Wish I could leave a negative 3 because a 1 star is too deserving. It started with iconic tire up in Mesa. Took my car there to have them replace rotors with new slotted rotors, new brake pads and put on new custom wheels with new tires. The wheels cost $500 each. They did all the work and then about 2 weeks later, I step on my brakes only to have major brake failure because the rotors they put on the rear were TOO THIN and the brake pad flung out of the bracket causing the caliper to push all the way out. Im no brake guy but I surely would know that the rotor I was replacing was NOT MADE FOR THAT CAR and there was a gap in the bracket. But you cant see that when the wheels are on. So I had to get my car towed back home. Caliper destroyed and almost crashed into another car due to them hiring people who truly did not know anything about brakes or correct parts to use. So, there was an Iconic in Maricopa where I live. Mesa Iconic said they would pay to have new rotors, caliper and brakes. MARICOPA ICONIC called me and said they did not have the same slotted rotors and would i mind if it was not slotted. I said thats fine NOT THINKNG THEY WOULD REPLACE HIGHER END ROTORS I PAID FOR 2 WEEKS AGO WITH THE LITERAL CHEAPEST ROTOR THEY COULD FIND that rusted 2 weeks after installed. Aside from that, they DROPPED MY CUSTOM $500 WHEEL ON THE CONCRETE and hoped I would not notice. THEY TOLD NO ONE. I discovered it a week later, drove it back and showed the owner. He looked at the BLATANT GOUGE and then looked at me confused like "why are you showing me this" Im like, IT WAS A BRAND NEW WHEEL when I brought it in and now it has a gouge in it because it was dropped on the ground carelessly taking my tire off to change the rotors. He still looked confused because he said nothing. He had no solution nor did he care to offer one.. Once again, me being easy-going suggested maybe he could find a wheel repair shop and they have it repaired. So after two weeks of not hearing from him, i called in and he of course told me he could not find any shop that repairs wheels. So after paying around 3,000 dollars to make my car look nice with new slotted rotors, wheels and tires, I now have a gouge in one wheel and CRAPPY RUSTY ROTORS on the back along with a tow truck bill and I also tried to fix my caliper for 100 dollars. SO AVOID THESE TIRE SHOPS BECAUSE THEY DO NOT GIVE TWO SH$TS ABOUT YOU OR YOUR NICE THINGS. Their employees do not even know they are installing the wrong size rotors on cars. JUST PURE BLATANT IMCOMPITENCE as they bang brand new wheels on concrete and hope you wont see it. I mean seriously, RUSTY CHEAP ROTORS that are worse than the stock rotors I paid to have replaced. Brake pads flung out so you almost crash, a tow truck bill of 200 dollars and a ghetto gouge in a new wheel. SERIOUSLY GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. BUYER BEWARE! BAIT AND SWITCH TACTICS, PREDATORY SALES METHODS, AND DISHONESTY. I helped facilitate a tire replacement for my elderly mother and worked with Kevin. He promised a "buy 3 get 1 free" deal on tires available "same day." While I found the tires cheaper elsewhere, Kevin promised to include an oil change, alignment, rotations, and flat repairs for the life of the tires to earn our business. Kevin was extremely aggressive to "close" the sale, calling me repeatedly from different numbers while I was in meetings. Once we arrived at the Maricopa location, the lack of transparency became disturbing. Kevin presented a write-up packed with undisclosed "up-charges" that were never discussed. We were forced to pay for: *Labor for discarding old tires (even though I took the tires myself) *Motor Vehicle Tire Waste Fees *Electronic balance and stem labor *A "protection plan" *Shop supply charges *Tire nitrogen fill fee per tire When I contested the $44 nitrogen charge and asked for regular air, Kevin claimed he couldn't honor the "deal" unless I paid for all the extra "crap." The "free" 4th tire was essentially paid for by these itemized nonsense fees. He clearly expected my elderly mother to sign without me reviewing the invoice. The dishonesty continued with the service. Kevin initially promised the alignment was included. When we picked up the car, he claimed it "didn't need one" but provided no proof. When I pressed, he changed his story, saying they were too busy and told me to call to schedule a Saturday appointment. When I called to schedule for the following Saturday, he claimed they don't do Saturday appointments and then tried to charge me $109-$119 for the alignment that was supposed to be free. This was a complete bait-and-switch. From the aggressive sales tactics to the hidden fees and the retracted promises regarding the alignment, this was the most unethical experience I've had. I cannot speak for the whole staff, but Kevin's tactics are borderline illegal and predatory. Especially towards my elderly mother. Do not take your business here. We have many other local shops in Maricopa that probably operate with better integrity. I am shocked this location has a high rating given these sketchy, dishonest practices. Terrible place over charging customers double what it costs for simple replacing part jobs

Went to iconic 2 weeks ago for an oil change and to see what they found wrong with my vehicle to compare it to the dealership. Needed water pump, brakes, control arm and joints and struts, he wrote everything down, numbered by importance and a total. So i took out a loan to get the work done, when I went back a week later to schedule an apt, told him I want everything done, he looked at the quote and started punching in numbers, I asked him a question, he said, im trying to figure out how I came up with that quote. After he said he'll do it at the cost he quoted me, I dropped it off, and a half hour later he calls, says I need shocks and he will cut me a deal on labor to do the shocks and struts at the same time, I said no, just do what was on the paperwork. He told me they recommend to do the shocks at 150 thousand miles, I asked, how bad are the shocks, he wouldn't answer, just said they recomend them done at 150, I still said no. Next day I picked my car up, and noticed my front end still seemed the same, when I got to Walmart I looked at the receipt and no struts, I called he tried to convince me I said no on the struts, I said no to the shocks. He messed up on his quote, tried to make me look like I didn't understand, but yet I have it on a receipt and he stated, I can't figure out how I gave you that quote. If he would of said, I made a mistake, can we work this out, i know people make mistakes, I do also, but to make it out that I was the one that misunderstood and to try and add more to compensate for the quote that was given, that's messed up. read more

I had an appointment scheduled for four new tires. After I had sat down and started reading my book Abe came out and told me to come out and look at something. He said he was poking around and he found my boot on my rack and pinion steering was bloated and needed service and he admitted he poked a hole in the boot and it was draining out fluid onto the ground. It was probably a teaspoon or less but the fact of the matter is he admittedly poked a hole in my boot and I didn't ask for that service I am appalled that he won't even pay for half the replacement of my boot. There was no hole and no leaking outside of this boot but he had a poking tool in his hand and he kept poking a hole in the boot as I was listening to him explain why he did it. He kept saying I don't think you understand ma'am, there is a leak into this boot and you would have had problems down the road. I was quite appalled when he said he would not be paying for any of the repairs on this boot. New to Arizona we decided to take our truck here for the first time, I honestly thought this place was going to be good cause the Manager Alan seemed to be cool. That day we had the oil change and tire rotation completed. This was done on August 24, 2023 Fast forward to September 09, 2023 we noticed the AC was out so my fiancé got everything ready to work on the truck went to grab the tire lock and guess what it was NEVER placed back where it was last seen. Monday morning September 11th my fiancé went back to Iconic and all of a sudden no one knew where it is! As a customer you would assume that the person working on vehicle would place the lock back where they FOUND IT! they totally took the lock and no one knew where it was the manager even tried to tell my fiancé to try his lock WTF no we wanted OUR LOCK! After a couple failed attempts at a nearby competitor. I recommended my mom and sister come over to Icon because it's in the Goodyear Network and they could utilize my Goodyear card. Needed some tires, brake check and alignment check. I sent them in with some of my personal recommendations and when the gentleman heard my sister doesnt commute he quickly backed off the slightly more expensive tire (and longer tread life) and quickly agreed that yea, she doesn't need to spend that and can have great tires with the Kelly Edge. So that's always nice when a salesman kicks out the upsell and goes with 100% customer satisfaction. Checked the brakes to make sure a caliper wasn't hung up on the rotor n causing a pull to the left. All good there, checked alignment and also good. Lengthy review I know, but if you spot my negative review elsewhere itll make so much more sense on why we're happy to have tried Icon and will bring back all 4 of our vehicles when we need some work done. These people are trained not only to "find problems in people's car that don't exist" but also overprice estimates. Recently I took my car to have a headlight bulb changed, next day when I go to work at 4am, I noticed the fog light is gone! Took the car back to have it checked and with their bla, bla, tried to make me pay for a fog light that was in perfect condition when I dropped the car off. Also, last year I spent over $2,000.00 to change a water pump, but when I picked the car up the next day, I noticed that they messed up the driver's door. It will cost me over $400.00 at Lexus to fix this door . From now on, I rather to take my car to Lexus, I know it will cost me more, but they won't ruin something else and if they do, they always fix it. I took my car to O'Reillys auto parts, I only paid under $20.00 for the light bulb and they changed it for free!! Now I am wondering if employees are trained to conduct business this way. read more

Thief's, I took my car in for an oil change, leaking tire repair( purchased the tires from them on 12/18/2020, and paid $76.00 extra for the tire protection plan for road hazard repair or replacement ) Tire rotation and alignment check( had also purchased the 5 year alignment plan $113) Drop the car off, get a call about an hour later they tell me the lug nuts are bad need to be replaced $105, tell them go ahead! Get another call, tires are worn out, no tread left and control arm bushings are bad (thought that was funny cause my wife took her car in to get new tires on 1/9/2021 and they said her control arm bushing were bad, there was some front end shake so I agreed with it, after the work, still front end shake, jacked the car up and discovered the CV axels were shot, why didn't they catch that????) So I go back down and take a look at the tires, look fine to me, still a lot of tread, didn't want the control arm bushing done without a second opinion! So I declined the extra $2100 of extras, so they tell me they won't repair the leaky tire because the tires are at 3/32. Once I get home I look at the tire plan it says will repair or replace to tread depth of 2/32, look at the inspection report in the invoice and it shows the tread depth to be 7/32, hmm he told me the tread was at 3/32 and I could clearly tell that was a lie!!! I wonder how many poor unknowing customers have believed there lies and got ripped off!! Oh and my son works for Big O tires in Phoenix and confirmed that the tread wear is at 7/32, not 3/32, I will be making the drive to Phoenix from now on to get my work done!! Maricopa location Asked for an appointment with a week in advance for an oil change rather than dropping it off so they can get to it throughout the day. I was told that if I made an appointment the car would be done in a couple hours. The appointment was at 10. Called at 2 and was told that the car was on the rack/lift getting service. Took my Jeep here for a rotation and oil change after calling to see if they could fit me in with the short notice (a few weeks ago) and with my schedule being that I needed to be in Chandler by 5 PM so I went ahead and took my Jeep in and dropped it off for the services requested (tire rotation and oil change) typically goes hand in hand when you get an oil change with Jeeps. So I get a call several hours later approaching the time in which I need to come pick up my Jeep and the phone call is to tell me that my brake pads are horrible and that they need to be replaced so trying to finagle and additional 300+ out of a female... luckily I'm not a dip shit and my dad taught me a thing or two as well as my brother, my brakes are perfectly fine so I then told him to just do the rotation and oil change as asked and he declined the rotation I requested because he said it was not necessary. I'm baffled at this point so I just told him to do the oil change and I'll do the rotation the main reason why I left this review is because I went to fill up my windshield washer fluid and noticed that my coolant overflow was completely empty! So sad you can't trust shops anymore, they nickel and dime you every chance they get especially if your a female driving a nice vehicle.... I recently had my oil changed on a diesel vehicle at Iconic. Once the service was complete the salesman (yes I'm using the term salesman not mechanic) informed me that my vehicle needed brake pads in the back and that they were so bad they were affecting my rotors as well. They also informed me there were numerous oil leaks all over. Which there had been no oil on the drive way to make me think there was an issue. I brought it to a trusted individual where he showed me the brake pads were like new. New ones were not needed nor was any of the other services they said were going to be needed. They quoted me over $1000 for each. Upset is an understatement. My vehicle is also now leaking oil all over the place. How convenient. I will never go back. When I went to get a tire balance, I was told my tires were to bad to balance and I would need new ones. The explanation was very poorly relayed, but since I knew that new tires would be needed soon, I decided to move forward. When I went in to get the the car, I was told he was signing me up to be part of some kind of membership at the shop. I assumed this was like a frequent shopper thing. Next thing I know I have an email congratulating me on my new credit card. At no time did anyone mention a credit pull or a credit card. You can imagine how irritated I am. Very shady salesman. Back in December my car was indicating that I didn't have any oil in my car so I looked at the dip stick and there wasn't anything so I took my car to get in an oil change. They charged me $200 and something dollars to do the oil change plus oil filter which I thought was a little ridiculous. The guy who was handling my car thought it was burning internally which had me extremely concerned. He wanted me to bring it in two weeks to see if that's what was wrong. Fast forward a couple of weeks, I take it back there to make sure that there was oil in it and he said there was. Last week, the light comes on again. I had my boyfriend and his dad take a look at my dip stick and no oil in it at all. Mind you it only had been a few months. So I went and bought oil to put it, put 4 quarts in. I called a couple of other people who also thought it was burning internally also. Last night, I called my mechanic friend and asked him to come over and took a look at it and said they didn't even put oil in it and it isn't burning oil at all.
