Wtffffffffff is this???!!!! Embarrassing NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!! DO NOT BUY FOOD FROM HERE!!!!!!! Mini Combo Turkey Combo

terrible experience never buy food here, disgusting!!!! service terrible as well. not even worth 1 star!

This is the worst bbq I've ever had. The rib tips were just like table scraps, the links were old.

Horrible bbq, more like table scraps. There wasn't a rib tip on the bunch, and I the links were black.I wouldn't feel it to my dog.

Ok, it's been awhile since we were here because of covid but finally had the chance to stop by and have the usual rib tips and link combo with fries and the fish combo. A little disappointed because there's a lot of bones in the order as well as cold greasy fries and very little sauce. The service is good, you order and pay at the counter. The ambiance is ok, nothing fancy. After spending $60 I'm sure there's other places around to try this combo and much cheaper. This used to be our go to place when in the area but might have to change it up.

We stopped in because the smells were amazing. We both had the fish special which was a good price point, but this was an example of you get what you pay for. The shrimp had WAY too much batter on it and once you pick off the batter there wasn't much shrimp left. The catfish was sliced rather than fillet so you have backbone and rib bones in each fried portion. Once you pick out the bones there wasn't much catfish left to eat. Matter of fact, I pitched the last piece because it was just too much work. The only good thing was the meal came with a slice of bread. There is just something about fish present with "make your own sandwich" that is very "home grown" to me. Too bad the food could not overcome my warm fuzzy about the smells and the bread.

I discovered Priscilla's Ultimate Soulfood Cafeteria after Gino W, a yelper out of Country Club…read moreHills visited, reviewed and posted a picture of the collard greens which I came across on my 'local picks near you' feed via yelp platform. Once I noted its location being near an area I frequent, Priscilla's became a must visit for me at some point while in the area. I ended up ordering their veggie plate which came with four sides, and a muffin. As my sides, I chose mashed potatoes with gravy, baked macaroni & cheese, fried green tomatoes, and pinto beans w/rice! Prior to ordering I was hesitant about ordering their baked macaroni & cheese because you just never know what you will get. However, I stuck with it, thinking why not just give it a try because I can just move on to something else if I did not like it. As much as I wanted to order collard greens, seeing that they were paired with meat was a turnoff for me being that I am vegetarian; and I just did not have the patience to pick little pieces of meat out. So, I went with the pinto beans w/rice instead, figuring that it would pair well with the cornbread muffin. Seeing fried green tomatoes was a surprise because it was the last thing I figured was on their menu. I thought to myself, fried green tomatoes! Hmmm, I have not had fried green tomatoes in a very long time, so why not. I always love ordering online via yelp because it is convenient! Most of the time my orders are completed upon my arrival or near complete. No more than 20 minutes from the time I placed my order online via yelp, I picked it up and was well on my way after just a short wait which also gave me the chance to get a feel of Priscilla's. An ideal spot for southern food, the restaurant appeared clean, and its atmosphere gave off the vibe of an old-fashioned buffet restaurant. There are a number of tables and seating available inside of the dining area which makes it the perfect spot to visit with a group; maybe even after attending church on Sunday afternoon. Now as for my food, the pinto beans w/rice were the first of the sides I ate and I could not hold back dancing because they tasted so well with the cornbread muffin. After my first bite of the mashed potatoes with gravy I said to myself, "nice!" because it was so delicious! It has been some time now since I have had good mashed potatoes and I must point out that I will more than likely order it again as a side from Priscilla's. It was so hard to not smirk upon finishing off the mashed potatoes because I enjoyed them so much. Out of all of the sides, I had the highest expectations of the baked macaroni & cheese which I must say lived up to that high expectation. It was my second favorite of the sides next to the mashed potatoes! And lastly, the fried green tomatoes! The fried green tomatoes were just that! I cannot say that I was dissatisfied with the way they tasted nor appeared. What I will say is that I did myself a disservice by not pairing it with the baked macaroni & cheese which would have really complemented its taste. While adding the final touches to this review of Priscilla's Ultimate Soulfood Cafeteria, the thought of returning put a smirk on my face. I do look forward to that as the time goes on. And as Gino W shared the goodness of this restaurant located in Hillside, I share my endorsement of it as well with you all. ~ Live in gratitude ~ Thomas G

But I entered the soul food circus. The parking lot!!! As much money as they bring in it is night time to refigure the parking situation. It's cramped, no flow of in and out and it takes forever to get out. Or in. Once in, I waited to place the order but there was so much chaos! Wrong orders, orders never made, customers ordered items, waited only to be told the item they had been waiting on was sold out, changed the item and wait some more. Door dash and pickups were extremely chaotic and the waiting room was crowded. One woman was literally waiting 30 min on an extra order of potato salad. It seems like ordering ahead did not help cut down on anyone's wait time. I had no issues with staff. They remained professional in the midst of this chaos but I would just like to see more organization to their set up!!! I truly want to support local, especially POC, but I can't waste any more time hoping for them to get it together or revamp their systems. I can't speak to the taste of the food because I only order cornbread. After today, Jiffy Mix will be back in rotation because I can't handle this much chaos and stress.

Its 4.9-star rating out of 20 ratings was the assurance I needed that I would have a quality experience. Looking through the menu at Chickies, I was interested in the Cheese Ravioli, Eggplant Parmigiana with Mozzarella & Red Sauce, Hand-Cut French Fries, and Jumbo Pizza Slice with a drink. I must say that I was surprised to see so many Italian items on the menu at Chickies because I always pictured it as a burger restaurant. I ended up ordering their Eggplant Parmigiana with Mozzarella & Red Sauce because it was the one thing my taste buds desired at the time--other than a slice of pizza, which I can honestly eat every day and not get bored of. I love ordering online for the convenience and the ability to schedule a pickup time. Most of the time, my orders are ready--or nearly ready--upon arrival. By the time I reached the restaurant, my order was being finished behind the counter. While waiting for my order, I just could not resist ordering a cherry milkshake--a rare item for me to see on a menu--while browsing through the menu to kill time. I joked with the employee that it is an item that will surely lure me back to Chickies. Because of this smooth experience, the likelihood of me ordering online from this location again is very high. "Mmmm... That is good!" was my first response after taking a sip of the cherry milkshake, which tasted exactly as it sounds. I had quite a few sips before even driving out of the parking lot at Chickies. It was so good that my mouth watered between sips, and I failed to take any pictures of it--which you will have to forgive me for. I was very pleased with the size of the Eggplant Parmigiana with Mozzarella & Red Sauce. It was beautifully presented and tasted delicious! Each bite offered a perfect blend of savory eggplant and rich red sauce, so I wasted no time finishing it. If you are staring at the Chickies menu and cannot decide what to get, look no further than the Eggplant Parmigiana with Mozzarella & Red Sauce--it will leave you feeling thoroughly satisfied. Being that I had a great ordering experience, I would surely order from The Original Chickies again whether it be Uber Eats delivery or takeout whenever visiting the area. With disappointment, I write a review that is for the first time less than stellar. Our family and friends have been guests of Pappadeaux for many years. And for the past several years, it has become her restaurant of choice to celebrate her birthday each year. She loves Pappadeaux. It is only because of her love for Pappadeaux that we continue to arrange dinner for our group that averages between 20-25, simply because Pappadeaux is not group friendly; does not extend itself to make efforts to accommodate. Let me qualify the review by saying I am very aware of Pappadeaux's policy to reserve space for a maximum of 10 in one party, though they do accept reservations for more without guaranteeing the private dining room but would endeavor to accommodate. What we are told each year and clearly understand is the use of the private room requires its own staff and logistical advance planning, which is why I make the reservation well in advance. Though they can't guarantee the room, they make a note of our request and advise us to check with the manager on duty, who would make the decision. On September 5th, we were told by the manager (Julio) that the private room was not available because they didn't have any staff that could cover that area. He said he would have to pull staff from other areas to accommodate us. And in order to assure us a good dining experience, he would seat us together with the public to guarantee us a better dining experience. Being a business owner, I clearly understood and graciously accepted the area he suggested which indeed could accommodate us all. UNTIL, I walked by the private dining room by coincidence soon thereafter and noticed a group of 10 that was not only seated in the private room but was being SERVED by a SERVER, who Julio (the manager on duty) told me minutes before was not available. On my way walking by the room sometime later (it was nearby), I noticed a different group of 10 was seated and being served in the private room that was not available to us. I do realize our group was larger (21) but however they assigned to serve the two groups of 10 (total 20) could have accommodated us. We waited hours for food anyway. Thus, my complaint is not that the room was not available; it appears that we were lied to, as the room in fact was available and STAFFED. Julio's reasoning for accommodating us in the public dining area was to ensure we'd have a wonderful dining experience. Well, that didn't work out so well either. We received less than quality service. The food was exceptional as always. We were assigned four tables and three servers. Patrick and Chey were phenomenal servers. However, 3 guests at the table to whom the third server was assigned, had not received their meal after two hours, while others at their table had eaten. I know the timing because I know what time we were seated and looked at my watch after noticing the guests still without food at 6:08pm. When I asked one of the guests what they ordered, it was simply gumbo and a salad. No one was preparing their food; there was little to prepare! They were forgotten! I asked another server for assistance, who went to the kitchen, got approval to serve us and immediately assisted until the entire group was finally served. But they unfortunately opted to take their food home by that time. The assigned server did not return until near check time. I could have lived with all of it, except BEING LIED TO. The private room was always available, was STAFFable and STAFFED. Whoever the space was given to came in after us. Though my mother loves Pappadeaux, coupled with the fact that we spent nearly $2k Saturday and each year before at this event, not including what we spend in visits during the year, we would need to be TREATED AS WELL AS THE OTHER GUESTS to return. We must not be made to feel UNWELCOME, UNDERAPPRECIATED and UNDERVALUED at any time. Otherwise, it would become necessary for us to explore other restaurant options that are more customer friendly to groups and would appreciate our business. Again, I don't mind the policy, but why not staff the room in advance when a reservation is made 1-2 weeks in advance, rather than having to check and see who is available or willing to stay in the moment, especially when you know we are coming! I believe that is a policy that needs to be revisited. I would hope that Pappadeaux's values our business enough to respond and contact us. Looking forward to hearing from you. Pastor Olivia Johnson

They were tender and Smokey I just wished they had some type of bark on them. All in all they were tasty. I'll give them a 6.8/10. The brisket sliders were also tender & a nice smoke flavor to them but they didn't have any bark on them as well. The buns were soft and buttery which helped. 7/10. They came without sauce which I liked they have 3 sauces on the table for you to choose from. Sweet, spicy and a vinegar based sauce. The sweet sauce and the sauce were average 5/10 the vinegar based I didn't care for at all 0/10 for me. The turkey sliders were decent. Very nice smoke on them and very tender. And they weren't dried out. The same soft buttery buns 6.5/10 Now those signature Brussel Sprouts was hitting hard! They had a nice char on them very flavorful and just a faint hint of sweetness. They were star of the meal! 8.8/10! We got fries with the sliders...... 7.8/10! Q BBQ was decent nothing special but they were good. I'm willing to give them another chance. I ordered a Bloody Mary to start, which was ok, but could have used more spice for a boost of flavor. The Turkey Stack sandwich was served on a soft, buttery pretzel bun with a generous portion of turkey. While the tomato wasn't very fresh, the rest of the elements were good. The side of cranberry relish was not to my liking, but that's just a personal preference. However, because that was the only spread choice, my sandwich ended up being a bit flat in taste. The steak fries that accompanied were good, but also could have used a bit more seasoning for taste. My husband had the Bartender Steak Sandwich, and while deconstructed each ingredient was savory, the garlic bread was not the best bread choice to support the juiciness of the steak.
