The rib tips were juicy, tender, and very delicious! Highly recommend. The mashed potatoes were good, they could have been a little bit more creamy. The collard greens, I personally didn't like it. The Corn muffin was moist, tasty and delicious! Best corn muffins I have had. I wanted some to order muffins to go! That's how good they were. The waitress was very nice and attentive.

They offer larger platters making it easier for everyone to share. They also have individual entrees as well. I'm not the biggest BBQ fan so I ended up ordering the hickory chicken sandwich. It was pretty good! I liked that they have multiple side options and went with broccoli. My order specifically was brought over maybe 15 mins after everyone else got their food. Our server did explain that the kitchen missed my item hence why it took longer. I appreciated the transparency, no problem. Everyone else enjoyed their shared BBQ platter + an order of their brisket. The platter they ordered says it serves 4-5 people and between 5 of them this was the perfect amount. They also had some left overs too.

You know, - I saw their barbecue sauce in the stores for years - even out in Southern California,…read morewhere I lived for 32 years. I had no idea that they actually ran a restaurant. Seriously! So, imagine my surprise when I found out they had a restaurant on Irving Park Road in Wooddale - and I would occasionally pass it going to and from work! Well, it was time to try it for lunch today. There wasn't a big line of people, but boy did the food smell like barbecue when I walked in! I quickly ordered the two meat combo with chopped brisket and pulled pork. I got the green chili, Mac and cheese as a side, as well as the classic coleslaw. All right - the ambience was just perfect for a small barbecue place. The food came quickly, but I noted it wasn't quite right. I had asked for chopped brisket not sliced brisket. Not a crime against humanity, true, but still I didn't complain and I decided to go ahead and eat it anyway. So how was it? Well, I slathered on sweet rays barbecue sauce, and ate like crazy. The meat was pretty darn good! The green chili mac & cheese was delicious- can't say that the coleslaw was to my taste, but there was nothing wrong with it. The cornbread was fantastic. The only reason for the demerit? Was that I ordered chopped brisket and got sliced. Will I come here again? Yes, yes I think I shall! And I think you should try it too if you like barbecue.

Their inside feels like a greenhouse with tons of glass walls around but they also have a large patio (some shaded, some not spots). On Saturdays, they do 1/2 price frozen drinks, $1 wings, and $17 buckets of booze. I tried the Frozen Espresso Martini which was the perfect patio sipper! My friends got the Redtide which was a bit tart for me but they loved it. For food, we got some shareables for the table: Elote, Mac & Cheese, Ancho Carrots, and Cornbread. All the sides were amazing but the standouts were the elote and carrots. For meals, everyone got a mixture of Sandwiches and Golden Boy Plates. The Pig & Bull Sandwich was tender, packed with flavor, and loved the sweet slaw paired with it. Even on the plates, the meat was all juicy and tender. I absolutely loved the vibe of this spot and cannot wait for more warm weather to come back! Be sure to check out their weekly specials for extra deals!

The food overall was delicious, however, there were a few drawbacks. The pulled chicken did have a bone in it, and the cornbread on the platter was laughably small. I wouldn't bother putting it on the menu personally. Everyone seemed to enjoy their drink selection, all in all, a good visit.
