I went for a simple tire rotation but also ended up buying the balancing for the tires. When I went to pick up the vehicle, they gave me my car keys and told me I was good to go. I then informed one of the staff members that I also gave the first employee a wheel lock key. The first reaction was of disbelief as if I had not given them a lock key. He then asked the first employee who attended me if I had given him a key, which the employee stated yes. Soon an employee attempted to hand me a random key which I stated that was not mine because mine was shorter. They were never able to find the wheel lock key. They did order the part free of cost (they did lose it) , but I am now forced to go back in the future to replace with a new set of locks and key. I have never had issues with Discount Tire but the carelessness and insinuation that I was lying from one employee really convinced me to look for other tire options for the future. read more

Had to bring my car here to check for a slow leak and patch them. I called ahead of time and the gentleman who answered was so kind and answered all my questions. When I arrive there was already a line even after 15 minutes of opening, I was a little nervous as I had my toddler with me. But they move so efficiently and quick the line zoomed right through. They called my name maybe two minutes after waiting. Then came and took my keys to go check. They checked and patched up the tires all free of cost. Came out that I had a big gash in my tire and needed a new one. The prices were reasonable and do a 5% military discount. The establishment was very clean, and safe with protocols. All the employees greet customers with smiles. It's no wonder the lines get long, I will be returning and I highly recommend. On a roadtrip with my son, my tire developed a slow leak. When we stopped in El Paso, we made an appointment at this Discount Tire. I elected to buy two new tires to avoid any further issues on the trip. Price was reasonable and turnaround time excellent. Two things got under my skin: the long wait time when you first drive in (turned out to not be a big deal in the overall transaction but it is off-putting) and the prepay policy. Avoid this place at all cost. They will take your money for tires, damage your vehicle during installation, conduct a phony internal investigation if you complain, automatically determine you were at fault, and refuse to issue you a refund. I purchased a complete set of incorrectly sized tires, asked to purchase another set of correctly sized ones which the manager agreed to, and had him install the 2 they had in stock until the other two arrived 2 days later. Big Mistake! Realized after leaving that the tech got upset about having to reinstall tires and retaliated by intentionally damaging my rims; Which I complained about the next day. Thats when the aforementioned BS started. I asked for a full refund because I had a legitimate safety concern at that point, and was denied because I didn't allow them to "fix the issue". WTF!?!?! Why would I agree to you fixing a problem that should've never been one to begin with? So essentially, what you're asking me to do is give you permission to vandalize my vehicle a second time? No Thanks! I could elaborate on the horrible customer service I received but who wants to read that? My advice: Please stay from this place! There are tons of other options in the area, more specifically, more reputable businesses with designated Human Resources Departments. Just yourself the headache and purchase from a major retailer instead of this business if you prefer to avoid illiterate individuals who won't waste your time. The employees don't value customers nor customer service because they obviously do not value themselves as people. What was the lesson learned? Do not allow certain "types of people" to touch your nice vehicle. Additionally as a reminder, people who have nothing do not value anything. You'd better plan to be here all day. I came in just needing a lug lock removed and they said it'd be an hour. They had no one in front of me so I walked to Starbucks and came back an hour and a half later. The car hadn't been touched. I confronted the gentleman and he said it'd be about three hours longer. I was pretty livid and confronted him and he came right back at me. What a terrible place full of lazy liars. ****UPDATE**** After heading to school from the lot and the very heated argument I had with the store, I got a message in about 30-40 minutes saying my vehicle was ready. When I arrived I expected back lash from my confrontation. I walked in, they handed me the keys with a smile and comped off the cost. Discount always treats me well. 3 years ago (almost to the day) I bought a set of tires during a cross country trip from North Carolina, through Kentucky, into Arizona, up through Utah and ending up in Washington by Seattle. My old tires weren't shedding water and by West Virginia I was sliding all over the road. Discount hooked me up with 4 Michelin tires and their bullet proof 3 year warranty. Fast forward 3 years. I've just finished moving from Washington to El Paso, and my wife is across town with our dog. We have no idea what punctured the tire, but it went flat on the freeway. I rushed back just in time to find out my wife has already swapped out the tire for the spare. The next day (this morning) I stopped by Discount, figuring I was out of warrantee either on wear or because it was 3 years old. They HONORED THE WARRANTEE, swapped a spare tire I had lying around, and ordered a new tire. Thinking it would be in the next day I went home. 2 hours later, I got a call that my tire was in. They're mounting and balancing my new tire as we speak, and getting rid of my old one. Best customer service I've had in El Paso, but this seems to be the standard that Discount lives by. I came to the shop because my rear tire kept losing air pressure and I was constantly having to fill it up. I don't drive all over the world so I didn't think there were any nails or anything. When I walked in, there was a minimal wait and a manager by the name of Adrian called me over. There's two managers named Adrian, and I experienced poor customer service by the taller one. I've been to discount tires plenty of times (unfortunately) and know how the process works. When I got to him, he talked to me like I was 12 years old and definitely fed into the stereotype of " mechanics treating women like they are dumb or trying to get over on them because most of them don't know about cars". It was absolutely disgusting and as a service member I extremely disappointed I "fought" for this dude. He asked for my keys and we walked to my car just for him to ask me the mileage, which tire had an issue, and to scan my tires with his phone gadget. He snatched the keys out of my hand making me almost drop them, my service dog gave me a signal saying this dude was bad blood and he kept slamming my car doors every time he went to check the dash or psi. When we went back inside, I already wanted to talk to someone else but everyone was busy with other customers. He ended up asking me for my info to put into the system and was short and blunt with me. He handed me a receipt and asked me if I was going to drop the vehicle or wait. I said to wait and asked for a time frame. He looked at me like I was bothering him and just murmured under his breath a random time. At this point, I already knew not to come back to this location. When my car was serviced, some technician pulled around, handed me my keys and didn't give me any type of update of what the issue was. I was so done at this point, I just drove off. read more

Asked at 10:20 and the supervisor told us it will still be another 3 to 4 hours!!! They said there was still 7 customers ahead of us even though all the people that were there with us were already gone!! They started putting people that were buying tires in front of us since we were just getting maintenance work on our tires under warranty. They used to have amazing customer service and really have gone down hill. I went in today to get my sensors and air checked. I was told by the kid checking the tires that they now charge 20 bucks to check the sensors. I asked for a Mgr and this person named RAUL came out and was stand ofish and absolutely disrespectful when I questioned the charge. He laughed at me and said if I wanted the sensors checked, I should have bought the itres from him and then got cocky with me asking how much I payed for them and that I probably got ripped off. He did and said all this to me in front of 2 eployees and 1 other customer who promptly walked out with me. So embarrassed and appaled! read more

I had a misunderstanding w/ a salesperson after I bought a complete set of tires. A couple days later I completed a survey abt my incident and wldnt u know...the very next morning I received a call from Raul the store manager who explained to me exactly why things went down the way they did. So like I said the misunderstanding was mine but bc he wanted to keep me as a customer forever he "took the high road" by saying the misunderstanding was their fault and offered me generous compensation for the miscommunication. Robert, the salesman, looks at the truck then ask his manager AFTER he found out that I had gotten a good deal on the truck, about installing the tires on aftermarket rims. The reviews don't sugar coat this place. My husband and I needed to get tires and this place was close by. We were worried cause the place was about to close soon, but they greeted us happily and showed no stress for last minute customers. :) Their service was courteous and respectful. They didn't push you into "promos" or asked you to purchase anything else. All the other shops we've been too seemed to do this or over price you. They were literally quick. No waiting for more than 20 minutes. I saw 3 more vehicles pull in and the workers there were quick to jump on them. I recommend this place for anyone. :) read more

Service like this is rare these days. This location is about a mile from my home and I've consistently gotten excellent service from any number of their associates. It's simply always a pleasure to deal with these guys. In fact, I go there every time I buy a new vehicle to buy a road hazard warranty for the tires. The other reviewer is correct, though. Bring something to read, though they often have recent car magazines to read (and bottled water to drink). Prepare to wait between 15 and 90 minutes during peak times. Done business with Discount Tire some 12 or 15 times and never been dissatisfied. read more
