I was tired of being robbed and lied to by other mechanics. This time, when my engine seized from overheating, I tried fixing it myself by replacing the hose that had blown. My car was not the same afterwards. It sounded horrible and shook like there was no tomorrow. The new hose was not the cause of this new symptom. There was something more horrid going on with the overheated engine. I believed it was done for. A friend recommended that I take it to El Mago del Ponche. They had done some minor work in my car before but nothing this major. I was hesitant about taking it to them and being told the engine was shot and that I had to drop another $800 or more into a new engine. I seriously thought about selling it just to avoid dealing with the expense of a new engine. To my surprise, I was overwhelmed when the owner (Javier) called me and said that my car didn't have any major issue. Only that water had gone into the spark plugs and it had to be removed. They could have said something different and charged me anywhere upwards of $100, $200 or even $300 and I would have gladly payed it. Instead, they fixed the problem and charged me only $60. Upon arrival I noticed that their really is not any parking so I just pulled up and I was greeted and asked about my issue. They literary repaired the tire in a matter of minutes.
