This is a quality team, diligent in getting to the bottom of an issue, they explain what needs to be done and why, and they stand behind their work in the very unlikely event that is needed. They saved the day for me 2x! I have a Volvo with apparently hard to find tires. After getting a flat, I went to Bomnin Volvo and the wait was absurd. Another customer at Volvo suggested I try Dixie Auto Service. They ordered my tire and it arrived next day to be put on my car. I got another flat that required a new tire, tried Bomnin Volvo again because they were the only place that said they had my tire in stock but even after making an appointment they said it would be 3.5 hours before they could put the tire on. I called Dixie Auto and was relieved to hear that they would put the tire on my car and within an hour I was out with my new tire on. I'm so grateful. read more

My husband called to ask for a quote today and they were horribly rude. The first thing he did was complain about how many people were breaking down during his lunch break. He then proceeded to ask for our car's VIN number and when my husband kindly asked if he should text our read out the number he got frustrated with my husband and asked "can you talk". Not only is this a frustrating situation to have your car break down but to get attitude from a place that has such great reviews it's frustrating. He said that he would call right back and never did. As a small business owner I really want to be supportive but it's really not that hard to be kind and helpful. read more

DONT GET YOUR WORK DONE HERE!!! They'll STEAL YOUR STUFF Not getting into major details because I don't do drama. Just had a few hundred dollars worth of stuff taken from my vehicle. Before leaving, I tried to resolve the situation and they did a poor job at handling it and coming up with a good solution. The manager just kept vouching for his employees that were in the garage while he was in his office. Long story short, Had to get the cops involved, Just to get the employee handling my car to get involved with the whole convo. I never used yelp to make a complaint against any company or person. But just felt I had to post this here, Bc for me, Finding a good mechanic that won't rip you off (let alone steal from you) has always been a bit of a hassle. Hopefully this helps for those that fear total strangers going through your stuff. read more

These guys were really incredible. They couldn't fix my Vespa scooter because they didn't have the parts. But they were extremely kind and helped me find another place that could help me out. They let me store my Vespa there for a day and even tried to fix it. They genuinely want to help and you can tell they are passionate and aren't like many slimy mechanics. Andre even gave me a ride all the way to south beach with my Vespa in his truck, where another mechanic was, it would have cost a fortune to tow it and I had no other way to move the thing. When I tried to offer him some money he refused and just asked that I do something nice for someone else. These were really great people and I would highly recommend them. read more

My car was not starting properly, nor was the air conditioning working correctly. I have a long commute to work and was very concerned that I would have trouble starting my car at the end of a long shift. Everyone at Dixie Auto was great. They took the car right away, diagnosed the problems the next day, kept me informed about the cost of repair, and completed all of the work quickly. I never felt pushed by them, nor did I ever feel that they took advantage of me. They are knowledgeable, respectful, efficient and understanding. Following that repair, a different issue arose with the air bag and they immediately researched the issue, guided me in how to handle the situation with the dealer where I purchased the car, and followed up with me to check on the progress. The techs here are very knowledgeable and almost willing to fix anything you need. Brought in my lowered Lexus RCF in to get my front spoiler re-bolted. They were able to accommodate my low car and found a way to get it on a lift. Prices very reasonable as well. Will be coming here in the future. read more

I'm a young female living in Coral Gables, and i had a VERY positive experience here. My car needed a new battery, oil change, and a tire rotation. Everyone was kind, helpful, non intimidating, and spoke perfect English. This place was not sketchy at all and right next to a Chipotle. I got an appointment same day, and they stayed open two hours late so i could pick it up Friday night. I also felt like i was charged fairly, which isnt always the case with mechanics. disappointed .... I called to get my antique car serviced and looked at. I was told that they where full and to call back in two weeks once they had spaced to keep inside and work on it to get out quickly. . I called two weeks after and they said they were ready for me to bring in. after making my list of things needed I left. stopped by a week after and they hadn't touched it. I was told they would start on it. stopped by the 2nd week to find out that they hadn't touched it again but was told that it would start next week. went by the 3rd week only to see car hadn't been touched. after 3weeks I gave up and took the car away. don't know why I was told to bring in if they weren't going to touch car, very disappointed in this company. felt like a kid being promised something every week to only find out I was being lied too..... I have seen this shop and driven by it for so many years, finally had a need and it was just a nail in the tire. It's a hidden gem. Lovely people, very nice local shop and super nice service. I know it sounds like nothing to patch a tire, but you would be surprised at how rude and nasty some of the shops could be when you come in. Don't expect a beautiful fancy waiting area, but it has all the perks with courtesy coffee and you're also within walking distance to some nice food places. If you like classic cars, you're probably guaranteed to see a few and that was a nice perk. The wait was not bad at all. Got to work right on time. I know that's the luck of the draw, but they really know how to prioritize the work. Super happy and would keep going back. read more

Andre and Bob have a specialty of keeping older cars running in tip top condition. They always manage to find the necessary parts to make the repairs at a very fair price. They truly care and we are so lucky to have this business in our community. P.S. i just purchased a new Honda that uses nitrogen to fill the tires. I got a low pressure warning light in my tire and I called the Honda dealer that sold the car to me, and they did not care enough to stock the nitrogen that Honda recommends to fill their tires. I took my car over to Dixie Auto and on the spot, Bob got out the tank of nitrogen and filled my tire. It later turned out I had a roofing nail in the tire, so they patched it correctly from the inside and filled it with nitrogen. They have saved us so many times over the years!!! read more

In this situation, my mechanic was on vacation ,literally. so I had to force my hand at another route of getting my Cruisers health back in order. Dixie Auto was where I had been referred Andre and the team, made me feel like family.welcomed me, diagnosed my problem after much effort in its diagnosis, and with the skill of a doctor gently repaired my wiring harness and power supply.As well Andre took the time to explain to me the process, during diagnosis and repair. I took my car today to get it checked because my AC stopped working, I was told I would get a call to learn what was wrong but didn't hear anything so I called at 2:30pm but I was told that they hadn't had a chance to see it and that I would get a call back. At 3:59pm I called again since I hadn't heard anything and once again I was told they still hadn't checked the car and I would get a call back. Then at 5:13pm I called again because I was leaving work and needed an answer but I was told then would check again and would call me back. At 5:33pm I received a call from Junior letting me know my compressor was broken and fixing it would cost me $1,700 which I do not have so I didn't proceed with the work. The only reason I am giving this place 2 stars is because of Bob. He is the person that seats at the front desk and he was kind and respectful of me. I do not think I was given a fair price and I do not think making me wait until the last minute was respectful. The person that checked my car took 20 minutes to do so then gave me such an outrageous price to fix it. Needless to say, I won't ever go back. Bob gets five stars! read more

Horrible, went this morning for a simple Tire Valve Change, big dude wit tats tells me $35, was about to do it but when I told him I have a guy that does it for $10 he looks at me and says "ok then go do it with him." Got my s**t and left. No wonder nobody was there. Took my tire to Shell on 97th and 88th Street and got it done for $13.39 after taxes! Won't ever go back to this place! read more

Each time I have brought the car there (a total of 4 times now), even for something like a simple oil change, the car has been kept for 2-5 days. The office does not call to give updates on the car - I always have to call them. Was charged $300 dollars for a diagnostic test on the engine this last time, and the problems were not even fixed. An auto shop can be cheap and slow or expensive and fast. But to be expensive and slow is an appalling nightmare. Will not be taking our cars there again. read more
