Max and cheese could taste cheesier, ours tasted a bit water down. My partner got the three meat platter: ribs, pulled pork, chicken, with corn bread and onion rings as sides. Their ribs were delish! Very Smokey and the bbq sauce is sweet. The staff were very nice and energetic and the restaurant is overall clean- it is still fairly new location at elmhurst. They hit that perfect Smokey flavor that most other BBQ places can't seem to nail. Another major thing is that everything is flavorful and seasoned but not painfully salty. I feel like I've stepped into the twilight zone of bbq. Not sure if I can figure out what they were going for. It's a walk up ordering process & seat yourself. There is a bar that's not a great bar. No real bartender & I guess you're supposed to walk up there & order a drink & take it back to the picnic bench tables but there are no signs of what drinks they even offer. There are no servers- you have to do everything yourself. The brisket was OK for lean brisket, but it got harder & dryer as it cooled down. Fried pickels were good & corn bread was moist. There are rock hard picnic benches to sit at, but they are incredibly awkward to get in and out of. There are 4 nondescript "rooms" to eat in, but one is pretty much the same as the next. All in all, the food is just ok & the circuses could have been a lot better. read more

OMGGGG. I'm a foodie person. This food is so good. This was my first time there, highly recommended by another foodie person. The staff is great and very informative. We watch the chef/staff with the process after smoking a brisket thru the glass window, and was in awwww. He explained the cooking process and gave us a tester (crust, fat, meat) , and it was deliciously tender and flavorful. We were so amazed that we forgot the sauces (lolll), If the food was good without the sauces, i can only imagine how it taste with them. We had the smoke wings, brisket, burnt ends, pull chicken, ribs and This is my go to for all family and friends who live here, and especially the out of towners. This place is a huge step up from the Lombard location. Now I love the Lombard location but it's a little small and a bit plain (but with the food it hardly mattered). This place is easily 4x the size with well picked decor. The guy who took my order was super friendly and seemed legitimately grateful for my business (which isn't necessary by any means but it was appreciated nonetheless). I ordered a pulled pork sandwich with hand cut fries and they knocked it out of the park. I personally love their sweet Chicago bbq sauce but they're all winners. Nothing was skimped on, nothing was half-a**ed, and it really made an impression. The quality of the food was notable as well. This will be a regular stop for me, as it honestly wasn't too expensive for what I got- under $13 for my whole order.
