Took our super-crew F-150 ford in mind you this is a four door truck that is more like a passage car. We took it in to have tires balanced so they called and we picked it up. It happens to be one of a few 2nd cars so a week and a half later I get a call from my wife saying it's shaking still and she is panicking because we took it in to Firestone to balance the tire so she is thinking it a major problem. I told her to take it home and I will look at it. So get home and I look at the front see new weights and look in the back and there are no new weights mind you we had them rotated and balanced. So I took it to work dropped off at les swab ask them to balance tires. They called when done and they asked if it shakes and said yes as a matter of fact they said the back tires were over a Oz. Out of balance... Firestone needs to update there policy back in the 70's it was common practice not to balance rear tires on single cab long bed trucks. But now we have 4 door trucks that are more passenger cars which back tires need to be balanced and Ford recommends them to be balanced. Or Firestone should ask the customer and give you an option to balance the rear. Just food from r thought.. read more

I was headed to San Diego from the Bay Area when I noticed my alignment being off. I stopped by the Tracy location and Danny took care of me from start to finish. He told me how busy they were that day and morning and as I got my hopes down he took my information and took my car in.. Not only did they have their annual epic sales event but they were booked all the way up until the afternoon but Danny slide me in take care of me got my alignment done and I was in and out in about 45 minutes. Had an allegedly "bad battery" as determined by AAA staff. Drove the car here, asked for a new battery installation. James took care of it, later informed me that service person, Benji, found that the battery actually tested as "good". They were honest, allowed me to consider not to buy a battery right now ($160 cost). I appreciated their service, time, honesty and integrity. So, I will now wait and see if the battery really is bad or if it was a fluke testing by AAA when my battery went out. Intermittently good prices on tires. They have a Free Battery Test banner hanging and right under that banner, these guys charged me $29 to check my battery. 2. It took them 2 hours to finish my battery test. They have only worked on my car for 5 minutes. 3. They have suggested, my battery life is over and needs to get it replaced also suggested me to get some other belt replacement. Where only battery replacement is around $200 and belt replacement is around $150. 4. I have googled battery price right from this place and found a way to cheaper options, drive the car to Walmart and get the battery replaced in $75 which took me around 30 minutes for everything. 5. The agent here suggested me his battery is 5 years warranty where 2.5 years full replacement and 2.5 years prorated. While I was at Walmart, $75 battery I got is 2 years full replacement but they had an option of $120 which is 5 years full replacement + 2 years pro-rated. 6. I have also asked about the belt issue to Walmart guy and he could not find any problem in such an area. I hope you guys can figure out now how this place is robbing you with their prices. This is my new tire/service center. I came in desperate with two flat tires, and was attended to immediately. Sure, I had to wait about an hour and a half, however, I did not have an appointment. The Store Manager, Danny, provided excellent service, charged me a great price, and fixed everything. I really thought I was going to be screwed, but they sure made my life easier. Please be cautious if using this location at least for oil change. My son bought his first used car and had his first oil change here. Next day his car breaks down. He was in San Rafael at the time. He had car towed to Big O. They did inspection and found oil drain plug was over tighten and cracked oil was leaking and most likely engine issue now. We then had car towed to a mechanic we know. He evaluated the car said engine was blown! He said due to oil loss. You can imagine the devastation to my son. He called Firestone to file a claim. Headquarters called and basically said my son was lying and did nothing. $8,000 down the drain. My son worked so hard to save up for his car and Firestone did not stand behind the work they did. I just don't want anyone else to go through this. The car was donated to kidz4 cars. He had also purchased the lifetime alignment that was only obviously used that one time. Take you car to a mechanic who owns his business they most likely will care about their customers and stand behind their work. read more

I took my car in to this Firestone on Wednesday last week, and I paid for them to do a thorough vehicle inspection to make sure everything was all good with the used car I'd just purchased. I also asked for my fluids to be topped off, which the guy who helped me said was no problem. When I picked up my car, everything seemed fine; there were a couple things to be fixed, but I wanted to take my car to a shop closer to home in Sacramento for that. Glad I did, too! On my way home, my check engine light came on with two codes - one to do with my battery and one with the thermostat. Now, on my receipt for the service at Firestone, it explicitly says that the vehicle inspection I paid for included a battery check, but upon taking my car to my mechanic in Sac, I find out my battery voltage is low, which Firestone 100% should've picked up on! Then, I notice that my antifreeze is super low too, so Firestone clearly didn't top that off either! My recommendation: don't go to this Firestone. You won't get what you pay for and your car might crap out on you because Firestone puts no care into their work. read more

Don't go there, these guys are Jerks! Went there to get a tire repaired, it had a nail. Before I was even near the tech he was telling me he could not repair the tire, but he had a great deal on new tires. And to top it off, he was laughing like it was a good joke. Not the professional attitude I would expect. If I do end up needing tires, I'll go elsewhere. Too bad I can't give them 0 stars! One more thing, I went across the street to Pro Tires, the tech there inspected my tire and found that the Tire was actually OK, and if it was punctured it could be repaired!!!. Turns out that the problem was with the rim and not the tire! I would have bought a new tire at Firestone and not need it! And Who knows, it would have probably flattened out again... Wow! Great guys, excellent customer service. I ordered 4 federal595 tires with tpms sensors to be mounted on some new ssr wheels for my acura ilx and they did an awesome job. No questions asked and they didn't try to up sell me anything like that other 1 star rating guy. I came back the next day because my tire was leaking air out the rubber seal in the tpms sensor and they replaced it free of charge. Downgrading for one reason, and one reason only.... Ever since James retired, I'm forever getting a different advisor, two of which I KNOW are not providing honest service. I don't want to keep bringing my vehicle to an establishment that's trying to sell me things I do not need. I don't want to walk in the door questioning your integrity. For example, one advisor told me I needed new tires in Feb 2020. I was pretty sure I didn't need tires. I went home, checked my tires and asked my neighbor to take a look as well. And what do ya know, I did NOT need new tires. Months later I went in for brakes. I asked them to inspect my tires, and explained that if they recommended tires, I would ask them to show me my tires. And what do ya know... tires where nowhere on the recommended services. This month - November - I went in for an estimate on a service, and while I was there asked about my tires..... drumroll... I still don't need tires. This is a second instance like this one since James left... It's to the point where I don't want to ask about a service I believe I DO need until I have time to research it for myself. I don't want to feel this way about a place that's taken care of all my family vehicles since 2011. Makes me kinda sad actually. Not sure what to do about it. Trust has been damaged. read more

Took very good care of me. I scheduled an appointment one hour away from my phone call and they were able to accommodate my schedule and got me right in when I arrived. Very attentive and thorough with their inspections. I came in on 9/22/2020 and I had SCHEDULED an appointment at 11 am, I ended up leaving around 4 o clock!! Terrible, they had my car sitting there for so long while working on other cars, No point of scheduling! I came in for front rotors turned and steering wheel fluid. So after 5 hours I'm definitely ready to leave and they call me back to pay and it came up to 230.00. I'm not to educated with cars, mind you I didn't even get steering wheel fluid. They charged me for things I didn't need serviced like brake fluid and told me I had a leak (which I didn't ) and waited more time so I'd pay more. I realized this on the way home. Sad to see when people get over on you for a few extra dollars, especially during a pandemic. Never coming back Things got fixed but waiting 5 hours after a scheduled appointment and being over charged is a big no for me. read more

We were on our way home when our cars battery light came on. We searched the problem and found that it was the alternator so we instantly took it in. We arrived an hour before there closing time and they took our car right in despite the fact that all their garages were filled and they had a huge work load. The guys here were great!! Kenneth the manager was super friendly, genuinely empathetic, and went way above and beyond to help us. Since we aren't from here and didn't have our vehicle anymore he insisted on taking us to our hotel. He did this after his shift had ended and refused to let us pay him for his time and inconvenience. He kept us informed on the status of our vehicle the whole time.
