They were easily able to tell whether or not it was patchable; then, when they found a potential second issue (dry rot!), they pulled me into the shop to show me exactly what they were talking about, and what could potentially happen when they pull the tire off to fix it. I did end up getting two new tires - but they were so informative, answering all my questions, and physically showing me the car/tire so I could learn for the future. When it came to replacing the tires, they told me all the different price points and, even pointed out what tires I currently had (even when they were one of the cheaper options). I never felt upcharged or like they were trying to get more work out of me.

There were 2 ladies at the reception desk who were less than friendly. We had been to a couple other places before for an estimate and they were super friendly in comparison (Treads near Dadeland and Perez Auto on Bird Road). After waiting one hour (they had told us no more than 30 minutes) I saw the car parked so I asked one of the ladies the status. She said, very huffily, we are trying to contact bmw for the parts price. This without telling us what the issue was. Well, in the end the cost was close to 1200 for non bmw parts. The other place (Perez) quoted us $800. And they took less than 15 minutes for a free estimate. These people wanted $45 for the estimate but they didn't tell us that before. Of course we didn't pay. And we took the car to Perez. You really do have to get at least 3 estimates. The first two never charged us and took less than 15 minutes. I do not think I will go to Miller Auto Care in the future.
