Finally got around trying this after hearing a t on of mixed reviews. It's all halal, and some things were really good vs others. Upon arriving, the host asked where I wanted to sit, and I took a booth. After my party arrived, the host/server came by to inform us that we order through our phones and what are some popular dishes here. He also informed us that the tips given online are not distributed to the staff, the owners keep them. (Be sure to bring tip cash) Below are the following items we got and my personal rating: 2/5 for korokke- tasted like hash-browns- nothing crazy. 5/5- sweet and spicy wings- very good and on the spicy side more than sweet 10/5- Kalbi- we really enjoyed this dish- the meat was very tender, and the seasoning was excellent served with a small cup of rice. Overall, the experience was great, and we really enjoyed the food! Looking forward on coming back!

My family and I loved this place, it's hard to find halal Korean food anywhere. There is a lot of seating. You order and pay on your phone using a QR code on the table. The food came out super quickly. We tried a variety of items, like short ribs (our favorite), soup, wings, jap chae, and rice cakes. Everything tasted so good and had a nice spicy kick to it. The kimchi was really fresh and tasted great. We had plenty of leftovers afterwards. Highly recommend for amazing halal Korean food.

Korean Fried Wings - Sweet & Spicy

Overall, this is an overpriced spot for Korean food. There are so many other spots that sell the same thing for better quantity/quality than what you can get here. Got the Korean fried chicken. It was a lot of breading. Tteokbokki dish didn't have a lot of tteokbokki or any fish cake. Flavor wise everything was good but again, overpriced for how much you get and can definitely get these dishes better elsewhere.

Came here on a Sunday night and there was no wait and no need for reservation. I got seated right away and had to scan a QR code to check the menu and order on the phone. Placed order for Kalbi, loaded fries, lamb cutlet, and sweet spicy Korean wings. Absolutely loved Kalbi and lamb cutlet but wasn't a fan of sweet spicy wings or loaded fries. Unfortunately you can't adjust the sweetness which is why I found the sweet spicy Korean wings a little on sweet side and so were loaded fries. Would definitely come back to try other items on the menu. The customer service was great and everything came out pretty quickly.

Drove 30 min away to try this place and absolutely loved it! The flavor was incredible. Will be back!

We ordered the Korean fried rice with beef and the ginger soy fried chicken wings. Very flavorful and spicy.

Food were delicious. You can choose where to sit either a booth or table. There are QR code to get the menu, order, and pay on your phone. I think you can still order at the counter if you're not good with the QR order and pay method. They had sign above counter like cash only at this spot and another spot Order to Go. Utensils self serve, but the workers there brought it out to your table. Potstickers were fried and came piping hot. Wish they gave us hot sauce to dip it in. Taro milk tea with fresh tapioca bubbles as they were very soft to chew. Had a good amount of sugar, so it wasn't too sweet. Had the hot stone Bibimbap with bulgogi. They gave you lots of toppings and had a good amount of Gochujang sauce. They gave you a bottle of Gochujang so you can add more to your preference. My friend had the bulgogi with rice and she had lots of leftovers too.

All the food was delicious, although expensive... A great Halal/zabiha Korean food option with a very casual ambience.

I was working out at the LA Fitness in Lombard and came outside to a bunch of restaurants. I haven't had Korean food in a while, so when I saw this cute little place next door, i decided to go by myself and dine in. It did not disappoint! The food came out super quick!! It is a quiet, cute place that has plenty of seating for a decent amount of people (if you come with a group of friends). I ordered the veggie spring rolls (yummers!!!!) and the Korean Yakisoba with chicken and it was delicious!!! I would definitely come back and try more food! It is a bit pricey (I spent $36 plus tip) just for myself but you do get big portions, so I guess it evens out a bit. For that, it couldn't get 5 stars unfortunately.

Really authentic Korean spot. It's not K-BBQ but offer a killer bulgogi and Korean wings. All Halal.

It had some crispy outside layers and was filled with chewy seafood inside. Chap jae noodles- not bad. Well seasoned but quantities were a bit on the low end for the price. New Korea Garden is full of traditional dishes as well as modern takes. Has options for a few diets. The prices are pretty good and not crazy expensive like at many Asian and Korean places. Came at lunch. It's not an impressive looking place. That's the worst that can be said about this restaurant. Kind of a boring atmosphere. The food was pretty good though so whatever. It's about $14 for an entree. Maybe that sounds like a lot, but you get a lot. Entrees are mostly meaty with beef or seafood, but you can get tofu instead. They can make most of these okay for vegetarians. Each of us got the Spicy Noodle. This is buckwheat noodles in hot sauce. Additionally. this came with lots of appetizers. There was kimchi, miso soup, and lots more. For sure this is one of the best options in town for Asian. It's authentic, but it's suitable for American tastes. There's plenty of choices for meat eaters, and also many that can be made for vegans and vegetarians.

Unfortunately my wife is vegetarian and the seafood roll included fish eggs, so that obviously doesn't work. I called the restaurant to ask if the order could be remade and simply packaged separately. At first I was told no, and after speaking with the manager it turned into an unnecessarily difficult conversation before they finally agreed to remake it. What was most disappointing wasn't the initial mistake -- those happen -- but the attitude and unwillingness to correct something that was such a simple fix. As someone who works in the hospitality industry, I strongly believe that taking care of your guests and making things right should always come first. Losing a loyal customer over the cost of a few sushi rolls simply doesn't make sense. Restaurants, especially those serving seafood and shellfish, should be mindful that many guests have dietary restrictions, allergies, or lifestyle choices like vegetarian or vegan diets. Unless it's clearly stated otherwise, customers should be able to expect that separate items will be packaged separately. Unfortunately this experience has made me reconsider supporting a place I've visited and recommended many times before in Downers Grove. Hoping this is something they reflect on for the future.
