Went there for an oil change, and I asked for Mobil 1 0w-30 which is the right fit for my car. They charged me 324.28 USD for 11 quarts of oil, 52.95 USD for the filter, and 25 USD labor. This is more expensive than my official BMW dealership. Inquiring further, they marked up the cost of the oil to insane levels of 20.32 USD per quart. You can buy it retail on Amazon for less than 10 USD per quart. What a rip off! To put it in perspective, my dealership, fully OEM everything, charges me 170 USD. This was nearly 2x that. Tracy Ripoff Service would be a more appropriate company name. NEVER going there ever again. read more

I asked for a quote for a service. The guy wanted me to go in to get a diagnostic so I can get an accurate quote. Was told the diagnostic fee would be $90. When I brought my car in I was told the diagnostic fee would be $180. I was not happy but had the diagnostic done anyway since I was already there. The quote for the service was kinda high so I was suspicious and went to the dealership and got another quote. The price from the dealership was actually lower. My vehicle is almost completed, he advised me on every step, I believe it was not easy but he found the problem and with his due diligence he is repairing it. I have spent allot of time working in or for the military. Talking with persons in the shop they have family that has or is currently serving in the military. I needed my oil changed and brake light fixed. Staff were super friendly. They brought other maintenance and repair issues to my attention and explained everything clearly with no pressure to do anything beyond what I had come for, just offered recommendations in order of their urgency (for example, a cracked suspension arm and a leak). They have this cool electronic form where you can preview the estimate on your phone and approve or defer the repairs you want done. I will be coming back to this place. If you have a long wait, you can easily walk downtown and browse the local shops, restaurants, or coffeehouses until they call you when your car is done. The truck asked him to adjust it and the owner had an attitude telling me I'm busy, but I had already paid on my my money and I took it back twice. It's still not adjusted. Don't hesitate to go here 1st! This place provides honest quality service. I was all stressed out. My co-worker tried to fix my radio and messed up the wiring and I could not reverse it. I used my emergency button next to my joystick to back out in reverse to get to work. I drove the next morning to Tracy Auto Repair and Jessie the manager told me to go to work you are fine you do not need to take the day off. I was freaking out about it and listened to him I was perfectly fine no accidents happened from me not being able to go reverse (duh me). On my day off I took it back there and he got my car to automatically go into reverse with the joystick. I was full of joy lol and went to Safeway I was filled with so much I forgot where my cart was. Easy communication through text (perfect since I was at work) and they even sent pictures! I wasn't able to make it to pick my car before they closed so I paid through an invoice attachment and they had my key in a lock box I was able to access. Are you sure we are in Tracy??!
