So killing 2 birds with one stone seems to be my motto this week. Took the kids to gymnastics open…read moregym for $5 each kid at El Paso Gymnastics and realized after I'm due for an oil change. The gym had my number on file and assured me my kids were being watched over by instructors and I made my way to the car. I usually go to Costco for my oil change but since there's only one in El Paso, the wait is usually horrendous. I saw that the gym faced a autobody shop (Coronado Autobody) and I walked there and asked the mechanics if they had time for an oil change. They explained I had to go around to the front office and ask the receptionist, so I did. Wow, what I witnessed was CARE: Liz the receptionist asked and remembered every single client that walked in and what state of repair or disrepair their car was in. I felt like I was in good hands and then I spied a BEST OF YELP 2008 certificate on their wall, and my decision was validated. I went up and asked about the oil change not sure if they would take me 20 mins before closing. She was going to ask, but the nice mechanic came in and told her they would take me. Their prices were fair $40 for a standard oil change and $60 for full synthetic. They got me in and out of there in 20 mins. and it wasn't bells and whistles but seeing repeat clients and how much they trusted them made me feel sure they took care of my car as well. Another awesome small business in El Paso and #supportlocal

Are you FU**** kidding me!! Don't ever go there! Took my vehicle somewhere else and it wasn't even my transmission! They are garbage!

My car had stopped shifting into 3rd gear the day before I drove it in your shop. I drove it in the…read morenext day told him the problem and he checked my transmission fluid and scanned my car to pull the codes. He told me the codes came back to "internal transmission failure" when it was codes for burnt transmission fluid and the overdrive solenoid/TCC. After he figured this out, he came back in and told me worse case scenario it would need a new torque converter (which doesn't make sense since it wasn't slipping) and quoted me 1500$ to replace it. He then told me it would cost 3000$ to overhaul the transmission, but it would cost me 200$ to diagnose it further. After I figured this out I was floored and decided to deal with it on my own. After one simple Google search I figured out it was TCC boost valve clip. Infact this is such a common problem with these transmissions that dodge sells an updated version of this part. I spent 40$ and two hours fixing my transmission when your shop wanted to charge me thousands. This was the first time I have taken a vehicle to a shop to have work done on it, and it was an unbelievably terrible experience. You run a shop full of thieves .

Outstanding service at a great price! From the get-go,…read morecustomer service representative named Katy was warm and friendly. I towed in my Diesel, a Jetta TDI, and the mechanics quickly got to work. My Turbocharger had blown due to catastrophic failure and I also needed a new intercooler along with a clock spring to fix my horn. They allowed me to purchase parts from my favorite online retailer. I brought the parts in and they got me up and running in no time at a great price. I wanna thank all the folks including Stuart, Andre and Jacob down @J&S Auto Works for the great job! Thanks a bunch!

We have been taking our cars to J&S since we arrived here in EP in 2015…read more My car overheated downtown and I asked our realtor if she knew a dependable shop I could have the car towed to. Since then, J&S has worked on all of our cars, RVs and travel trailer. Stuart never says no...he tries to figure it out. If it is not something he does / can do, he tells you so and recommends a shop that does. His rates are more than fair and when he fixes something, it works. I also appreciate that he allows us to purchase the parts. We don't go anywhere else! Update Oct 3 2018 - He really goes above and beyond. The rear axle on our RV broke. The whole rear end had to be replaced. His friend was selling an RV with a similar rear end to ours. We bought it, had it towed to a friend's land. Stuart and crew removed the rear end and other parts, installed it, then modified the driveshaft. Once again she rides! Jun 2019-Since then, he replaced all the cylinders on my Chevy SSR. I bought it with the convertible top inop, joined an SSR forum, got step by step instructions w/photos on how to replace all the cylinders and he took it an ran with it. I now have a fully functional SSR convertible! He is also working on my husband's GMC Sierra.
