Wow what a classy operation. My battery died so I came in to get it checked. Jose waited on me. Such a personable individual. I explained that I just had my oil changed 2 days ago and asked my mechanic to check the battery because it was giving me issues. I was advised that it was fine. And here we are today with a dead battery. I made the comment to Jose, I wonder if they even changed my oil. Jose checked and it appeared it was not. In fact while he changed the he took out the oil filter to show me how dirty it really was. Yuck. Well, my relationship with this Goodyear location certainly didn't last long! A few weeks ago my indicator light came on, showing it was time for an oil change. By chance, I also got a coupon from Goodyear, reminding me that I had purchased a 3 year alignment package from this place and could come every 6 months to have it checked and adjusted. They also offered $5 off an oil change. I booked my usual oil change and complimentary multi-point inspection. When I got here, the guy told me the oil change I booked wouldn't work for my vehicle and tried to bump me up 2 levels, to an oil change that was more than twice the price of what I'd requested - mind you, I don't have a high-performance vehicle. I asked to bump up 1 level of oil quality from what I'd originally requested. He told me that wasn't good enough and somewhat threateningly said that he was going to make a comment in my account, stating I was going for a lesser grade than he'd suggested and if there were any problems with my car or the engine failed, they would not be responsible. Sadly, though I came to Goodyear to get away from the high pressure sales of regular automotive dealerships, my car dealership offers more attractive pricing than Goodyear now that he was trying to sell me on higher and higher grades of oil and being borderline threatening if I didn't go with his suggestion. I looked at the price again that he was trying to push me toward and considered that, even with the $5.00 coupon I got from Goodyear, my dealership was cheaper. I asked him to cancel the transaction and I walked out. If my dealership tells me I need an alignment during my appointment there, I'll return here to Goodyear for that, as I've already paid $149 for 3 years of alignment services during a prior visit. I am SUPER happy with my new Goodyear tires. I was riding on an inferior tire for the last two sets and decided to upgrade. I had NO IDEA what a difference a set of quality tires would make for the ride. It's like night and day. The truck felt like it had no suspension before at all. Now, I feel like it's how your ride should be. I don't feel like I hit every single bump on the ride, instead, I lightly bounce over it all. So smooth! Never buying cheap tires again. I stopped in for a quote the other day, they could not email or print me the details of the quote so the total was written on a business card, but I recall the individual price of the tires as they were the same price as another location but the difference in prices was for the labor/service. If you are a woman or a man with no experience of car mechanics I would stay away. I went to have a punctured repair on my back tire, the goodyear salesperson told me the tire was not good enough to be repaired and needed to be changed he suggested I changed the other one too so they would be the same plus alignment he quoted me over 500 dollars. I went to another tire repair place, where they proceeded to repair the tire and when I asked about prices to get new tires they said no worry about this I didnt need to change them yet. I hardly use my car only use it for pleasure not even to commute. It is a shame people behave this way, to try to price you up to try to skin you even though it is not needed. Words of advice....make an appointment. While I was waiting for my oil change, the line for walk in customers was growing longer and longer; the staff was telling people that the wait is significant. That's being said, my oil change was smooth like butter. The price was what I expected to pay, no up charges or random fees. I placed EXACTLY my auto information and specifications of my car and tires on their website. The estimate on the site came at $624.89. When I went to the store, the clerk confirmed my total to be $621.00. Then I leave my car and 20 minutes later, I get a call that these were the "wrong tires" and the price went up for tires that were on the lot. One thing I despised is that they give me a price and then they later call me to tell me that the price has drastically increased. And the manager of this store told me that it was the customer's fault. He stated that I placed the wrong specifications on the site AND it was the customer's fault. First rule of customer service, never, ever tell that its the customer's fault. Your reputation will exceed you to have a bad place in business. I DO NOT recommend this place. So I hate these places. I like going to the mom and pop spots where things are simple. I come in, I tell you what I need, I get out! No hassle, and if they happen to bring something up, I can say no and that would be the end of it. Today though, I took the time to shop around for an full synthetic oil change and ended up here surprisingly. A lot of the people around where I live were charging me a minimum $100 for the oil change, but Good Year quoted me $85 after taxes. I show up and this place is slammed, but nevertheless I had some time to kill so I decided to come in and they quoted me 2 and a 1/2 hours. So I sit and wait. Here comes the sales pitch. Pedro, the customer service attendant, approached me and started his pitch and I interrupted him with "I'm just here for an oil change, but thank you". He instantly smiled and asked me to join him in the mechanics bay. Once we were by my car, he asked If I was familiar with the mechanics of a car and I responded yes. He starts pointing out the various things that were wrong. From the wires showing on one of my tires, to the broken rubber on the windshield wipers, to one side of my front breaks grinding metal to metal cause of how wasted the breaks were. He then sat me down and went through my options, from most expensive to cheapest. Instead of jumping in to the most expensive options, he asked what I did for a living, how much I drive, how much is city, how often I change my oil, ect. This is the first time someone has asked me all these questions. For the first time, I felt like a place really cared about the customer rather then just making money on how much they could upsell you. After selecting the options, he gave me the quote and I thanked him saying I will hold on to it and come back when I had the money, which prompted him to ask about having their credit card. My initial response was no but then I remembered that I had lost the card once upon a time and never replaced it, but to check if it was still active. He called and informed me that it was still active and that I have a high limit. Again, the norm that I'm used to is that he would've kept upselling me and now adding on more stuff to max out my credit card or get near that. Instead, we started talking about how I could save money and not put too much on the card and what discounts he could find for me. Once he found whatever he could, he wouldn't proceed with anything until I was comfortable with the price, what I selected and the amount of time I would take. Once I discussed it with my girl, I made sure to tell him I was good to go and he proceeded to process everything and get to work on the car. I gotta say, this was very pleasant and refreshing. If you're in the gables area and need someone to you can trust that won't steer you wrong, visit this location and talk to Pedro. He will definitely take care of you and you vehicle! read more

I have been coming here since I got my first car in 2006. I find that they are a little pricey, but that have always done such a good job on my car. I feel that they have always been fair. I have only had one bad experience where an employee tried to get me to commit to over $700 worth of repairs that my car didn't need. I have come back several times and have not seen that employee anymore. You can make appointments online for this location. The earliest available is 9:00, however the open at 7:00 am and I get there as soon as they open. They usually take you right away. There is coffee and a tv to watch. While I wrote that glowing review, I had to go back to get some warr. work done on a car I just replaced a tire on. There was a screw too close to the sidewall, and I had to replace instead of patching, which is fine. But, I noticed the car was pulling to the right after the tire was changed (front right). The six days later when I had time, I asked about my 12 month warr. on the alignment I got 9 months ago. I was told - "it's only a 6 month warr. on alignments...". I showed the weekend manaer the invoice which stated it was 12 months, as I was even told when I paid for 4 new tires and the alignment. The manager stated, there was no warranty....yet the form stated it. Here is my point, why stress someone out, who is a good customer, and then state the warr. is not valid, when it's stated on the a document, which you gave the customer originally. I hope this was an off day for them, as I have been going here for 12 years. In the end, the work was done "under warr.", but why tell me something that's not true - I mean I can read. Please keep your paper work, as situations can change. In their defense, the new warr. for alignments is 6 months, but the when I got mine it was 12, so how could they not know when the policy changed, and simply refuse to read and accept a document (?). read more

It never fails, you take your car in for a $30 oil change.... 2 hours later, $300 for oil change, tire rotation, air filter and a $50 diagnosis fee to tell me that they cannot repair my driver side window which occasionally gets stuck. I was led to believe that it would come off the repair fee, I didn't expect them to tell me that they don't repair that problem after they charged to look at it. 15 years ago I had an oil change here and as I drove away my car was smoking. The vehicle had to spend the night so that they could tell me that oil had spilled and was burning off the engine. Shouldn't they have known that right away? read more

Today, they overinflated my tires, even though I didn't go in for tire service. The only thing that got me into the habit of going to them is that they are near my house and a short walk from the 37th Ave metro station, which made getting to and from the office easy when I had to leave my car, there (which is nearly always). I've been here twice and have been pleased both times. The first time was to patch a flat which the employee didn't charge me for. When the time came that I needed to change tires on the same car I called them. They didn't have the tires in stock so they ordered them and had them there the next day. They gave them to me at a better cost than the service department at the dealership I bought the car at. They didn't take long to switch out the tires and align the car. I needed to change all 4 tires and got a estimate for $ 800.00 at Kendall Toyota for my little Scion IQ. I was looking around on internet for a better price. As only Goodyear makes the size for this car I did check them out. They had a special for 583.96. so I made a appointment. I informed them what tire we needed. My husband did go there early to our appointment and they only had two tires of that size. So he had to go the next day again. The the price was $ 789.57 that was charged. Very expensive for such a little car. and the special was Tire Installation for free but at the end The Alignment was so expensive so no deal. Just a trap. Sad read more

Went today to simply have them repair a tire and a guy named "Kevin" tells me that they didn't have patches and that I needed to wait 4 hours. So why they are open? Why he hasn't order patches for future customers coming in with the same challenge? This is like if a burger place runs out meat. My advice to anyone trying to use this location? Just go to the location in Pinecrest, the guys are nicer and even more professional that the mediocre team at this location on Bird Road. They always seem to carry a bad attitude. I drove for about 40 minutes to get here(I took the wrong way, of course, typical me!! lol)... So, I needed to get my car checked out bc it had been making a weird noise when I braked. I searched for a Goodyear location on my Maps & this one(although far from where I live) seemed to be the one w/ the best reviews. So what does a Yelper do? Go with the better reviews option, of course!!! Well, I called & the gentleman on the phone(who's name I later found out is "Kevin") was pleasant, seemed genuinely concerned w/ my issue, & invited me to pass by to get my car examined at no charge. I'm not even mad at the fact I drove this far today. Turns out to be that the screeching noise my car has been making is due to my front/ back brakes needing to be replaced ASAP, my tires also had issues, & I got a great deal on the brakes and 4 brand new tires. The guys at the front counter(Kevin & Petros) were very respectful & polite to me. The lobby area is clean w/ enough seating & a TV to keep you entertained while you wait. There's also a table w/ coffee buttttt NO CREAMER, lol! Now see, a girl like me enjoys just a little coffee w/ my CREAM, get it? Lol!
