Their employees (in this case, David) have always been incredibly professional, but I have had a set of Yokahamas last 80,000 miles on a pick-up several years ago. Today, I swap out at 40,000 miles. I had gotten a flat tire, but luckily I was parked outside one of my fav food establishments and not crossing Transmountain! I called my roadside assistance from my State Farm Auto Insurance and there were there in no time. The guy changes the tire and put on the "donut" spare and made sure he informed me that I cannot go over 59 miles an hour with the spare. There is a Discount Tire near me by the Outlet Mall so I headed over there. Yes, there were lots of customers but they checked me in right away. They had the luxury tires for my Lincoln IN STOCK- ALL FOUR OF THEM! This is not the norm when I have to replace a tire. So, even though I was not planning to spend so much $$$ at Christmas time, I was grateful to not have to wait a week for tires to come in from somewhere else. After a crazy and hectic morning, this Discount Tire saved me from a heart attack LOL. Long story short, I was traveling from Mexico to Phoenix. I got 2 flats in Mexico at the same exact time, had to use 2 spares to get me to the border and cross over. At this point, I was extremely overwhelmed and stressed. I began calling multiple tire places for wait times and pricing. As soon as I called this location, I was sold. The man over the phone answered my questions and put the 2 tires on hold for me. As I arrived, I got to work with Steven. Steven was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, he made everything so easy and gave me recommendations on tires for my Camry. came in for a rotation after having spent $900 on tires here 6 months earlier. not at all busy but was still told it would be 2 1/2 hour wait---- for a tire rotation. made an appointment for the following day. I was there 15 minutes early and once again it seemed like a slow day. this time I was told it would be ready in one hour and 15 minutes. don't know what the point is in making an appointment. your still taken whenever they can get to it. I asked the desk agent if they could blow some air on the brakes before putting the tires back on since by brakes were squedking. he said "no we don't do that." what would it have cost them. they do it at the oil change places anytime I ask them to. service has really changed for the worse at Discount. read more

Arron was a HUGE help! We are so thankful for the team! We had a blowout in the middle of the night. Tow truck dropped us off at 3:30am. We slept in the car with our two golden retrievers waiting for the store to open. When opened, we found out they didn't have our tire size. Brought in tire to fix leak, they'll do anything to force you to purchase new ones instead. The pinhole was over 1.5 inches away from the sidewall. Not only would they not repair it they refused to reinflate it and used the spare instead. Will not be back. read more

Discount Tire always has pretty exceptional service each time I visit. I often shop around for my tires and sometimes Discount Tire is not my first choice when purchasing my tires depending on how much I have to spend. However, I do consider their assortment of tires to have been some of the best I have purchased. Normally when I visit Discount Tire is to get my tire air pressure checked, tires inspected and my rotations done. They always do an exceptional job and they are pretty quick but especially thorough. My most recent visit I purchased some tires online and scheduled and appointment for a few days later because they did not have the tires I ordered in stock and I had to wait. Within the next day that I placed the order the store called me and asked me the reasons why I chose the tire I picked and offered a better tire that they had in stock for the same price. They knew I needed my tires replaced so offered to promptly set up an appointment that day. I researched the tires they offered me and while they were not like a huge upgrade they were still better than the tires I was ordering. I applaud Discount Tire for taking the time to get a hold of me and offer another tire so I could get my old ones promptly replaced. I recommend Discount Tire to all of my friends especially when getting their air pressure checked. Like I said they are pretty thorough and always check out your tire tread and make sure you are good to go for the road. I always stop by before taking road trips because they have always been honest with me when it came down to getting my tires replaced or not. read more

Affordable prices and good customer service. I happened to go at noon on a Sunday which wasn't a good idea. I was immediately greeted & when 1 of the guys working the front desk was available he approached me. He was obviously observant because he knew what I drove up in & asked for my keys & did the rest. I was told it would be about 1.45 - 2 hrs, but it actually took 2 1/2 but poor guys were completely swapped. Customer after customer and they kept the ball rolling. Kudos!!! A simple air check on my tires is all I wanted. A neat little perk of Discount's that's normally a breeze to use at the east side location I go to was HORRIBLE at this location. The normal air check area entrance was blocked by a customer's camping trailer so I parked and went inside to ask what to do. After waiting 20 minutes to ask a single question, I was told to simply park by the orange cones and that would be done. "Finally", I though but after an additional 10 minutes of waiting in the car, I was finally fed up and just left. A half hour wasted and nothing to show for it! I like Discount Tire but i will definitely not be using this one. read more

Fantastic! I made an appointment online and was seen promptly. Unfortunately, I was under the impression they do tire alignments but they don't. They offered free tire rotation, which was great! Since I made the 40 minute drive to their location. Every staff member I encountered was great, they were very helpful, nice and quick! I was in and out of there within 20 minutes. I have drove from LA to El Paso and I am continuing on to DC.....this store was almost the worse but turned out to be one of the two best I have dealt with(there has been three in the past two weeks....me and tires on my 5th wheel are having issues). I blew my wheel bearings out on the way from Albuquerque and jacked up one tire. When I took the tire in, I didn't understand the warranty but the guy didn't explain why the tire wasn't covered....he just told me the price and I said I would be back in a few days to fix it. A few days(after replacing my axle) I went back to pick up the tire. The gentleman that helped today not only explained the warranty, but gave us a military discount. It is only a few dollars, but it makes me an even more loyal customer when they thank my husband for his service. Hence, 5-stars ;) read more

I don't know if everyone who works here is rude, disrespectful and insensitive but the guy who "helped" me, Jeff, certainly was all of the above. I went in for a tire repair. After waiting patiently in line, I get to the counter, Jeff greets me and I begin to tell him my tire problem. The phone rings and he gives me the universal index finger, meaning I assume, "stop talking, I'm going to help this person on the phone first". Then he proceeded to help the person on the phone while I waited another 5 minutes. I owned a small business for many years and I always thought it was standard practice that the person standing In front of you comes before the person on the phone especially if you are in the middle of helping them when the phone rings. If you MUST answer the phone, you pick it up and say something like "Thanks for calling Discount Tire, hold please, we'll be with you in a moment." Then you finish with the person who was there first and who is standing in front of you! I have never interrupted a customer to answer a phone and leave them hanging for 5 minutes, totally unprofessional. Once it's finally my turn, I guess unless the phone rings again, he listens impatiently to me, grabs my keys, goes somewhere for another 5 minutes or so until eventually I see him glance at my tire and come back in. He says "we should be able to fix that" and then, in a room entirely full of men starts asking for all of my personal information. This is a pet peeve of mine. I once actually had a man call me after he heard me giving my number to a clerk in a store. I won't go into the whole ordeal, it wasn't threatening but it was super creepy and I no longer like giving out personal info in crowded places. When I politely said, "I prefer not to give out personal information," Jeff said as rudely as possible, "well, we can just not service your car." I'm sure I looked a little shocked and I said, "I don't think there's any reason to be rude. I don't understand why you need my personal information to service my tire." Jeff said, "well if you don't want to give it to us, you can just leave." Even the guy standing next to me who could hear everything (confirming why I don't like announcing my personal info) looked at Jeff like he was being a complete jerk, because he was! Once I realized things were going south I asked Jeff for his last name so that I could discuss this interaction with someone higher up and he said he couldn't give me his last name!! Unbelievable! He wants all of my personal information but is unwilling to give me his last name! Wow! For the record, I left with his business card which obviously had his last name on it so it's clearly not some company policy that he can't give out his last name just another example of how he was behaving like a complete jerk! Sorry Discount Tire, because of Jeff, you've lost my business forever but don't worry I'll be in touch to make sure you know exactly which "Jeff" I'm talking about. I don't care how many services you offer for "free". I'd much rather pay and be treated respectfully. read more

I really can't understand why, but anyway, I called Discount to see if they could help me. Not only did they see me right away, they were professional and fixed my tire--no problem and no charge. Excellent service! Extremely friendly! I called at around 8:03 a.m. And spoke to Jesus. He was amazingly friendly and told me they didn't have a wait at the time, so he said I could get in and out relatively quickly. When I arrived, Jesus remembered it was me that called and went to take a look at my car. He performed a quick assessment and explored options (keep in mind, one of these options meant he would repair the tire for free if it was fixable.) Jesus did not try to up-sell me, but did orient me to things I may need in the future. I didn't pay anything for the tire repair! I will definitely come back when it is time to replace my tires! When it came time to get new tires, I was apprehensive. So many choices. So many lackluster reviews. Tires for my vehicle are not cheap. Knowing I'd be throwing down a big chunk of money, I went with a reliable business I had used in the past (in a different state): Discount Tire. Beforehand I had looked at their website and picked out tires that were in stock (that supposedly fit my vehicle) at this store. When I arrived at the store, the friendly associate told me the tires I had picked out would not fit properly. Say what? So the associate actually looked it up on their website for me and we found that particular brand was listed incorrectly. So with that, the next option ended up being more expensive than I originally had planned for. I knew I probably wouldn't be able to get this particular brand much cheaper elsewhere. Plus DT offers a great low cost warranty and includes free rotations and balance. I had printed off a coupon from the website beforehand too so I was still able to save a small amount in the end. I want to add in too that I didn't feel like the associate tried to up-sell at all. He was very patient and straight forward with me. That particular day, the wait time was fairly long but they were also super busy. I've been back to the same location for multiple tire rotations and pressure checks during the mid-morning hours and it's taken all of about 15 minutes to get in and out of there. The staff are always so nice. The inside facilities are clean. There is a big window with a counter and stools so you can sit and watch your vehicle being worked on. Complimentary water is available. The store staff deserve five stars but DT really needs to make sure its website is accurate. I had to tack off one star for that because paying out a few hundred dollars more than you had planned for isn't a fun surprise. read more

We had a few bad experiences with the Discount Tire on N. Mesa, but our tires were under warranty when one of them got a nail stuck in it. We went to the Discount Tire in Canutillo, just by the Outlet Shoppes. The tires were less than a year old so they patched the tire and gave us a credit towards new tires. We got a whole new set of tires, and since it was during a promotion and we had the credit we ended up getting the set of 4 for more than half off what it would have normally been. I went back to get new tires on a vehicle we had recently purchased. For the tires on our car and new tires for the new vehicle both times we were in and out in less than an hour. The staff was very courteous and professional. The place is also very clean. Shortly after getting the second set of tires I got a bolt in my rear tire. We went back to this shop and it took them less than 15 minutes to replace the tire, and because it was under warranty all we had to do was sign a piece of paper and we were on our way. This shop definitely makes up for the bad service at the N. Mesa shop. UPDATE: Took the vehicle here for a rotate and balance before heading out of town. While putting the vehicle on the lift they damaged the plastic panels between the body and the frame under the car. I cannot even express how angry and disappointed I am that this chain continues to fail. All Discount Tires in EL have lost my business for good. Before moving here I loved DT and used them often, but not here. read more

Much prefer this location over the one on Mesa. I've used this location twice for tires. Used them about a month ago, it was a slow night there, I just needed 2 tires and they had me in and out within 30 minutes. That was a blessing as I had my 6 month old with me and once she wakes up, she requires all of my attention. Staff was friendly, facilities were clean. This location is great even if they are busy because places to eat and the outlet mall are within walking distance. Definitely recommend this Discount Tire. read more

I didn't know how great Discount Tire was or I would have come here in the first place for my Fuel Wheels on my RAM 2500. The place Prestige Custom Rides where I bought my Fuel Wheels in Mesa, Arizona has originally jerry rigged the bolts on and when we were in Texas the cap flew off on the freeway. When we contacted Prestige they would not take responsibility for their fault installation and wanted to charge us for a replacement cap. So we called Fuel Wheels at their headquarters and they indicated they only deal with their dealers for a warranty issue and now that we're in Texas we asked who we should go to get a replacement cap and they recommended Discount Tires because they are an authorized dealer and a great outfit. So we contacted the closest Discount Tire which is the Canutillo location right across the street from the outlet mall, we told Louie our situation and he indicated he would be happy to order the part for us. We had wholeheartedly expected to pay for the replacement cap, much to our surprise, Louie said that Discount Tire would be happy to help us and not only did they pick up the cost of cap but installed it for free. Even though we had purchased our tires at Costco which includes tire rotations for free, Louie told us that they do free tire rotations even if they didn't sell you the tires. I did not realize how incredibly professional Discount Tire is, had I known I would have bought my wheels and tires from this establishment and Louie was one of the most respectful associate I've spoken to in retail in quite some time. Discount Tire should be proud to have him as an associate he certainly has made us a customer for life. 5 Stars for Discount Tire thanks to Louie's professionality as well as their store policies. Update 11/29: They have a window and you can watch how they work on your vehicle, incredibly professional I'm amazed how efficient the process was and for free at that. Costco just lost my business. Discount Tire just stole the show. We made an appointment for 9AM and we were checked in right away very punctual no waiting around. What you see is what you get. read more

Had a tire failure on our RV while driving along I-10. Pulled into this tire dealer to get a replacement so we had a spare. They sold me a tire with maximum pressure of 85psi, but put in 112psi. I sure hope they didn't damage the tire. They should know better and be more careful. read more
