Fast response from the owner. They picked my truck up, gave a reasonable price estimate. What got me where the positive reviews. Truck was finished 1 day earlier. I can personally see why he has his great rating !!! Ty read more

Here's a fun update... it's been 8 days since I picked up my car (and traveling for 5 of those days without driving my car), and I'm sitting in the parking lot of a Circle K, waiting for another tow... because, you guessed it, my transmission has done the same thing it did before I brought to AAction. I would have guessed the ink on 1-year warranty would have dried before I'd need to use it. Sadly, that isn't the case. Now, I'll need to pay to rent a car for another multi-day stint with AAction. (I don't suppose they'd be gracious enough to pick up the tab for continued inconvenience)... needless to say, I'm not terribly satisfied with AAction Better Built Transmissions right about now... read more

They wrongly fired a technician for showing someone's transmission was working fine and the evil advisor should be sued by him. That advisor should pay back the 3,850$ back to the woman's transmission for her older ford edge read more

It's been about 2.5 years since these predators tried to con me by telling me I needed a new transmission. It just needed fluid. The car is still driving great. I'm going to record a video of me driving past this place and waving to these grifters in my perfectly fine car. read more

One year and one month to a transmission rebuild the transmission is failing. They only cover for one year $4000 dollars later and the transmission is having issues again. Do not I repeat do not go here. It was highly recommended by a friend, they were wrong. It was not a cheap job and they half assed it. I'm looking into jasper installers or another company. Save your money go elsewhere. Additionally, the transmission pan is leaking they just siliconed the hell out of it and crossed their fingers. I wish they would have stood by their work but they don't. read more

Friendly owner !!! Friendly owner !!! With good knowledge on transmission s. Friendly owner !!!

Charged me 150$ for a 30 dollar transmission filter, wanted 169$ to do an assessment. In all the transmission service was 550$. Whoever says on yelp that they got help from this place for 150$ I don't see how. They want 170 just to look at your vehicle. Make sure to ask lost of questions any time your looking for car service, What parts are needed in the service? How much do you charge for parts? (Price the parts yourself, once identified) Is there a diagnostic fee, is it applied if service is required/provided? Then shop the job around... read more

I just spent 45 minutes writing a 5 Star a review of the excellence I received at Action Transmission on Commerce Lane in South Miami. It however seems to have failed to post. Frustrating like most things. I do not have time now to go back over all that previous post entailed. However I would be remiss if I did not make sure that Jose gets the recognition he deserves because my visit to him was anything but frustrating!!!! For once I experienced joy!! Short version: Jose was able to, within 15 mins of my arrival, resolve my situation & have me back on the road safely. It took him a mere 2 mins to look & put his finger on the problem (literally). I had already been to the dealer. They said they could not fix immediate problem. I needed to leave the car for at least a week & the fix would cost~$3600. Jose did it in 2 minutes. Did not charge me a thing. He said if I brought car back he could check & see what caused it. Because of all the confidence he gave me by skillfully & without much thought resolving that problem which was related to the same issue I had for months being trying to get diagnosed at the dealership with no luck for over 6 visits, I decided to back for his diagnosis. I chose to do the work there because of my faith in Jose and the owner Les. I was told upfront how much the parts cost which had to be ordered from Lexus-motors for convertibles on a model they haven't made in over 5 yrs are not around. I was given a time frame. I brought the car in on Tuesday was told Saturday. I already knew it was labor intensive and it did take to Monday @11am. However the labor rate & # of hours was lower than the dealership so I saved about $600 from what dealer estimated. I liked dealing directly with Jose. He is trustworthy & an excellent mechanic, motor specialist extraordinaire! Les kept me appraised of everything. I got referral recommendations also on other items I wanted to upgrade. I am very happy I went there. It was not a transmission issue but what they know goes beyond just transmissions. They are intelligent. read more

Brought in my Honda Civic due to shuttering and stuttering between 10-40 mph. Oscar test drove my car and let me know that it was a torque converter and transmission issue. Stephan then test drove it with Oscar and confirmed the problem. They broke down what needed to be done and explained everything to me. They quoted me a price and charged me that price, no hidden charges. They had my car done in 2 days. Drives like new and so happy that I chose to Aaction Transmissions! Everyone was super helpful and informative. Cannot have asked for better service. Al, Oscar, and Stephan are amazing! Highly recommend. read more

After a failed "transmission rebuild" by my "ex"-mechanic, the team at "AAction Transmission" got my 1985 Jeep CJ7 back on the road. It took a little longer than originally promised but the Jeep is almost 35 years old. I survived the wait. Thanks Les and Jose! read more

I went to Action Transmission - at the recommendation of a friend who said it was the best place for transmission repair in the area - in the second week of December, 2019, when I noticed that the transmission in my 2015 Kia Sportage was slipping. I was not disappointed by the response I got. The shop was planning to close shortly for the Holiday period, but they fit me into their schedule despite a considerable backlog of business. They completely rebuilt my transmission in only 1 day at a very reasonable price, allowing me to visit my family during Christmas in the Washington, D. C. area. More importantly, the transmission has worked perfectly since. Thank you, Action Transmission, for a job well done. read more
