I managed to get a same day appointment here after discovering my front driver's side tire was cracked all the way around. Even though my original Firestone tires have been discontinued, the store has a different set that was close to the all season tires I bought in 2017. So a couple of things here: 2017 is a LONG time to drive on any tires. I don't drive a lot but the Arizona heat is brutal. The fact they survived this long is an impressive testament to Firestone's quality. Also, I received a veteran's discount, which I really appreciate. Mike and John were both wonderful professional, kind, and funny. I enjoyed the service, and I have no complaints. Oh, but something important to note: my father in law came with me to put these tires on his line of credit (so I can pay him back), and his APR went up to 39%. If you're someone who lives off credit cards right now to make ends meet, I'd recommend thinking a bit before applying for that credit card. I don't feel 39% is worth the value, even if you do need this work done. Aside from all that though, this was still a 5/5 star experience. read more

Customer service. I had an appointment at 1pm and informed them that I would be out and about and to please contact me when my car is done. The guy said ok. This firstone place closes at 5pm. So I left and ran some errands.I got back to the fFrstone by 430 pm and asked if my car was ready. They asked for my name and said my car hasn't even been looked at. I was upset and frustrated. My car sat for over 3 hours and not even moved. They said they called me and left a message. I told them that I never received no calls and thats why I was here. The person then repeated my cell number to me and I said yes that that was my number. I then said that Ive been waiting for their call for over 3 hrs!! I did not get a call!! I then said wow and that I will take my vehicle and get it serviced somewhere else. I then asked for my keys. Did I can an apology? No!! Did I get a sorry? No!!! The person that I spoke to was young, the person doing the servicing was young. And to top it off they were both on their phones when I walked in. They saw me come in and not one of them not even acknowledged for 5-10 minutes!!! What kind of service is this?? I will tell you what the problem is. 1st acknowledge who comes in. Be polite say hello and be professional. How can I help you or what can we do for you today? 2nd acknowledge the appointment and if your are too busy state that appointment may go over and we would understand. 3rd give us an estimation of completion time so we atleast have an idea of how long it may be. 4th Follow through!! Give us a call and CONFIRM that you called us! Not just say we called and left a message!!!! I did not get a call at all!!! Stop lying!! 5 if the car cannot or will not be able to be serviced within a certain time slot or in the day tell us!!! Call us!! Text us!! And apologize!!! Its that simple. The two that worked that day need to be looked at (via camera system) and see what they were doing throughout the whole day. Whats the point of an appointment if you cant do it!! This was a bad experience and so frustrating. I will be speaking to a manager if not corporate. If I could leave less than one star, I would. I made an appointment specifically for a muffler inspection -- nothing more, nothing less. My appointment was scheduled for 11:00, and when I arrived, I was told it would take an hour. How does a simple muffler inspection take an hour, especially when I had a scheduled appointment? Absolutely unacceptable experience at Firestone Complete Auto Care. I scheduled a wheel alignment for Saturday--in advance--and was given no indication by the person taking the appointment that there might be any issue with staffing or availability. I even dropped the car off three hours early as a courtesy. Still, no mention of being short-handed. I stopped by an hour later to confirm pricing--again, no heads-up that the work wouldn't be done. Four hours after I dropped off my vehicle, I finally received a call saying they were short-staffed and couldn't get to my car at all. If I had been told this earlier, I would have called other locations or made different arrangements. I took time off work for this appointment, which clearly meant nothing to them. To make matters worse, I spoke with two different employees--neither of whom had a clue what was going on. When I finally asked for the manager, he handed me his card and said, "It won't change anything." Seriously? Then, when my wife mentioned calling corporate, he actually said, "Okay. Maybe you should take your car somewhere else." That's exactly what we'll do. Zero accountability. Zero communication. And clearly, zero respect for customers' time. Horrible. I stopped to get my tires' air checked. After the front desk told me to pull up to one of the bays next to another car already getting their tires checked,he walked out, ignored me. The 1 tech finished checking the other cars tire, looked right at me & walked over to another tech to chat. These techs started talking and just ignored me. I got out of my car and asked if I could please get my tires checked. The one tech gave a dirty look and said 'yea, in a second'. THEN, the other tech had me move my car over and just started filling my tires- didn't even check my vehicle's specific tire pressure!!! I was at their mercy, I needed a tire, I needed to get to work in the morning. They were slammed busy and could not fit me in but I am willing to wait all day if I need to I needed a tire. He came out and looked at my flat, although I did have a donut on and said I could leave the bad tire with them and they would call me when ready. PERFECT I can do that. I took my car in fir an oil change last weekend. They called me 1 hr later to tell me my car needed a new battery which I know it didn't because my battery is just under a year old. 2 hours later it's ready, so I go pick it up and the guy that helped me apologizes and says the technician pressed the wrong button on the computer and my battery is good. I said, I know my battery is fine. I just want people especially women to be aware of this place. These guys tried to scam me. Also they left oil stains on the interior of my car everywhere and I need to have it professionally cleaned. Very very upsetting. I will never use these people again! read more

Ladies beware? Not sure how to start this lol. Sister took her car in for an alignment because they have that "lifetime alignment" promotion. I then get a call explaining that the folks at Firestone are claiming her rear alignment is out and needs a kit to fix it (this is 100% accurate for FWD vehicles.) However sounded highly suspicious to a person like myself who worked at small shops like this and now works in the Commercial Auto Repair Industry. So I call over to the location on her behalf and begin to ask more detailed questions, like "is the toe too far in or out?".."what's the spec to be in the green?"...."ok so what are the numbers on the printout?". Well all the sudden, Josh wants me to hold while he goes n gets the paperwork and when he returns, MAGIC. The machine messed up and actually my sister does not in fact need absolutely anything done to correct her rear alignment. OK, so now the front is still pulling insanely hard to the left. They say, tire tire tire, ITS THE TIRE. Does anyone bother to inspect the brakes to see if a caliper might be hung up just a little on a rotor causing this hard pull? NOPE, Sister and Mom took it in twice and on neither one of those visits did they do anything but check alignment readings and say TIRE. Oh we're not done just yet......Josh was polite enough to offer to send me the readout via email so I can see for myself. However all I got was a printout for A NEW TIRE. Then I get an auto-generated Survey the company would like filled out.....I filled it out very honestly and rationally. Which (as most franchises require) I receive a call from Josh because his is the Manager or Assistant Manager and long story short, this guy has the audacity to say during our very polite conversation, and I quote! "Well I know more about auto repair then you do, soooo" Oh boy, the thoughts ran through my head and then quickly told myself "NOPE, not worth it!" Really Josh?! I've been in the repair business for over a decade and I have never heard someone say that kind of crap to someone. In my case, it's highly unlikely to even be true, but regardless, so incredibly disrespectful in the customer service industry. Welp, after you've now read my saga about this sad little store in this far far away town. You might be happy to know I reached out to a buddy (since my shops equipment is for big rigs and not cars) and we found out the caliper was in fact pressing the brake pad very slightly onto the rotor while driving which prematurely wore out the pad but thankfully we were able to machine the rotors n save $$ there. I have two vehicles of my own, and there's absolutely no way I'd ever visit ANY Firestone, and especially never visiting the one in Maricopa.....I'd gladly take it to the fine people over at Iconic who are a whopping like .2 miles away and also part of the Goodyear Network which I personally prefer anyways. My sister had taken her car here for an electrical test as her car was no longer starting. she had made an appointment and her car sat in the lot for days not being touched. When they finally got to looking at it, they informed her she had a bad battery. she took the old battery and got a new one under warranty from another shop and took the new one back to this location. after a couple more days of not hearing anything, she went in to find out what was going on. she was surprised to see her new battery sitting in the lobby under where they store the keys and only after bringing it up did, they go ahead and put it in. after installing it they still couldn't get the vehicle to start. when she went to pick up the vehicle they informed her to get it to start they had to mess with the terminal wires and told her to take it to a dealership to get it tested. they still charged her for an electrical test and the vehicle was taken to AAMCO where they found the problem was the battery terminal wires after actually doing an electrical test. the time wasted could have been used to actually do a diagnostic of the vehicle and due to their mistake, my sister is out of over a month of work due to her car being what she used to gain money. would not recommend to anyone who values their time and money. read more

I'll never use FIRESTONE MARICOPA AGAIN... Got an appt at 3pm to buy 4 new tires and to do alignment. Do I asked how long would it take? The guy at the front desk said it will take 1 1/2 hr just for the tires and 1 hr for alignment. I keep checking my car and at 430p my car is still at the parking lot never touch. If I didn't say anything, they won't even know that it was still there. If my car will just park for 1 1/2 hr , why give me an appt at 3pm and not just 430pm? And the guy told me, that's how it is usually. We always buy our tires there and that never happen. But never again, I'm going Discount Tires from now on... Very disappointed in our Maricopa Firestone (used to be Fletchers so...). I have a Firestone lifetime alignment contract on my vehicle and like to get it checked every 2 tire rotations. First off the online appointment system does not show actual availability. Made my first appointment and it was declined due to personnel issues, but they scheduled me for later in the week (this is all online mind you). I adjusted my schedule to accommodate the assigned appointment. When I took it in they said they would need to keep it multiple hours due to personnel issues.... sigh, I took my vehicle back home. I made a new appointment and got the same issue when I went to drop it off and said fine and walked home. A little over an hour later I get the call (voice mail) that my vehicle is complete and we need to discuss issues. I walked back to the shop and met with the Service manager (I assume). I was then told that I pretty much needed a front end rebuild and a new steering gear. I questioned him as the front end had been rebuilt 2 years ago with high quality parts (that I provided to a local RESPECTED shop.) He asked if I had done the work myself and I replied no, it was done by "Professionals." He stammered that I may need to have them check it again. He presented me with my paperwork with a quote for over $2500 without the steering gear. I asked for my alignment paperwork and he stated that there were issues with the printer...... So I took my vehicle back to the shop where the front end work was done and was advised to drop it off for a full recheck and a lube job (they all laughed when I told them it was the local Firestone.) Results were as expected. Everything was tight. The steering gear IS leaking and will be replaced by a trusted shop. I like to keep my work local but I can never go to this Firestone again. I'll just take it back to Chandler where they always have been honest and have always had operational alignment printers. BEWARE!!! read more

BUYER BEWARE!! I wouldn't trust them to fix a lawn mower. They didn't repair an $8 gasket required but told me it was low oil and sent me driving alone to Albuquerque with an unrepaired car. I'm sure I didn't even get the oil I didn't need. Looks like they have a reputation for screwing customers and obviously corporate doesn't care so I strongly suggest you find a real mechanic in Maricopa as this ain't that!! I made an appointment for 2/24/23 at 10AM for a simple oil change. I received the confirmation email with the date and time. I arrived for the appointment and was told I did not have one that day and that they found one for me on 2/26/23 at 10am. I showed them the email confirmation and they basically said oh well. I then checked my email again and I had one from Firestone at 9:15am on 2/24/23 stating, "your requested appointment date or time has been updated, Date & Time February 26, 10:00 A.M." If I wanted to make an appointment for that date and time, that's what I would have done. Why would I make an appointment for a date and time that I am not available and will be at work? This is the fourth time I've had an issue with this particular Firestone. One time they tried to bully me into having work done that doesn't need to be done. I took my car in for an oil change and they told me that I have to have the issue fixed because "when you sell it, everyone brings the cars here for inspection and we'll have to tell them." 2 years later the work wasn't done and the car is in perfect condition. Came a week or so ago for a new tire and a repair to another tire. I was not very impressed with their customer service and was frustrated pretty much with in the first five minutes of the call. But I gave them the benefit of the doubt. Before I go on, this by appointment none sense is ridiculous. You are not a doctor's office, So I went back to get my truck and had a conversation with the guy about the valve repair they did. Flash foward a week or so later the tire is losing air again, I assumed it might be the plug I had to put in it, but I did think that I could really air coming from that same valve. I take it and talked to the guy about getting a new tire, but ALSO making sure I was not going to be charged for ANOTHER valve since they had already replaced it. The guy flips the monitor around and says "We just did a flat repair" I said "Yeah that was the valve" he argued with me about and accused me of not understanding. But I still wanted to get the tire, we called to make sure the manage understood we had already had a valve replaced and did not want to be charged for that. I go back to get my truck and the lady at the counter, who was complaining "this isn't even my store and I am still helping" read over the receipt which said they COULD NOT do the warranty repair since there was a plug ... remember the repair was a replaced valve ... nothing to do with any tile plug. I don't think they even looked at the valve and they wrote it all up evading the word VALVE. Probably to cover their ass with corporate. So I still dont even know of the damned thing is ok or not. Also, when I made the appointment (which was not in their system when I came in BTW) the guy was said they would check my oil and what not to make sure everything was ok. They did not do that or even mention it. They are argumentative, they fudge up the paperwork, they did not do what they said they would and they complained about even having do to their job in the first place. I made my appointment online to have new tires mounted on my vehicle on 6/2 at 9am, I mentioned in the notes that I would be bringing my own tires and that they had the stickers on them. At 7:30am the morning of the appt, I received a call and a voicemail from from the Bill, the store manager. I returned the call and Bill said that he would be able to squeeze me but I needed to have it there by 8am when the store opened and that it probably would not be done until the end of the day and that they were already booking into Saturday for service. Not sure why they had the times available to make an online appt if they could not honor it. I dropped the car off when the store opened and waited for the call to pick it up. I had not heard from them and it was nearing 5pm (when I thought they closed) so I called to get the status of my vehicle. Bill mentioned that there were some issues with one of the wheel studs on the drivers side front tire and that they were not able to get the lugnut back on because it was stripped, but that it was safe to drive and I could come get it. When I went to get my vehicle Bill mentioned that in order for them to fix it, it was a low cost part, but it was labor intensive and would require approximately 1.5 hours of labor and that it would cost me $250. I believe he thought he was talking to an uninformed woman that doesn't know anything about cars, however I know how this happens! They stripped it while putting it back on using the impact gun without threading it a few times first! I left and returned 15 minutes later to talk to the Service manager to ask him why I wasn't notified of the issues while the car was on the lift and the wheel was off. He said that he tried to get a hold of me, however the number didn't work and he was unable to leave a message. That's funny, because Bill called earlier that same morning and left me a message!!! He reported that they were busy and he was trying to locate the part, but the part was not available at the AutoZone next door. I immediately called the AutoZone and the O'Reilly's just down the street and AutoZone confirmed they had 2 available for my vehicle and O'Reilly's had 11 available for just under $3. So they were caught in a lie and tried to get $250 out of me! I called my friend who is the parts manager for a dealership in Phoenix, he got me the part, and this morning with a bit of instruction from him, I was able to replace the wheel stud they stripped in less than 30 minutes in flip flops, on the ground and without all the tools that Firestone has available to them! So much for that "labor intensive" job! I went back after replacing the part and let Bill know that I was able to replace it on my own and that I was aware they were trying to get more money out of me. Question is, why can't they have just been honest from the start? "Hey, we ran into some problems, stripped your wheel stud, so it's going to be a bit longer and we're taking care of it", instead of trying to sell me a line of crap that was so far fetched and filled with lies!!! We will no longer be using Firestone and will be cautioning anyone we know to stay away at all costs. They are crooks!!! read more

He could not have cared less that a customer of 3 years would have to go somewhere else. Did not apologize or show the least concern. I had a sudden issue while on the road on a Sunday, and found one place open within 40 miles. Firestone in Maricopa, AZ. I called and spoke to Rudy and Gary. I made it back 20 miles to their shop, and they took my car in quickly. 30 minutes later, they showed me a bolt that had come loose, and Terrence, the mechanic that fixed the issue, explained it in terms I understood. I couldn't have been more relieved, or satisfied with their service. No charge to tighten the bolt, just the $9.99 service fee. Had my infinity qx56 in the shop for oil change and cooling system diagnoses. I suspected it to be leaking water pump and bad rad cap. Repair quote for labor and water pump was over 1200 $. Has oil change done also. Water pump would cost alone over 600$ and at least 3 hours labor. So I picked up my truck went next door to auto zone bought a water pump for 92$ did the repair myself in garage in an hour with a few tools simply criminal what they tried to get away with. I have two seperate feelings while I write this review. Let me first start off by saying Ian and Brandon are great. They do everything possible to make their customers happy - which is appreciated. I moved to Maricopa about 5 weeks ago. Exactly two weeks ago I took my car in for an oil change and tire rotation. Didn't have to wait long, great. I get on the road and hit 45-50mph and my car is shaking very scarily. I call, Ian says come back in. They fix it, something with the alignment. He apologized, ok, and I'm back on my way. Fast forward to today and I am scheduled for their Epic Sales event for tranny, brake, fuel, and spark plug services. Spent almost $600 bucks. Appt at 8, they call me around 11 and the car is done. I go to pick it up and head over to Fry's to only see that my car is smoking from the back end and sounds pretty shitty. This time I'm in the middle of an intersection(and shout out to the folks in Maricopa who asked if we needed help) and my wife gets out to push my back to Firestone. As she is pushing I call them and I'm obviously frantic because I'm scared. I get there a second time and they take it right in. Long story short, it was nothing major, some additional fluid or something from the fuel cleaning wasn't burned off properly/enough which caused the smoking. I was more scared than anything. Ian and Brandon went above and beyond. They apologized and I'm not writing this review to trash their names or business. I WILL BE BACK, shit happens, but just know they will do everything to right it. They gave me a bucket full of car cleaning items and sponges/clothes, along with free oil changes for the year. They are local and I want to support the local business. I think Ian and Brandon understood I was pissed at first but more because I had to go back to get it corrected, again. Surprised this place has such terrible reviews. We had a great experience here! We were on our way to San Diego when the "check tire" light came on. Both Gary the manager, and Melky the technician were great, very friendly, professional, attentive, and detail oriented. We ended up having a massive rip in our tire. I love that they didn't push on upselling/changing ALL of our tires like other tire places have done in the past, and just took care of our issue. We were in and out in half an hour. I rode my bikke there and asked for a guy to run up and give me a jump They said no thats roadside assistance I said heck, i am a customer of yours and it would take just ten minutes for one of your guys to run up and give the pruis a jump The guy said let me talk to the manager Kenny the manager came out and I plead my same story He said no problem bring your car back here and we'll check the battery Myself and one of the mechanics jumped into his car and drove 5 min to my prius Got the jump, gave hime $40 and good to go I would recommend this place read more

My wife went to get a flat fixed, 2 days later the tire is still leaking air (obviously it had 2 leaks in it the first time, they just didn't take the time to find them both, rookie mistake) I take it back and drop it off and 2 hours later they call and say they won't work on the tire because it is too bald. If that's the case, why repair the first leak? It actually wasn't too bald, I went home and measured it, they just wanted to sell tires. If they would've had good work ethics, I would get my tires from them, now ALL my work will be done at Big O. Not a good way to start here in Maricopa, firestone. read more
