Made an appointment as always for 5/31/24 10am online. I have been to this location countless times and no issues. Today went in to get some wheels/tires installed and as I was about to approve the amount I see a $58 jump in price from SAME JOB on same wheels. I believe his name was Raya (small little guy) or something as the card in front of him was placed. Says, well they must have given you a discount?! Yeah sure! I have been paying this $180 amount for the longest time and so funny all of a sudden the price jumped. I looked for Ian, who was always on top of things when being helped at this location. He wasn't around. I hate it when people who don't know what they're doing acts like they know. Thought this was a place to "go to" but I guess just like americas tire there's incompetent people who tries to rip you off thinking you don't know what you're doing. I've recently been doing more general auto service with the Tracy location specifically and continue to be impressed with their abilities and integrity in assessments. This week i visited again and was assisted by Sakek (may have that spelled wrong) with standard maintenance and my cousin's car who was told there were potential gasket issues. They changed oil on both cars, but more importantly checked out all the warning lights and items we wanted looked at (that i would have happily paid for). After dropping off, told me i owed for (2) oil changes only and confirmed everything else on cars checked out (brakes, gaskets, belts, alignment, etc.) and no other services were needed. Ian and his team here are amazing. Not only are they experts and knowledgeable but they also provide amazing customer service. They let me know every step of the way when my car was being serviced. They even checked for free if I needed alignment or tire rotation and explained to me in detail what to keep an eye out for on my next service. I only wished they carried more brands of full synthetic oil on hand then just valvoline but they can order other motor oils for you if you request it ahead of time. No big deal. The quality, value, and customer service I got here was just phenomenal. The prices are very reasonable considering how bad inflation is currently. They are still cheaper than other places. I would 100% come back here and bring the rest of my vehicles as well for service. Had a flat on a Big O brand tire. Pulled in and found two tiny nails in the tire. Was told it couldn't be fixed and I'd have to buy a new tire because I didn't have my original paperwork with me and the tire was probably old anyway. Big O offers free flat repair and free tire replacement on their tires, which is one of the reasons I bought them. But there was NO attempt to help, look up my purchase on the computer or call the Big O where I bought them. It was obvious there was plenty of tread left and the nails were over two inches from the sidewall, an easy fix. I had them put air in the tire and limped 25 miles with a slow leak to the next closest Big O in Dublin, CA. They looked up tire purchase on computer (less than two years ago) and fixed the flat in less than an hour, no questions asked. They even put tire slick one all four tires which was kind of funny since my truck was filthy. As insult to injury in Tracy, the place is filthy everywhere and the bathroom had not been cleaned in weeks with a sink covered in tire grime from handwashing and a floor covered in gross filth. There was another employee behind the counter unaware of the dirt covering the service counter and showroom. No pride here. At all. This is my second review, ever. Dont think people need my opinion on everything. But they might need a warning. I was so frustrated and this was all I could do since the guy who helped me runs the place and there was no resolution with him. I was in need of a replacement spare tire due to a nail puncture. After calling to verify they had the tire I needed, I brought the bad tire, they put the new tire on my existing rim within 10 mins. It was surprisingly fast service. I ended up getting the tire installation instead of doing it myself. That was a good choice because the installation was extremely fast as well, probably about 10 mins for that service. The employees were also very nice and professional. I would go back. read more

GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! I have been a customer of Big O for many years, However, the new owner has turned a great tire shop into a place I will no longer do business with. Big O has always been more expensive than most places but I was happy to pay a little more for the honest and helpful staff that cared about quality customer service. Since the new owner took over there is a completely new (I'm sure less experienced and cheaper) staff that cares only about upselling and adding unnecessary charges on top of the already increased prices. There is no longer any customer service and I really have to question the quality of work. From now on I will take my business elsewhere, Tracy has a lot of places to choose from: Costco, Firestone, America's Tire, Les Schwab, Amigo, Cox Bros. These guys pretend to be your friend to get your business, then quickly change their tone once they got your money. Their alignment machine won't do a simple alignment, and they are spinning it with excuses in a way to get more money, blaming it on my (not bald at all) tire. I left the shop with my alignment WORSE than when I came in. Head guy continues to talk over me rudely, does not listen, and just keeps trying to assert his dominance in the conversation instead of listening to the customer. Finally convince him to refund me, but he continues to make more lousy excuses about how he can't do it. Finally a woman who was in the back stepped in and took care of it. Horrible experience, trash customer service and rude management. Spend the extra money and go to a better shop. EDIT: I took my car to another shop the very next day and they were able to align it without issues. They spent over an hour getting it right, while Big-O did it in 10 minutes and gave up. This other shop said there was no problem at all with my tires, and I left with a perfect alignment. Big-O is incompetent, cocky, and profit driven business. I had been a customer of theirs for a few years, then when they had a change of ownership it seems they found expensive repairs/replacements had to be done ... like $1,400 type of Suspension things, whereas just a little bit prior to these findings, there was NO MENTION of pending problems. And it all seems to have coincided with that change in ownership. I SEE ALOT of people rate this place highly, and maybe they are right and I wrong, but my recommendation is that if you find them wanting to replace a lot of things that are underneath the car ... where most people never crawl ... go to a Dealership and get a Second Opinion. Bought 4 big O tires in august 2016 in Livermore. The Livermore location has great service and people. On my way home, I had a puncture and decided to take the flat tire to the Tracy big O for a patch. The guy at the counter told me unless I had a receipt he couldn't help me. So, I drove on the spare to the Livermore location and they fixed the flat no charge. I will never shop at Big O tires again. Period. For anyone reading this and want the Big O brand, please consider taking you business to the Livermore location. I had a pathetic experience at this center. I called and booked the appointment over the phone. At the time I shared my vehicle model Merc GL450. I reconfirmed a couple of times whether they have the break pad for my car and they said yes. Upon reaching the shop they provided a revised price which was 250% more then the estimated amount quoted over the phone. And they said it will take an extended wait time as they will have to order the spares from Dublin, CA. Not only they broke the trust, it also seemed that they do not have an experienced technician. This is the worst place and I would say think 100 times before you even think to come to this shop. read more

This place is terrible. My mother came here to have all 4 of her wheels swapped for brand new ones and to have her brakes changed. Seems easy enough for a mechanic right? Unfortunately, my mom comes home and I hear this loud screeching noise coming from the front tires which i haven't ever heard before till she took it to this place. We call the place and they admit that one of the mechanics working there did a bad job on our car. You'd think we'd get a refund or maybe we can take the car back to get the job done right? Wrong. Non refundable job. If I wanted to mess up my cars tires, I would have done it myself FOR FREE. We paid them around $1100 just to have a guy mess up our car. Terrible service honestly. Truly a waste of time and money if they were to mess up your car as well, because you certainly ain't getting your money back, that's for sure. read more

After ordering tires and making an appointment at this location I arrived at the specified time. I was told the time frame was about 90 mins. I could see my truck in the garage with a new set of tires after about 45 minutes. The only remaining task was the alignment. Nearly 3 hours later it was completed. I asked the manager what was taking so long and he replied, "they can only work so fast. " As I stood and watched in this time period only one other vehicle had an alignment completed. I again asked the manger about time it was taking and he said, "there is nothing I can do." I have been a loyal Big O customer for 25 years as this business was first located on Central Ave. I will no longer do business , because they just don't care about decent customers service. I have been going to Big O Tires in Tracy for quite sometime now. I have never experience the worst Customer Service from an employee named Ian. His voice is never pleasant. So monotone. When asking about pricing he acts like it's a task to look up even though I'm in the system. A few months ago I asked about an oil change he told me it was $79. I thought that was rather high cause everytime I go there it's around $39. So I took my car there anyways it was exactly what I thought it would be. Thet also offer VIP service where they rotate your tires and let you know if you need an alignment. Ian's response was "if we do that for you and you do need the alignment we will just do it and charge you when you pick up your car". I've never heard of that. So Ian if you don't like what you are doing you might want to find another job. It didn't hurt to smile or be pleasant. You are representing a BRAND! All if the other employees are wonderful!. So I brought my vehicle in for brakes and opted to replace the rotors as well. This should be done at least every 40k miles. Since I just passed this milestone, it was time. Total price $295 which included brake pads, rotors and wiper blades. You never know when rain will start falling in CA. HOPING SOON! Every since this place changed ownership it has gone down in customer service and quality of work. I went here to get some new tires mounted and balanced, not only did they break one of my wheel caps, they forgot to tighten 2 of my lug nuts and the tires weren't balanced correctly! I took my car on the freeway and at around 65mph the steering wheel was shaking vigorously and my seats were shaking! I'd suggest another tire place. read more
