I will echo other people's reviews that it takes forever here, but I also saw for myself what happens in this place. I'm from Tucson and work in El Paso once a week. About a month ago, my radiator blew on my Ford Explorer and I used my emergency road service and had it towed here. I have the lifetime alignment with Firestone and like my shop in Tucson, although I do most basic mechanic work myself when I can. I figured since they had my Explorer in the system, it would be easier to get it in. I got helped right away at the front desk and the guy told me it would be about an hour to get it in to diagnose the leak. It took about an hour and a half, but it was obvious they were very busy. This place is VERY BUSY, so be prepared is all I can say. It took about 5 minutes to tell the radiator was the problem. I talked to the mechanic, I think his name was Keith, but not sure. We talked a bit about the radiator removal and what is involved, including replacing the thermostat, since that was probably the culprit in building pressure and blowing the radiator. Since I do a lot of work myself and after talking for a few minutes, I felt good he knew what he was doing and he said he and his brother had been mechanics there for like 15 years or something. We had to wait for about an hour for the parts to be delivered and then it took a couple of hours to do the work. All in all, I was there for about 6 hours, but the work was done perfectly. It's been a month since I had the work done and I couldn't be happier with the work quality. Bottom line, it was a long wait, but they did good work. I would use this place again if my Explorer broke down in El Paso again. read more

I feel bad for the kind employees that might work there because I encountered one during my service. I had an alignment done, things were written on the paper but not explained. I was charged, he confirmed my email, said a receipt was sent by email, and said I was all set. I asked for my key, which was set down with papers, on the opposite side of the counter where they were charging me. Mind it is a wide counter like they all have, plenty of room to put it in front of me. I asked for my key he said it's right there, points, and I left. Terrible customer service and I can understand why the rating is low, unfortunately I didnt check that before going. I trust Firestone but bad customer does not encourage customers to return. This is also only one bad interaction of the 3 I had. Will return to Firestone, just not this location. read more

I went to get my oil change i still had 1 hour and the shop was completely empty, there was this one older guy at the front desk being disrespectful to me yelling at me saying that there wer about to close and i was trying to pull up the coupon he was putting pressure on me saying to hurry up, i didnt get his name but i was going to report him to the manager i dont recommend this place the staff is Rude and look Racist. read more

Today I went to get a free brake inspection as the ad stated. Nowhere in the fine print does it state that you have to let Firestone fix your brakes in order for the inspection to be free, i was told i had to pay the $10 fee because i wanted to take my car to another mechanic after this Firestone location was trying to charge me an outrageous price. read more

So I called Firestone on Friday and showed up for my 1pm appointment on Saturday to be told that we cannot conduct an oil change on your Audi because we do not have the filter to change it out. Poor customer service and a huge waste of my time! You could have told me that on the phone or give me a courtesy call that you highly advise me to got to an Audi dealership. Smdh! read more

Stay away!!!! Horrible service. I walked in to an older gentleman at the counter. Maybe assistant or general manager. I let him know I have a flat, because my sensor has indicated a flat. He asks me what tire and I explain that I'm not sure what tire. I checked myself but didn't find a mail or anything. That's is why I came to them. He then says to me it's going to be $30 per tire just to check it and I should know what tire it is. So $120 to fix a flat. The reason people are cautious about coming to mechanics is because they think they are getting screwed. Based in their google reviews I'm not surprised by the predatory upselling. Do yourself a favor go across the street to pep boys. My flat cast less than $30. Btw I was a returning customer as I had a flat a couple years ago at another Firestone location. They had my info and could see that I was charged $30 for a flat and to check my tires. This is only regarding this location. I'm sure other locations are different. This one however. I requested a DMV car inspection done but as soon as I got in my car I started to hear loose brakes and tested them and they were no longer tight my fuse panel was on the floor and and i took it in and asked my Machanic why it was on the floor since I just took it in for an inspection?! So this place has good workers to work on vehicles, never had a problem with the services that have been done. The biggest issue i have with this place is that even with an appointment you will be there for at least an hour for a minor service. My vehicle was ready for over 30 minutes after it was done. I could see when they parked it out front so i was patiently waiting for my name to be called so i could pay and leave. Unfortunately i had to go up and tell them that my t was sitting for at least 30 minutes and if it was ready. Never got an apology for it or sorry for the inconvenience. It's the little things that could really go a long way when it comes to customer service. read more

Shouldn't even be given a star. I'm a disabled veteran and I've been going to this shop since I've been in the military for over 2 years with 2 different vehicles. I recently went in two days ago for an oil change and they came back saying there's a leak and that they weren't gonna do anything about till Tomorrow. I came in the next day and it took 2 1/2 hours for them to tell me they need to take about my engine belt to fix the leak costing $1,346. When that was all BS, they dumped my oil making it low and made up a leak. I put a quart of oil in it and had a drip pan under my vehicle and went somewhere else for a second opinion and Firestone was trying to make a move on me. It's disgusting the way they treat people and try to take advantage of us and the veterans. Will never be coming here again and shame on the management for letting this happen. read more

Came in about an hour before they closed due to just getting the vehicle and they stayed late just to help us their customer service was awesome and did a vehicle inspection with doing a full set of tires for us. I guess it makes a difference here who you deal with. The young dude was great previously. Today I was stuck with the knarly old dude with grey side hair who doesn't GAF and needs to be retrained on customer service. Being willfully difficult with customers makes no sense when your business depends on them. Based on how willfully unhelpful the older customer 'service' dude was recently I decided not to return to complete the work which is now being done by Poe Toyota, who know what good customer service is. Same priced quote but presented with a smile by nice, professional people who don't seem to resent their customers. Avoid this place unless you want to be disrespected. read more

First of all called to make an appointment for ac charging. Its takes a different machine to charge my vehicle, which they have. So we drive an hour to the service center and are told we would have to wait 3 hours. We told him we had an appointment, still the attendant says it doesnt matter. Then proceeds to inform us the machine is broken. Total waste of time. Why make appointments if you arent going to honor them? And then why not tell people up front they got crap for equipment and cant do service you made the appointment for in the first place? Uninformed with no people skills. read more

I have been going here for years. NOT ANYMORE! I wanted to get a state inspection on my jeep done. They said I needed a new battery which I agreed to. Then they told me I needed to drive it for about 50 miles because the computer had reset. I returned after 50 miles. They said it was not ready. I ended up driving it a total 82 miles. Right before returning the check engine light came on. They then told me that they could not do the test because the check engine light was on. Additionally, they couldn't do an diagnostic for another hour and a haft. This would have been 8 hours after I first showed up at 7:30 AM. I went to Auto Zone and use their computer and found the problem in 5 minutes. It was simple short in my brake light switch. If I had waited on Firestone my new battery would have be drained. What should have taken a couple of hours took all day and they didn't fix the problem and I didn't get my vehicle inspected. read more

Horrible, HORRIBLE Service!! I purchased all 4 new tires there June of this year and also purchased the additional extended warranty that covers everything in case something happens to the tires. I go in yesterday because there was a nail in my rear tire and they told me it would take about 2-3 hours to fix because they had 3 cars ahead of me and will call me when it's fixed. 3 hours pass no phone call so I call and they said just one more hour. Another hour passes I receive no call yet again and same thing just one more hour. So seven hours later right before they close they say they are working on it and will finish it in a few minutes and stay after 7:00 PM close time. I go in a little before 7:00 PM and they inform me they haven't worked on it and will not be ready until tomorrow. Explained to me they kept telling me it wouldn't be ready until tomorrow from the first phone call which they never did. They ended up giving me my vehicle back since it would take an additional day to fix. Ridiculous just for a nail in my tire! Wont ever go back or purchase anything from them again! read more

This place is a joke, front counter employee waited at the computer for about 1 minute before he asked me what I needed. Imagine just standing there looking at the employee for 1 minute without any words. A bit awkward. He seemed to have an attitude also. I asked for a patch on my tire and was told it would be 3 and a half hour wait!!! I'm really tired of poor customer service from mechanic/Auto shops especially this one, this is the second time I have came here and left because of poor customer service. When you leave a place like this with poor customer service, it really upsets me that the owner does not understand customer service, because if he/she did, he/she would know how his employees are treating customers. Wish I could give 0 stars. Called and asked for a service, was told they did service, took my truck in, received a call back saying I switched a sensor, and that it fixed the problem only to get truck back in exactly same condition. Called them back and was told I needed a new instrument cluster, and that they do not die the service I initially requested and was told they did. Eventually took the truck to a mechanic and he did the service requested and fixed the problem. Firestone wanted to charge $2100 to replace an instrument cluster that was not going to fix the issue. read more

Worst place to go to. Manny is the worst person possible. He has the worst customer service. I went in to get my oil changed and tires rotated and he told me that I had to pay to get them rotated since I didn't get my tires from them. I explained it for the third time that I had bought my tires there. He kept arguing with me that it showed I have never been there before and that I was a new customer. And then when I was just about to to do anything, he didn't even ask what service I wanted for the oil change he was going to charge me 60 dollars when I just wanted the basic plan. Today I went to get my oil changed and a safety check. I was there early at about 8:15 am. They had room to take my car in at that moment. They told me it would take about 1 1/2 hour. Which was perfect since I had somewhere else to be. 2 1/2 hours later (maybe a little more) my car still sat there in front of the store. I watched people come in and out. People dropping and picking up car with In 15-30 min. I highly doubt they do reservations here but even so there's no reason why my car should sit there with out being serviced without an explanation. I sat in the waiting room the entire time and someone should have had the courtesy to tell me there was a delay for whatever reason. When I asked to cancel my service they had the nerve to say they have a guy available right now to take my car in. I was extremely upset. It was my first time there and I will never go back. Don't come here unless you have the whole day to waste. They obviously don't care about their business or customers. read more

My wife had a screw stuck in the center of her tire, and we came to this Firestone to get it fixed. I had already taken the tire off of her Jeep and had it in the trunk of my car. When the gentleman behind the counter came out and looked at the screw in the tire, he immediately said that it could not be patched because the treads were too worn. Now I am no mechanic, but in my 48 years of living, I have seen tires with far worse looking tread plugged and/or patched with no problems (but I did not mention that to him). We went back inside and he proceeded to do a price check on a new tire. He quoted us at a price of over 250 dollars mounted. I told him that I could not afford to pay 250 dollars for a tire. He just smiled and offered the tire without mounting it for around 165 dollars. I told him no thanks, and we left. We drove down the road to Jerry's tire shop and asked if the tire could be fixed or would we need to buy a new one. Without any issues, the gentleman told us that they would fix the tire. Two days later, my wife had a screw in the exact same spot in her spare tire, so we ended up taking both tires to the tire shop where they plugged and patched both tires for 25 dollars each. We have had NO issues with the tires so far (not that I thought we would). So it is safe to say that the Firestone on Dyer would rather make an attempt to have customers spend money they really do not need to, than to create a loyal customer by delivering honest service. From now on, all of my tire services will be done at Jerry's Tire Shop. I will not be taking either of my vehicles to any Firestone again. read more

Waited 5 minutes before anyone even came out to help, he (manny C) was finishing his food as he came out with a mouth filled with food and dirty hands. Then told me it would take 45 minutes to finish everything. After waiting 1 hour and 20 minutes they went ahead and told me I needed new tires and would take an additional 45-60 minutes to finish everything but have still been here for over two and a half hours. They were rude and were lazy. I will never come back and hope nobody waste there time or money at this location. First time Firestone ever let me down. I got a flat tire in the middle of the freeway, brought it to this one on Dyer since it was the one I was closest to. Coming in the guy at the counter said that they could patch the tire but it would be about an hour since everyone was out to lunch, because they had cut the hours and we're very busy. Didn't make sense that everyone was out lunch??? Anyways I accepted because that was literally the only option I had. Sitting in the waiting room there was about 5 guys just sitting there talking, the phone would ring and they wouldn't even answer it. 30-40 min later he calls us up again and said that the tire was slashed and had to purchase a new one. I'm a very understanding person but you could honestly see there was no hustle in these guys to do much. We usually go to the one on Pelicano, they always seem to do what's right for you and if there isn't enough staff the manager will go and handle it on his on, especially if it's something simple like patching a hole or getting a tired. My experience at this Firestone was the least professional business I have ever experienced. I drove to El Paso to buy a car and brought it immediately to the closest mechanic to get it checked out. First, they kept my car overnight without telling me so I had to buy a hotel room at the last minute. The next day they kept the car for six hours doing about $1300 worth of repairs to the car without telling me they were doing so. Over the next two days they did another $1000 in repairs without telling me and just kept saying the car was undrivable so I couldn't take it to another mechanic. They installed a new alternator that my car did not need and ended up having my car fro four days without updating me on any of the progress. Then only updates I got were when I called or physically went into the Firestone and all the answers I received were vague. They completely screwed me over and disrespected me. They treated me like I couldn't understand what they were saying because I am a woman. I had to call a male friend of mine to come in with me so that I could get some answers. I would not recommend this establishment to ANYONE. They completely overcharged me and kept my car without telling me. Horrible service and a shotty job on the repairs they did. read more

I stopped ahead of time and purchased the tires, had my wife show up with the yukon about 1.5 hrs later 'cause i had to go. Once it was all said and done i met up with her in the afternoon and asked her for the printout of the alignment that they recommended. They didnt give it to her. So i called and asked why they hadnt given her a printout, the whole point of it is to prove that something was done to the vehicle. So they said i could stop by to pick it up if i wanted it. I wasnt able to because we were getting ready to head out of town. So we agreed to a picture be texted to me and they did. Only the after one though. I called again and asked for the before picture they said they didnt have it. So i asked then how do i know that it even needed it? He said, and i quote "i dont know". So you charged for something that you dont even know if it needed it and have no proof that it did? His response "Sorry sir i dont know what to tell you". I had to let it go at the time. Wife took it back today to check it again because it was pulling a little. I work 4 hrs away from home so i asked her to send me the pictures of the results. Again same thing no printouts. But its perfect! He said when i called. Again i had to get a text message picture with it and its not perfect there is some adjustment that could be done. But since its under warranty they just let it go like that. Ill be calling tomorrow to see what they can do about it. Because this is not right. I shouldnt have to go out of my way to make all these phone calls and requesting paperwork that needs to be provided to begin with from 4 hours away where i work. This place simply does not care about those details that make a huge difference for us that are paying for these services with our hard earned money. read more
