I had my breaks replaced. 2 days later my car started rattling. I returned and they said I needed to replace the driveshaft center bracket. I said ok. I called the next day. They said they're still looking for the part. The second day they said that the work was being done. It was another Cadillac. I had to leave and go to another mechanic. Really bad customer service... Called in to get a quote to replace my A/C compressor and when I got there I was told that price isn't valid. You don't get much more local than this, Mr Nunez owns 3 shops in the area that are mechanics and tire shoos..... He used to own 5 gas stations but got out of that business years ago. He comes to work each day because it keeps him alive and he loves people. It's rare to find a local business like this that cares about customers like family and is QUICK to take care of people and help them get back on the road.... These guys are absolutely top notch. Ever since getting retardedly wide tires put on my car it seems like I've been running over nails and getting flats every month. Fortunately for me, I just swing by Nunez Tire and they patch everything like new for $10. I've never had to wait and the techs have always seemed very competent at what they do. From what I understand they also offer brake service and oil changes though I haven't tried either of those services here. As far as tires go though, you can't beat their service and prices. read more

Went to my usual place Tire City for used tires for my truck. They didn't have my size and referred me to Nunez Tires. When I pulled up the place was busy. And as a woman that doesn't speak Spanish I can tell you I felt a little intimidated walking in. This is not Pep boys. This is like organized chaos. The first mechanic didn't speak English but quickly called someone else to help me. This man was so nice and really made me feel at ease. He invited me to sit in their air conditioned office. The office is small and dirty but cool. It took some time to find the right size for my truck. And while waiting I met the owner Carlos and we chatted he was also very sweet asking me several times if I wanted water, cafe con leche, pastelitos. I met two customers while I was waiting that said Carlos was a very honest and will always have the best deal on tires new and used. Anyways they had my tires and the price was amazing. I left the shop feeling satisfied with the service they provided and they were #1 in customer service. So don't let the looks and chaos intimidate you. City of Miami: regular hellhole or the most godforsaken place on Earth? A valid question in my 11 month stint here. Mercifully there's Nunez's to tilt the balance (and balance any tilts). When your tires succumb (inevitably) to the poorly maintained roads or demonically possessed drivers running you into canals, go to the place where everyone knows your name...or would if you spoke Spanish. But that's okay--the two times I went my monolingualism wasn't held against me, and for that I am grateful. I don't like this city but I do like Nunez's. Quick service, friendly staff, and a refreshing reprieve from the narcissism, inequality, and poverty of spirit Miami offers up on the regular. read more

I was towed here from two flats on you guessed it I95 (or as I call the swiss cheese highway). They patched up my tires in about 1 hour. The service was OK. The big problem for me is that I don't speak Spanish and this was a very spanish speaking business. That being said they were efficient and got the job done. read more

Wife went while I was at work. They charged her $37 for conventional oil on a four cylinder vehicle. No work bill was given, detailing the service performed nor the oil they used. Just a CC receipt. If something goes wrong, only proof she went there is a Credit Card receipt, which they can claim it was for something else other than the oil change... Horrible experience! I had the bad luck of getting a flat tire about 1 block from this shop and took my car there. I PAID FOR NEW tires; however, the owner TRIED TO SLIP USED tires that even had a white sticker placed on them. I wouldn't have even noticed had not one of the mechanics discretely to whom I am very grateful warned me. He must've figured that I, a woman, would not have noticed and he was right. When I told the owner that since I paid for new tires, I wanted him to take me to his stock new tires so that I could select them; he became belligerent and questioned why I didn't trust him. Ultimately, another mechanic stepped in and urged him to not try to take advantage of me just because I am a woman. Even worse was that he improperly installed the tires in bad faith. So much so that when I was driving away, the tires were loose and wobbling badly. STAY AWAY especially if you are a woman, as the owner will likely try to take advantage of you. I don't have enough great things to say about this place. I had to move from Miami back to St. Louis, and just as I hit the 826 to head back home my car blew a rear tire. Horrible timing, but I was so lucky that a local gas station recommended Nunez Tire to me! The tire unfortunately was not able to be fixed (huge razor cut the tread), but the owner (who is an incredibly nice person!) was able to locate two Michelin PS4s for me in 295/30/20 immediately at his shop (HRE wheels on a BMW M4). I went ahead and replaced both rear tires at the same time, and they had it all done in 90 minutes and I was back on my way! Absolutely incredible, the owner and all the people working for him could not have been nicer. As well, even though I was moving away, they treated me like I was a long time repeat customer, and charged me a price that was beyond fair. A lot of places would have taken advantage of me, but not Nunez Tire! I drove the 1,250 miles back home after leaving the store, and the car was absolutely a tank and rock solid. They fixed my problem fast, did the job perfectly, and charged me an incredibly fair price. If you're in the Miami area I cannot recommend this place enough to you, I'm just sorry I'm in St. Louis now and won't be able to use them. Please though, use them for me and you won't regret it!
