I went in for an oil change yesterday. LJ was the employee that helped me. Although my car took awhile, I had shown up early so that was why. LJ examined my whole vehicle. He told me things I didn't even know we're wrong! He showed me things under my car, and around and exactly what I should fix first and why. He not only explained the issue but took the time to show them to me and explain what I should do. I went in for an oil change, left with knowing my car needs work. But it was nice having someone care to take the time to look out for me. I don't know much about cars and LJ helped me tremendously. I will be returning in the future instead of going somewhere else. So Firestone bought Fletchers and now refuses to honor pre-existing customer service contracts. We purchased and paid extra for lifetime oil changes and rather than honor that after the corporate takeover - Firestone is only offering "a complimentary oil change" and then regular rates. Gee, thanks. Um guess what Firestone - you owe me a LIFETIME of complimentary oil changes. Won't be coming back. Also, when they answered the phone and I asked if this was Fletchers, they said no, it's Firestone and hung-up. Hey guys, this was a different business name for 30+ years. The phone number on the internet still says Fletchers. Let your customers know Firestone bought Fletchers and provide some common decency and courtesy to former customers of Fletchers. For the crappy customer service alone - won't be giving Firestone any of my hard earned cash. read more

This Fletcher's was incredible! I came here after a horrific experience with Fletcher's on 12th and Bell. I bought a groupon, so I had to stay with this company to redeem it. I was very hesitant, but I'm so glad I did. Everyone was great and honest! The estimate I got from a different place was about $600 but these guys found that I didn't need all the things the other guys were trying to charge for. They could have just went along with what was on the original estimate, but instead they took the honorable and dignified approach. They saved me $400 and fixed my car in less than 24 hours, even though they were short a mechanic. Seriously, I can't say enough great things about this place!! read more

I am from Maricopa but up in the North Phoenix area often for my wife's cancer treatments at Mayo Clinic. On my way to visit her I stopped to get gas at the shell station at the 101 & Tatum. That is where my 2013 Equinox had died and would not start. I had a tow truck jump the car so I can get it down to Fletcher's. The reason why I was going to Fletcher's was that I purchased the battery with the 5 year warranty from the Fletcher's in Maricopa. I wanted them to test the battery to see if there was a dead cell and possibly replace the battery. I was willing to stay and wait for the replacement but the guy that was working the front desk was having none of it. They told me that it will be several hours before they could even test the battery which only takes a few minutes. Frustrated I walked out and went across the parking lot to walmart. They had a battery and bought a wrench set and went back to Fletcher's. I changed my own battery which took about 30 minutes in the 100+ degree heat in front of Fletcher's. I understand there were other customers there a head of me and I was willing to wait for the replacement but all I asked was to have the battery tested. I know this would have not happened at the Fletchers in Maricopa and will deal with them only in getting a replacement battery or reimburse me for my new battery purchase at Walmart. read more

BUYER BEWARE!!!! SCAM ALERT! FYI. A 4 wheel computer alignment should be under $100 complete.( that includes caster, camber and toe). This is and has been the industry standard. This company tried to charge me an additional $115 to make adjustments to the caster and camber on top of the regular $70 service. I took our 2010 GMC Acadia in for a 4-wheel alignment. Our car drove "fine" but had a slight shake at 75mph and the steering wheel was not exactly centered. On their service price board they had the alignment listed for $69.95. But they were offering a special for the month of February for $59.95. After waiting for two hours, the service writer came to me to inform me that the "alignment needed caster, camber and toe adjustments. And for the $59.95 they would do what's called the Toe & Go(just the toe adjustment) But, if I wanted the other adjustments done, that I will be charged an additional $115". To say I was irate would be an understatement. The tech then went on to tell me to "call around" and that I would find ALL shops do this and all of them have this provision in their "fine print". I asked where is Fletcher Automotive's "fine print"? Well, he had no answer for this and agreed to do the entire alignment for the posted price. The bill came out to $66 and some change, which a happily paid. The car drives fine and I have no complaint on the service, just on their tactic to fleece more money from their customers. Any un-expecting person might fall for this bait and switch routine. So do you homework before even steeping one foot into this establishment. read more

They did a good job on my oil and air filter change. I did not appreciate their customer service at first. When I first came in there was only one employee there and he was helping out the lady in front of me. Not only did this employee not greet me, but the customer acknowledge me and said " wow you are being very patient." Needless to say I stood in that line for 5 minutes with no acknowledgement and that to me was not good customer service. If an employee is busy he could for the least say "I will be with you shortly." Would I recommend this place? No, I would recommend jiffy lube instead. read more

Dropped off our car for their online oil change and tire rotation special of $14.95. They said they could fit us in on a Saturday. Car set there all day and they called 30 minutes before close and said they couldn't do the oil change. We picked the car up and scheduled for the next Wednesday. My wife dropped the car off on Wednesday and they said it would be a couple of hours. (really!?) The manager had quite the attitude and must not like their corporate pricing. When she came back to pick it up they said everything was done and charged her $17.95 (++ for misc. shop charges = $24.95) After she got home I looked at the receipt and they decided we didn't need our tires rotated (but didn't tell us). Sounds like that might have been too much work for them. Yes, I went back and got my $3. You see, their customer service and attitude sucks - like they're doing you a big favor by working you in and not doing the work and overcharging. And, I'd rather have a Chick-fil-a sandwich at the store next door. Never again. BrakeMasters doesn't have these issues. read more

I have never felt the need to write a negative review, but in this case I must. I am frustrated that I am this upset over an expensive oil change, but it is the principal at this point. Worst customer service in the world. Unable to schedule and oil change after 4 different attempts. First attempt, they were all booked up. Next attempt, even though first come first serve and I was there at 8 am Saturday, they were all booked up. Third attempt, they were booked up for the remainder of the week (I called on Tuesday). Final attempt, they told me they don't schedule appts except for on Mondays. I contacted the corporate office, they did not return my phone call. ***NOTE TO OWNERS--don't sell discount oil packages if you are not going to honor them or make it impossible to fulfill*********** I shouldn't say they wouldn't fulfill, because they were kind enough to offer me to drop the car off in the morning and they would squeeze me in some point through out the day and I could pick up after work. Of course they didn't offer a ride to work, so I would have had to inconvenience my wife as well for a ride. Hmm, last time I checked a basic oil change on a passenger car shouldn't take all day. I will never go back and if this persuades at least one person not to go there so he/she won't experience my same level of frustration, then I feel this has served its purpose. Always great service here, and at a reasonable price. I'm a young woman with limited car knowledge walking into a service shop... In most other places, that would spell trouble; at Fletcher's, on the other hand, I feel I can completely trust them. Staff are personable and willing to bring you into the garage to explain things about your vehicle. I go there regularly for oil changes, and Corey, always remembers me. I went to the Cactus and Tatum location for an oil change. This was my second visit. The first one I had a great experience. The appointment was made a week earlier. Now approximately $15,000 and 2 months later, I still don't have my vehicle back from getting the oil changed. To be fair, their insurance is paying the bill. When I got there in my custom built handicap accessible van, they said they were about 2 hours behind. I had a free afternoon so I decided to wait. After explaining the vehicle and telling them not to touch any odd buttons and not to use the hand controls, I felt comfortable they would be careful as they had changed the oil before. I went across the street for lunch. On my way back in my wheelchair, my cell phone rang; it was the manager, Don. He told me that they had a problem and my van had extensive damage and they needed to see me. When I got there, the driver's side of the van was torn apart. I was in shock. I couldn't even get home. Apparently Ed was driving it in and somehow lost control of it and hit the rack that lifts the vehicle up. I have had vans like this for 40+ years and driven back and forth across country with many service people driving the vehicles. I have never had anyone hit anything with one. The manager Don said he had a call into their zone manager, Steve Epler so we could have this taken care of. I finally talked with Mr. Epler and he was at another store and too busy to come and look at my van. I should call a cab and go home and he'd be there later. I spoke with Mr. Epler later in the day after he finally took a look at my van. Mr. Epler is not a personality plus kinda person. When I started asking some questions he told me, "Look, I'm turning this over to our insurance company and we are then out of the loop", that's what we have insurance for. My van was put on a flat bed and towed to a well-known collision shop and Fletchers insurance company adjuster examined it along with their collision damage person. A handicap rental van was approved by their insurance company, but I can't drive it. These vans are specially built to fit. So I was told about three weeks to get it fixed. I asked if I would have it back before the holidays. I was told "long before that". Today in January 11th, It is now two months and my van is still at the collision shop. If I want/need to go anywhere, I have to rely on my friend to drive me in the rental van. Today was my third visit to check on my van and it's still not done. Yes, I'm more than just a bit inconvenienced, I'm bordering on depression. To top things off, I still haven't had my oil changed. Thank you so much Fletchers on Cactus and Tatum, great job putting me is a very difficult position! I must say Fletchers insurance company, American Family Insurance has been fantastic handling this, but the other two parties handling this leave a lot to be desired. When you go for an oil change, you might want to drive your own vehicle into the garage. read more

Even if they did it and I needed them they couldn't do it now (which I could have understood). But to not even be able to check them when you don't close for another hour is ridiculous. My husband and I have been going to this location for a couple years now. Cory has always gone above and beyond for us! Whenever I call, he tries to get us right in. He is fair, honest, and quick! We have moved and there are several other Fletcher's locations closer to our new house; however, we trust Cory to get the job done. I have been taking my care to Fletchers for 5 years while Cory was the manager with great results, After Cory was no longer managing the customer service and the maintenance clearly went down hill. Recently my only day off is Sunday so I was forced to take my car to a different Auto service company where they told me to take it back to the last place I had the oil changed since they could not get the cap off to drain the oil. I did and the service was not good, I had trouble with the starter so I took my car to the Chandler station and it only got worse. I have found a different Auto Service that I will be taking my vehicle to. Too busy to be frustrated over not having my transportation to get to work and bad service. read more

I've been a good customer at Fletcher's and when my 2002 Explorer wasn't handling properly I took it in. I told them that I was tight on funds and just wanted things made right as inexpensively as possible. They told me I needed new struts all around and new control arms. $1700+. I took it to a friend and he pointed out that the control arms are fine (he showed me how to tell) and he pointed out that the rear struts are strong (there was no excess rocking or bounce!). I did some research and he was right! I ordered the front struts and installed them myself for $240. Thanks Fletcher's for your crap estimate. I won't be back. read more

Always realistic with price, time frame, severity of the problem, and not trying to sell me a million and one things my new car doesn't need. Excellent customer service by everyone, but especially Corey. Waiting is convenient with a nice waiting area, snack machines, and if it is going to be too long to sit, they are in a general location to do some shopping. I took my 05 Acura TL to Fletcher's to get a quote for the 105,000 mile service which is, primarily replacing the timing belt and spark plugs. I also had the front and rear break pads replaced. I worked with Jim Glaab, who was a pleasure to work with. I knew what I wanted done and he didn't try to up sell me but worked to get the price where I wanted it to be. I had shopped the service around and he gave me the best price. They did the work just as they said and finished it just as they had promise. I will be using them again. Ask for Jim. read more

My tire blew out super badly it was shredded, impossible to drive even a short distance. I was on cactus road by PV mall when it happened so I walked over to fletcher's to see how much it would be for my car to be towed to them. They could of called a towing company and charged me for their service in taking out my old tire and putting a my spare on, but they didn't. Instead one of the men drove me, in his own car to where my car was parked. He got out, and taught me how to change my tire. He spent time from his own work day to help me out. They didn't charge me anything! I obviously gave him a tip for his help though. I will remember that random act of kindness from this company for a long time, I would recommend them to anyone in need. read more

I went to Discount Tire where I bought the tires and the tires were all under inflated and "like new". The oil change I purchased is just a come on. I take my car to this location for services but go to the dealer every 30000 miles it's maintainance check up. I'll give Fletchers this location high points for friendliness and speed however going back is probably a no. I didn't recognize the people there but I don't appreciate being told I needed services I did not. I came in to have my brakes checked and was told in addition to my rear brakes I needed my fluids flushed, my cabin and other filters changed because "they were really dirty" guess what? I just had all my filters replaced at the dealer 3weeks ago which I told them and the response was "I have seen them get dirty really fast". It so happens i know how to chexk and replace at least one of the filters that was "really dirty". None of the services fletchers said I needed.was in the report from my dealer though the the dealer also reported issue with the suspension system just a different cause. I approved for the brakes get replaced and checked my filter when I got my car back. I still seem to be having issues with my car and my filter was clean. Guess I should have checked the reviews for this last month first! read more

Horrible experience! I called to set up appt and informed them I had the coupon for an oil change of $13.95. They took my name and I was scheduled. I showed up for appt and they said my car only took synthetic oil and the coupon was for a blend so I could not use it. Instead it would cost $59.95 but they would give me $10.00 off but total bill with fees came to $62.00 for oil change. I called my dealership and indeed my car can take a 0w20 blend, Fletcher's lied! Instead of crediting me or fixing it right then, because they did not have time, gave me coupons for a free oil change. He was rude, I spent 4 hours, and the pro rate was not figured correctly. Plus he said that my Road Hazard Warranty is void because I had another shop install new rims. Great customer service, however I was disappointed on the job done to my car. I came in for an oil change, belt replacement, and AC charge. When I got my car back they had done a tire rotation but I now had a low tire. The AC charge cost me $60 but it did not help the AC blow any cooler and caused my car to make a very unsettling rattling noise when idling. The belt must have been adjusted incorrectly because it started to squeal again 2 days after I got it back from being replaced. I called them and they told me to bring it back in so I did. I had to go to work so I let them know my boyfriend and his mother were going to pick it up. They didn't give him any information as to what had to be refixed on the car. I would have definitely appreciated more communication from them and a more thorough job. I don't usually have a negative experience at Fletchers but I don't think I'll be returning to this location. read more

On Christmas Eve, my son's car broke down in the Michaels parking lot adjacent to Fletcher's Tire and Auto Service! My son was in a panic when he called, and asked me what to do. Although I had never used Fletcher's before, I remembered they were in the lot, and told my son to walk over and ask for help. To add to this, my son has Aspergers and has a difficult time talking to strangers. J.R. went out to the car with my son and ran a quick diagnostic even though it was close to closing time. The car could not be started, so Larry and Cory told my son to leave it in the lot, and if he came back on Friday after Christmas, they would not only find out what was wrong, but they would extend a 50% discount on the diagnostic. On Friday, we returned, and not only was the repair quick (a starter relay was needed), but the price was awesome! Larry, Cory and J.R. made what could have been a horrible holiday memory into a great automotive service experience. They were fair, honest, and very friendly...and made my son feel very at ease. I give them a big A+ and will be bringing my other cars to them when I need repairs. Thanks, guys!! read more

We had warranties with Discount Tire but we don't even care. We will always come back here as long as Cory is there. I had my son take my car into Fletchers on Tatum/Cactus after purchasing a groupon for $50. The groupon was supposed to be for a synthetic oil change and tire rotation. They would not do the tire rotation but charged me $30 of labor charges for a tire rotation and "up charged" me an additional $30 for full synthetic oil. After all was said and done, I paid the $50 groupon plus an additional $45, for a grand total of $95 for a synthetic oil change. I spoke to 2 individuals at the Tatum/Cactus location by the name of Don and both gave me 20 different excuses as to why I was charged an additional $45 and a grand total of $95 for a synthetic oil change. I also spoke with the Area Zone manager, Steve and he continued to spew out the same nonsense as to why I was charged this much for a simple synthetic oil change. This place is a COMPLETE SCAM and they are robbing people by UP CHARGING and advertising on groupon. Not once was any of these 3 men nice or getting my point that under NO circumstance should a synthetic oil change cost $95. This place is a joke and you will be sorry if you get your vehicle serviced here! This place does not deserve even 1 star but in order to place a review, I had to give atleast one star, which is far more than it deserves!!! read more

Every time I take my car to this fletchers for an oil change, they call me later that day and explain there's a $300-$500 fix that MUST be done or my car is essentially done for. They ALWAYS made me feel like my car was being held hostage and I had to pay for some expensive repair in order to get it back! Cory the manager told me once that I had to replace my hoses because they were completely busted and needed to be replaced. He said it would cost me $500. He even showed me where there was a little bit of old dried radiator fluid(I'm guessing) on the side of one of the hoses. I have an uncle who is a mechanic so I took it to him for a second opinion. My uncle told me that one of the hose clamps was a little loose and it literally took 15 seconds for him to tighten the hose clamp and it fixed the problem. My uncle said my car hoses were in perfect shape. Fletcher SCAM! Either that or Fletcher mechanics are completely incompetent. Later, I took my car in to get an oil change and JR called me and said that my oil pan threads had been stripped out and that it would be $475 to replace the oil pan. I only take my car to Fletchers for oil changes so I tried to fight them on it and they said it was not their responsibility, but that they'd replace the oil pan for $475. My uncle said he could do it for $150(he wouldn't charge me for labor). I told JR to put the new oil into the car and to plug up the oil pan with an oversized plug and I'd pick it up and take it to my uncles. JR said that his manager (CORY) was not comfortable with that and that they(fletcher's) could either replace the oil pan or I would have to have my car towed away. I had AAA come tow my car away and when the AAA guy lifted my car onto his flatbed tow truck, oil from my car spilled everywhere onto his truck bed because Fletchers hadn't emptied out all the old oil, nor plugged it up with anything. Luckily the AAA guy was a good sport about it and was super helpful. Another time I took my wife's car in for an oil change and Cory said they wouldn't rotate the tires because the tires were too worn. After going in and seeing the tires myself, I admit to seeing a little wear, but not to the extent Cory had exaggerated. He then tried to sell me four new tires and an alignment which would run me around $700. I could go on. The reason I kept taking my car to Fletchers for oil changes is because I have a prepaid oil change card I bought so my oil changes are "free" (already paid for). Cory the manager even told me once that I can just bring my car in for free oil changes once all my oil changes are used up. I used to think he was just being a nice guy, but now I know that they will do anything to get people to bring their cars in so they(Fletchers) can tinker and mess around with your engine and find out how they can charge you for a repair that doesn't need to be done. Don't take your car here! I promise your car will leave Fletchers worse off because of all the messing around they do to your engine. I swear, every time Cory or one of the other scammers call me and tell me I need to make an expensive repair to my car and I tell them NO, I leave Fletchers with my car sounding and feeling weird and just off as opposed to when I bring it in. If you're not an expert on cars (which I'm not) or have a trustworthy uncle who will fix your car for you (like I do), Fletchers will easily SCAM money from you for repairs you probably do not need. Get someone else to change your oil or learn how to change it yourself like I do now. Lastly, after the oil pan fiasco I was talking to a buddy of mine who is a huge car guy and an excellent mechanic. I told him about all the problems I had had at Fletchers on Tatum and Cactus and my buddy told me that he had heard from several other people that the Fletchers on tatum and Cactus were SCAMMERS and to NEVER take my car there again. It's sad because I bet not all Fletcher's are like this but I've had such a bad experience with Fletchers on Cactus and Tatum that I will never go back to any Fletchers.
