2 visits so far one to purchase new tires one to remove a screw from one of them (free service) Excellent service both times. I am not sure if this is corporate or franchise, but whichever it is, they run like a well-oiled machine and I appreciate their accurate time estimates for service. They balance friendliness and efficiency very well. I don't choose chains often, but I'm very pleased with this location. An online appointment will also cut down your wait time, but they are also as timely as they can be with walk-ins. I also found out this trip that they do wiper replacements, which is nice to know if I need that in between my oil changes (my mechanic does those.) Given what I paid for them, I am not as happy with my new set of tires as I was with the old ones (but that's not on Discount Tire -- that's on Bridgestone for discontinuing the best tire ever!) read more

Discount Tire - Helpful guide to the life of a tire - Tires Near Me - El Paso, Texas

-- I happened to watch a YouTube video that stressed the importance of proper tire pressure. And since I'm a decades devoted customer of Discount Tires, I made it a point to visit their store on Masa, and glad I did. Two days later I received an email from them with important information, my left rear tire was in poor shape. Honoring my long-term business relationship with Discount Tire I plan to ask them to replace it. My appreciation and gratitude will not cover the cost but so what? I'll be driving safe on Discount Tires -- read more

Just left Discount on Desert Blvd. after waiting 10 minutes for an air check and drove right up to the Discount on Mesa St. World of difference, I was greeted at the lane, asked how my day was going, and asked what my concerns were. He checked my pressure and filled it right up. It took me longer to write this review than it did to get my tires checked. Thank you! read more

Don't do business with this company. I called ahead and got a quote for 88.43 for one tire. I then showed up ten minutes later. I wanted a new tire on the Front Left tire which was bald. The service rep, Jacob V, wanted to do a tire safety inspection. He recommended I replace all four tires even though the front passenger tire I had purchased three weeks earlier. I have a receipt for that. He kept BSing, and BSing trying to get me to buy more tires even though I had no problem with the other three. I pay for just the Front Left tire to be replaced. They put the new tire on the Back Left and the front left tire that was bald was still on the Front Left. I ask them to fix it, and I come out and they put another new tire on the back right and move the back right tire to the front left. I get the manager, and by this time I'm screaming at him. Finally they move one of the new tires to the front left and put the other tire on the back right where it started out at. I was in an accident and the front alignment is off. The front tires burn, so that's why the front left tire was bald. I wanted a brand new front left tire, bc I'm about to drive across the state of Texas. The front bald tire wouldn't make it to the DFW area. i wanted a brand new tire on the Front Left, so that I would be able to make it there. I did not want the back tires touched at all, and at one point had two new back tires. I've gone to a dozen alignment shops and all have refused to align the front tires. read more

Today was day 3 of my cross country roadtrip and Riley made this journey so much better. His knowledge & great customer service superseded my expectations and he made sure I was comfortable with the purchase. He gave a recommendation that didn't cost the most or seemed super outrageous. He gave me reasonable discount friendly advice. I served 8 years in the US Navy and this Discount Tire definitely treats its SVM right! Thank you Riley and team :) read more

My car doesn't use regular air in the tire and uses hydrogen which only a few places have. Every time the temperature drops my tire pressure drops. Instead of driving 30 minutes to the dealer, this store has been a savior. They are very helpful and every time I have to get air in my tires this store helps out at no charge. read more

We were traveling for the day from Las Cruces, NM & ended up with a flat tire right after breakfast. What a nightmare! But THANK GOODNESS Discount Tire was close to us. We got there, waited outside due to social distancing regulations, and got in and out. Got 4 new tires installed within 2-3 hrs. However, once we got into the car, we noticed that the tires were not at the right PSI so we had to drive it to the back again for them to fix it, so they could've been more detail oriented. It could've been a lot worse for us, so we're so glad to have had these nice guys at Discount Tire! TIP: The guys here will most definitely try to sell you on more than you wanted, so keep an open mind & figure out what's best for you. They aren't extremely knowledgeable about tires, but will show you user reviews & a website for you to compare different tires which we found moderately helpful. They're friendly, and a tiny bit pushy, but it is expected at all tire places. Thanks! read more

This used to be my go-to tire shop, but I will not be returning after my recent experience. I feel the staff tried to take advantage of the fact that I was a female. After buying 3 new tires (which was needed due to the tread depth being at 3.32) they tried to tell me I needed to pay an additional $90 to replace all the lug nuts because they were worried about stripping them. The car is a 2016 and in good shape. Never in my life has a shop told me all my lug nuts were "going bad" and that it was a "serious safety concern." I told them I would make a call and see. I called an old friend who is a mechanic and who has worked in tire sales and they told me they have never experienced this before or charged anyone for this before either. The staff never returned to discuss the lug nuts after the phone call and my car was ready about 15min later. TLDR: They will try to take advantage of customers who they believe don't know much about vehicles. Ask questions and do your research. I hope this helps others read more

I've been buying my tires at Discount Tire in various cities since I was a teen because that's where my parents went. In just about the half dozen cities I've resided and utilized Discount Tire, I've been a pleased client. They repair tire whenever possible and replace at no charge with their road hazard warranty. I feel like the people who work here are honest and ethical. They are often busy, but that's just because they're popular. I usually make an appointment or have someone pick me up so I don't have to wait. They recently added a new drive they line for their customers to come get free air in their tires by one of their technicians without even having to get out of the car. I drive assured my tires are always properly inflated! read more

I like coming to this specific Discount Tire location. It's close to the house and the service has mostly been good for me. I haven't been in awhile because I go to Sam's for my car/tire needs these days. Sam's is a little bit cheaper than Discount Tire. I mostly went to Discount Tire prior to getting a membership at Sam's. This Discount Tire often has a long wait, especially on Saturdays! It's best to get there as early as possible. I always tried to arrive as soon as they open, at 8 am or so. I'm a morning person so that's perfect for me. I'm usually awake by 5, 6 am, sometimes 4 am. I would also recommend going on a weekday. Wednesdays or Thursdays are probably the best days. They're closed on Sundays so you have people rushing in on Mondays. People are off from work on Saturdays so there's that. I like that Discount Tire will check/fix a flat tire for no charge. They'll repair the tire instead of making you purchase another one if at all possible. Tires for my car are not that cheap. One tire usually costs at least $130 give or take. I'm always thrilled when they can fix it without me purchasing another one. Also, I feel like the employees are honest. I don't feel like I'm being taken advantage of because I'm a woman. Unfortunately, there are still places that think they can take advantage of women when it comes to anything car related. I've had people try to pull that on me but let me just say knowledge is power. I actually know a thing or two about cars, the maintenance of them, etc. I'm not saying I'm an expert but I know more or less what things cost on average. Prices have for sure gone up! I would come here as a backup to Sam's. I believe there's still Oasis Tires down the street but I'm not crazy about going there. They sell cheaper, used tires at Oasis but the service isn't great there. They're nicer and more professional here. read more

Horrible wait time and useless service for dropping vehicle or for picking it up. And the staff are no where close to being decent at the job in the front. Only good thing is they do flat Tire repair for free read more

There are several locations. I have tried three of them. I prefer the location at Transmountain and I-10, Westside. Their estimates of wait times are very accurate, they suggested a couple option with the price, pros and cons for each. Great people, Service, value and the best hassle free tire warranty compared to others. Wait times can be long on weekends, but they have a pretty good virtual line system that helps and prioritizes those with appointments. Big shout out to team on Mesa for always having great service, even on busy days with an office full of people, not easy to do unless one gots a well staffed and dedicated team. I give less than 1 star. Im a 2 decade customer. I went in Hondo pass location to get a nail out. My tires still have good thread and lifetime warranty. The tech kept trying to make a sale instead of taking nail out. I spoke to manager. He told me its not under warranty if tire tread less than a certain inch. What IS THE LIFETIME WARRANTY FOR THEN? Liars. They upset me so bad i will never do business with them again. I went down the street to another tire place and they took nail out /patched it. No problems, he said. You still got 6 to 12 months usage on the tire. 10 bucks. Thanks and discount tire lost a good customer. read more

I sure hope I have the correct location and this is for the Gateway location. This review is late, my apologies to the awesome gentleman, Jose, that helped us about 5 weeks ago. My daughter and I were traveling from Austin to Phoenix to visit my other daughter, and about 20 minutes before El Paso our low tire pressure gage came on. We were staying at the Holiday Inn Express about 2 miles away from Discount and we were so lucky it was so close. It was too late to get there before they closed so we went first thing in the morning. Tire was totally flat. Stopped at a gas station on a back road in a neighborhood, aired it up, made it to Discount, air holding. (screw in the tire) Jose helped us, got us in way sooner than anticipated, too. And we were able to hit the road and make into Tempe by later afternoon. Jose was kind, personable, and so helpful!! I would definitely see him as a successful manager for this company. He was professional and understanding, and just pleasant to talk with. So, thank you Jose!!! read more

With hesitance, I leave poor reviews because I don't desire to hurt local businesses. Be cautious and aware that Discount Tires uses carefully scripted sales that could be deceptive. A couple of weeks after I bought a new car I hit a object that serious damaged one of the tires. I had Discount Tires replace it with the same brand at a premium price. Later I developed problems with the bought tire and they denied they sold it to me. They went through a sales script attempting to sell me four new tires with out any credit for the tire they sold me prior and still under warranty. The sales pitch was clever. I went to COSTO and bought four new premium tires at a lower price than the budget tires they proposed to me. Buyer beware. read more

Stopped in to have tire pressure checked. Employee insisted on over inflating the tires, even when I informed him that I was not comfortable with that. After leaving the premises I researched the issue and learned that over-inflating can cause serious problems. read more

I've been a loyal customer of Discount Tire purchasing tires for vehicles and trailers for many years. Arrived at the North Mesa store with truck and trailer to purchase 4 new tires for my dually and possibly 4 for my trailer. Parked as not to block traffic on the lot and one employee looked at me for 15 minutes as I stood there, serviced two customers who were behind me. I walked inside and spoke with another employee who informed me he gave the order that I get in line. I informed him of what transpired ... zero. They lost over $2k from me today along with my business. read more

Had a flat tire and discovered my warranty expired two days ago. The guys at Discount Tire were extremely helpful. I was told me my tire was fixable and I didn't have to purchase one. I will always recommend and return to Discount Tire when I need them! Thanks guys! read more

This Discount location helped us out tremendously! We were on our way back to Houston from California when my tire went flat on I-10. Luckily we were down the road from them. So we called to make sure they could put a new tire on even though they were closing in 30 minutes. We finally got there right after they were supposed to close and they still were willing to help us out. I would definitely recommend this place.
