I wish I could give this Firestone no stars. I had my car serviced for an AC issue. There was a weeks time in between the diagnosis and fixing the issue because I wanted to allow them time to get the part in for my vehicle. I had a 10am appointment and was told at 5:30pm my vehicle could be picked up. This is after, checking in at 2:20pm and being told 1.5 hours left and again at 4:30pm another 45 minutes till it was finished. I also was told that my cabin air filter needed to replaced and they did not have the part so they just left it out. To top everything off, I had to pay out of pocket for all this mess even though I am a loyal Firestone card holder. They claimed on both occasions they couldn't locate my account. Sometimes it may be slow, but what mechanic shop isn't. I also made a great decision by getting their Credit Card. This is the best place to get your car serviced. They are not going to rip you off like they will at the dealership. I had a tire changed a day before taking my car for service at the dealership. (I had the pre pay plan, that the reason why I went to the dealership) 30 mins after leaving the car they called me telling me I had a nail in a tire and that it could not be repaired., they could replace it for $172+ tax. I came here for an oil change I asked for synthetic oil because I have a European car, they put STANDARD oil in my car after I told them synthetic, Robert the assistant manager told me it's no difference, my boyfriend had to get involve and tell him, that if I ask for synthetic oil you give her synthetic oil and he wanted to up-charge me because his tech messed up , I said no. They took my car back and changed it to synthetic oil, I already have been there for two hours, and once I left, my car was shaking! I took it to another oil change company and they said they put too much oil in my car now. I brought my car in for an inspection. My headlights being my main concern. Was told by the manger, Joseph, it was only going to take a hour to an hour and a half to take a look at and he would contact me once it was done. A couple hours passed before I decided to give them a call get an update. Was told be an employee that that weren't finished with my car. When asked how long it was going to be all he said was "I don't know, but we close at 4 so probably before then." Which concerned me since I didn't agree to them keeping my car over night or anything. 3:45 rolls right around without a single update on my car. I went in to find my car was still not finished. They didn't have a single thing to tell me besides "it might be an electrical issue." I'm not even entirely convinced that they looked at my car based on my exchange when picking up and telling me basically the same information I told them when I came in. The only good thing about this experience was Lorenzo helping me out at the finish. Even though he didn't give me answers, he at least was nice about it and I don't blame him considering the manager left early and likely left the employees with a bunch of work they couldn't handle. Particularly when they mentioned he was the one working on my car. Poor management is what likely caused my experience if I had to say. Honestly if you want to waste your time, then this is the perfect mechanic to go to and they'll even make you pay for wasting your time. read more

On 01/29/19 went to my dentist on early morning appointment and upon leaving my vehicle wouldn't start.Called AAA and the service tech.jump started my vehicle and ran a charging system test on it as well,He stated charging system was in working order but the battery was not holding a charge.He followed me home to ensure I wouldn't have any problem getting there,Thank you AAA.On 01/30/19 I took my interstate battery with warranty in hand to Firestone at Galleria Ring Mall for exchange,Battery was less than 2 years old and had more than 1 year left on warranty..Service rep. stated I needed to bring in my vehicle for a charging system test and there would be a $25.00 test charge.WTH ! Being 75 yrs.old taking the battery out was a chore for this old guy so I decided to go to my local Pep Boys to purchase a new battery,They ran a test on the interstate battery and stated the battery appeared to have a dead cell.Pep Boys stated they would not require a vehicle test unless requested by customer and would test their battery for problems at no charge.Emailed Firestone corp with this issue and as expected there has been no response as yet. I needed my front brakes pad replaced. I was calling around to look for a better price than the one I got ( I'm a student and need to save when I can). This place gave me the best price (1 star for that). And that it was a lifetime warranty (1star for that). I was told it will take about 1.5 hours so I said let's make me an appointment! Got there at 9am this morning and around 11am I asked on how it was coming along, I was told they're waiting for the part. Sooo you knew I was coming today cause I made an appointment and you didn't get the part then?! I didn't end up driving out of there until 12:28pm. If I could give negative stars, I would! I just wish I checked out yelp before my wife took her car there to get her a/c fixed. I went to O'Reilly auto parts, the same place Firestone gets their parts from, to try and fix the a/c myself. You see, I have to recharge the system twice every summer due to an obvious leak. I finally got tired of spending the money to recharge it and had O'Reilly give me pricing on all the possible components that could leak. When I went to add a dye into the system to find the leak, I realized I bought the wrong refrigerant as my supply hose was the wrong connection. Because the line was under pressure, the dye sprayed everywhere. That's my fault and I knew better. So, Due to an injury, it would be difficult for me to do the repairs anyways and I decided to just send my wife to this Firestone location to find the leak and fix it. She made the appointment for 1 pm the next day (today, Saturday) After more than a 2 hour wait, even with an appointment, they FINALLY looked at the vehicle and tell her that it'll cost $900 to fix the a/c as both the high and low lines are leaking and need to be replaced. What? These lines cost $35 and $70 at O'Reilly with the accumulator at $40. I talked to Javier (I think that was his name) and asked him where exactly the leaks were coming from. He said he talked to the mechanic and the mechanic said both lines were leaking at the connections. I challenged him on that and told him that would be rare if that were the case and he said he knew. I asked him if it were the valve stems leaking and he said no, it was the connections. I asked him how much he was charging me on the lines and he said $143 and $81. I asked him why he was charging DOUBLE the cost of the parts and he said that's what they do. I asked why when they did nothing but order the part? He asked if I wanted to speak to a manager. I said no and asked what if I went to O'Reilly and bought the parts and had them shipped to them? (I knew that O'Reilly didn't have the parts in Stock due to me inquiring the night before and they told me that they didn't stock those in the store but could have it in the morning from their local warehouse.) He said no, that the warranty would not be valid at that point. WHAT? I told him it would be the same part from the same vendor. He again asked if I wanted to speak to his manager. I told him no and to just give my wife the quote and we'd go from there. My wife came home and pulled the car into the garage so I could verify there was dye at the connections of both lines. I put on my special glasses and used the special light to see the dye and the ONLY dye around was that of my mistake from the spray the night before. THERE WAS NO DYE AT ANY CONNECTION ON ANY END OF EACH LINE! I've had a lot of work done at Firestone because of my time requirements and lack of certain equipment that only a shop would have. After this experience, I can assure you I will not back! It's a sad day when a company has to make up repairs and OVERCHARGE for the parts! I can only imagine what they do to those who don't know any better! read more

We're at the Firestone on Stephanie. They have had our car for two days to maintenance the parking brakes. The technician had to leave for an emergency before completing the task. I called this location for another technician to help walk a representative with the Stephanie location through completing the maintenance task. I spoke to Ben at Mall Circle location he was EXTREMELY HELPFUL!!! He even offered to be available after hours to help our Firestone representative take the parking brake out of maintenance mode.
