured everything else. The service was excellent, the food was delicious which came out surprisingly quick, and the restaurant was modern and fitting for the DT Turlock environment. 5/5 and will definitely be back. read more

We had a great time. We had our real estate team party here and the mangagment took great care of us as well as our service! The food was great. The whole table loved the Tokyo Chicken and the ahi nachos. The Thai curry was a hit as was the ramen and shaking beef. So disappointed. Last time we came for brunch we were blown away. We have also has excellent food and service in the past at dinner. Today's brunch was just ok. There were plenty of servers milling around but we waited a long time for service. Never brought my coffee (didn't charge for it either though). Ricotta pancakes were just ok. Syrup and butter came in little waxed paper cups I would expect at Denny's. I know staff and materials are hard to come by. First time ever coming, no one was in the front of restaurant to be seated took about 5mins for someone to come. First off it wasn't busy at all for that to happen. Got seated order our food our sever never really check in with us so with that being said we couldn't really ask for more things. The food was okay and the drinks are okay. I have came here twice, both times have been okay. First time we came food was delicious but our waiter kept ignoring us. He would help all the other tables and look at us and walk away. We had to wait close to 20 min just to get silverware to actually eat our food. Regardless we came a second time to just have a few drinks. These drinks are honestly just ice. Horrible service, servers kept staring at us and making the atmosphere super uncomfortable, only got checked on 3 times the whole night. Appetizers came before drinks . The food was good don't get me wrong but I didn't even want to eat because of the servers nasty looks. Servers stood by the host station talking. I gave back a drink and they suggested ways to compensate, which was nice but then all the servers had gone to see what was happening and it made things 10x worse because the stares just kept going towards our table and our table alone. Mind you these others servers weren't helping our table. I spent good money and I'm not saying that Mexicans or people of other races besides white would feel completely uncomfortable but from our awful experience if you're not white , don't expect to be treated nicely. read more

The first time I had arrived here was 6 months ago and my goodness , the ambiance ! It was so nice . Cleanliness is extremely important when going to a restaurant and this place is spotless . They're between a 3 star and 4 star rating for me. Went four star and I'll explain why. We started off with the Shanghai dumplings for a starter and were very disappointed. Shanghai is famous for their Xiaolongbao or soup dumplings so I expected these to be soup dumplings and even checked with the waiter who said they were. They came out and were room temperature with no soup or even a bit of moisture inside. We weren't expecting much from the dinner after this, however happy to report they do Japanese fusion much better than Chinese fusion. My ramen truly resembled a flavor pallet you would find on the streets of Tokyo. The egg and pork inside were just as flavorful as well. My husbands ahi tuna poke bowl was equally as delicious. So from my standpoint, go for the Japanese fusion meals and enjoy the flavors of Japan! read more

Nice little pub and they have definitely improved a little since I last visited. Got the burger and fries and got exactly what I expected. Fresh burger, crisp fries and good service. After entering the front door I was greeted with a very warm welcome from the girl working the hostess station. Ended up sitting at the bar, since I was solo. Ordered a cold craft beer. It was delicious. Then ordered a beet burger. It arrived in reasonable time. The beet burger was ok it fell apart as I tried to eat it. The burger came with fries. They were cooked well and came with a tiny thimble sized cup of catchup. Trying to get more catchup was almost impossible. Then the 2 bartenders seemed to have forgotten that I was there. Dog friendly, which I love, as we did take my 2 dobes. The owner Jennifer came out and met the dogs, talked to us a bit, and she visited the other tables also. Hostess brought water for our dogs. We ordered the Japanese fried chicken 10/10 would recommended it was crispy and flavorful. I ordered the ramen everything was great but the broth was slightly bland. So I go to get my food and when I get there they tell me another dish I ordered was not available. They offered me the vegetarian version, for free. Of course by the time that was done and I got home the food was cold, leaving my fries practically inedible. It does also seem like the portions got smaller, which they were already small to begin with. The food that I did get was decent. Since opening, I've tried almost every item on the menu. Many of their dishes are really good. My favorites are the cauliflower, Korean stone bowl, ahi nachos, and the shaking beef. However, for the price, some of these dishes should come with a bit more carb. The salmon is always cooked perfectly, and I like the broccolini, but I always need to order another dish to get full when I order it. I was really excited when they added sushi to the menu, and while the ahi nachos are a generous portion, the sushi could be improved. My most recent roll had too much rice and not enough fish for the price. Usually the service is a little slow and we end up waiting too long for our order to be taken or our drinks to come, but when we went yesterday (Saturday lunch) there was literally only one waitress working and we ended up waiting a really long time for everything and having to flag her down for refills and our check.
