Had an appointment at 2 pm but they didn't get my car back until almost 4 pm. However, when they did get the car back the staff was very competent and friendly, and made the right assessment. When they didn't feel they could make the repair, they communicated clearly and didn't charge me. read more

AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS! I WISH I COULD GIVE ZERO STARS! On 8/5/2026, I took my car to the Firestone at 7240 N. Mesa St., El Paso, TX, for an appointment to have my AC inspected and serviced. I knew something was wrong with it, but I wasn't sure what the issue was. After performing their initial diagnostic, I was told that a valve was leaking due to normal wear and tear and needed to be replaced. I was also told they would recharge the AC system and that, after the repair, my AC would be good to go. The total cost was $415, so I agreed to the work. I waited for four hours. When they finally came back to me, they told me they had emptied and refilled the refrigerant, but then determined that my AC expansion valve needed to be replaced because it was clogged. They quoted me over $500 more. I asked whether the $500+ was the new total or an additional charge. They told me it was additional because they would have to empty and refill the refrigerant again. I asked why the clogged valve wasn't identified before they refilled the system the first time. Their explanation was that they had to refill it first in order to determine whether the valve needed to be replaced. At that point, I told them I would not be having any additional work done there and left. Unfortunately, my AC was actually working worse than it had been when I arrived. Two days later, I took my car to a local mechanic for a second opinion. He asked me whether Firestone had told me they recharged the AC system. I said yes and explained that I had paid for that service. He then checked the system and told me there was ZERO refrigerant in it. According to him, there should have still been refrigerant in the system if it had actually been properly recharged. He also inspected the AC expansion valve and told me that the valve was fine. The reason the AC wasn't working was because there was no refrigerant in the system. I am extremely disappointed by my experience with Firestone, both with the quality of the service and what I feel was a serious lack of honesty and transparency. I was charged for work that, according to the mechanic who inspected my car afterward, had not actually been completed. I was then told I needed to pay an additional $500+ for a repair that turned out not to be necessary. As a woman, I also can't help but feel that they took advantage of the situation. It's the middle of summer in El Paso, I needed my AC fixed, and I was relying on them to be honest about what was wrong with my vehicle. Instead, I left feeling like I had been taken advantage of because of my circumstances. The amount they ultimately wanted me to spend was so high that I could have nearly replaced the entire AC system in my car for that price. Thankfully, I found a local mechanic who took the time to properly inspect my vehicle and, most importantly, treated me fairly and honestly. I will NEVER take my car to another Firestone again. I strongly recommend getting a second opinion before agreeing to expensive repairs here. UPDATE: I did submit a complaint through their corporate website. I was reached out to a few days later and have since been fully refunded. They said they would check to make sure their machines are calibrated correctly and speak with the tech to see what happened during the service. read more

I went on Wednesday afternoon for an oil change and was told they could not take me until Saturday at 8:00 a.m. On Saturday I arrived a couple of minutes early and told them I'd wait for it. At 10:00 a.m. I was still waiting. I walked back up to the desk and was told that a clouple of the bays were tied up with cars that had been left overnight so they were running slow. what kind of a lame excuse is that. no credibility on appointments (they themselves scheduled). no respect for customer's time. don't ever bother scheduling an appt. here. read more

While service provided tends to be good, store manager incessantly up-sells. . .to the point that I have lost trust in the shop and always look for a second opinion. It is a sad contrast to the Harvey Firestone quote on honesty prominently displayed. I hope management change will be forthcoming! read more

Great service, took care of my issue with no problems. Was in and out in no time. Customer service was great, I will be going back so they can work on my other cars. read more

After scheduling an appointment to have a Full Vehicle Inspection to confirm issues i knew existed, i had a high level of expectations from ASE CERTIFIED TECHNICIANS. I was severely and aggressively disappointed that found one mediocre issue which does not need any attention at the moment, and one issue that a Toddler could find that needs attention but they said they could not work on it today, or that they could not use the parts i already had to fix it. They wanted to sell me tires but they did not have Rims to sell with them. They also could not do the work today for the tires. When a Customer comes to "Firestone Full Service" location, the expectations are that they are FULL SERVICE and can repair any issues that are found during the appointment. I was looking forward to having my concerns not only confirmed but for them to have a Plan in order how to resolve those issues, TODAY. I will not go back nor will i recommend FIRESTONE to anyone. read more

This place is the worst customer service ever!!! I brought in a car for a quick state inspection. They told me that it would take about an hour. No issues. I left the car there. I came back over 2 hours later and it wasn't done and they told me it wasn't a priority since they don't really make any money on inspections. I asked them how much longer and they told me a couple hours. (Keep in mind this takes only about 20 minutes to do). So after another two hours I called back and they told me they hadn't gotten to it. So I told them to forget it. I would come and pick it up and take it elsewhere. Well, as I am going to pick it up, they call and said it was done. Unbelievable!! I will never use them again for anything (we have used them for over a year for all our vehicles) Customer service is EVERYTHING! Don't go here. It's all about the money for them--not taking care of their customers!!! read more

If you have a company vehicle, do kot bring it here. Took car in for service, at 8 am. Told the guy if any issues, call the third-party service company. He says we din't even talk to them anymore. Its all done electronically. I called at 11 AM and they said they still have not heard back from third-party and they say they called and that no one is answering are closed and no one is answering. I called the third-party service. They answered immediately and they looked in the system and they say that all the items have been approved . The third-party agency says she will call Firestone to let them know everything's been approved. Not ready till 4 PM. Wait for them to call me I wait for a call but nothing. I call at 4 PM and they tell me the car is ready. "We called you" I look on my cell phone. There is no messages . When I go pick up the car. They tell me "Oh we called them and they couldn't find our ticket so I had to redo a whole different ticket". Obviously somebody was not telling the truth. I'll Never ring my car this place again. read more

Had an alignment appointment at 10, sat there until 11:30 when the brought the truck around I noticed the didn't rotate the tires like I asked. Sat there for another 25 minutes once I left I looked they only rotated the fronts side to side, that's not what I asked for. Not only that I also asked them to please make sure my steering wheel was straight after the alignment it's severely way off, I would recommend taking your business elsewhere as this place doesn't seem to care read more

Pretty and confusing business practices. I scheduled an appointment for 4pm and got a confirmation. Then they called to tell me that they were already booked for that time but said I could bring it in at that moment? When I got there it was pretty dead. I came in for an oil change and they recommended about $800+ worth of maintenance for 2 struts and 2 tires on a Toyota. They charge $82 for a synthetic oil change, which I had a coupon for to $54.99. I somehow still ended up overpaying even with the coupon. Pretty bad experience. Not really the employees fault when it comes to deceptive pricing. More like corporate level tactics. read more

I stopped at Firestone to get my mom's battery changed out. They fixed it within an hour and a half without an appointment. Also they pointed out some other repairs needed on the car and also pulled out a nail that caused a slow leak in one of the tires. The store workers offer good service. read more

In October of last year, I had my vehicles cooling system worked on at this Auto Care business which included the replacement of the Engine Coolant Thermostat Heater Control Circuit. And this month my vehicle's dashboard Power Train System light had turned on. I then had the problem independently diagnosed twice which revealed that it was the Thermostat causing the problem. I then made an appointment at the Auto Care business to have the problem resolved. On the day of my appointment, I spoke to the Store Manager named Albert who addressed the problem successfully. He even took the time to provide me with periodic updates on the status of the work being completed during my wait time. read more

It's 7am in the morning and service manager name frank was very rude. He tell me I need a mask with attitude, then my friend was on the phone and he said he couldn't hear him, so he speaks a little louder on the phone and tells me rudely that I need to step outside to tell him to calm down. Then another customer comes in and he don't even tell him to put a mask. Funny. read more

I made an appointment for Monday at 8 am thinking it may speed up the process. I was a little late to the appointment probably 20-25 mins. I wasn't able to drop it off so I stayed, thinking it may take a couple of hours. The guy at the desk checked my car and verified my information including my phone number. It took them forever; 6 hours and 50 mins to do two things. I wanted them to check my brakes because they were squeaking and change my oil. It took them so long to do those two things and didn't seem to care. The person at the desk saw me ALL DAY in the lobby as I was working on my computer. He asked me if he just spoke to me on the phone? No, I been here the whole time. He ended up having my phone number wrong ‍. When I drove off I noticed that they did not put a Firestone next oil change sticker on my windshield, that's important because that's the easiest way to remind the customer when it's time to change oil and where they went last time. All of this shit is common sense and I don't think corporate would approve any of these issues It could be time to search for new mechanic shop with better service. read more

Its difficult to find a auto care place where you feel that the staff is honest and helpful, I'm so glad I found Firestone @ Mesa. The entire staff is friendly and professional, especially Chris, Mike & David. I initially went to this location because I was told by another mechanic I needed car repair for a specific part. I had that part inspected at the Firestone on Mesa and the staff at Firestone cleared up all my confusion and told me I didnt need that repair the other place was claiming. I've been loyal to the guys at Firestone ever since, even when I moved across the city I never mind making the drive to get work done. read more

First off, it doesn't matter where you go, if it's a good shop it's gonna be busy, and if it's busy it might take longer than 10 minutes to get a service. Way to many negative reviews on here about them taking to long. It's an auto shop. It's gonna take some time, I worked with Pete at the front desk. I have a 21 year old car, that I mostly work on myself. I explained exactly what I needed checked and what I needed done. Unlike most auto shops they did something shocking; they did exactly what I asked. They told me what they thought needed to be fixed and didn't try to upset me any other BS, even though they could have. Lord knows there's plenty to do on a 21 year old car. They were straight with me and to the point. It's a mark of a good shop when they know how to read their customer. They didn't treat me like a fool, and they respected my requests with what I wanted done to my car. From my experience, this is a trustworthy shop. read more

I wish I could give this place zero. I went in for an oil change and inspection. After that, I noticed oil leaks in my garage, I took it back. They wanted to replace the gaskets on my oil pan. I never had a leak until I took it to them for an oil change. I decided not to let them touch it again. I took it to the dealer. My dealer replaced the oil pressure switch because it was leaking. It did not solve the issue. I had additional leaks on the cover of the timing chain and the oil pan. It was suggested that perhaps someone had tried to forcefully remove the plug and resulted in additional damage on other parts. Do not take your car to this location even for the simplest care of your car. I am now looking at spending over 1000 bucks to replace all the damage parts. read more

I scheduled an appointment and when I arrived I was told it would take almost 2 hours just to plug a tire. The guy at the front desk told me 2 appointments came in right before me so that made my wait time even longer. Thought the whole purpose of making an appointment was so I could get in and out and not get bumped by other people who were late to their appointment? The guy acted like it was t a big deal. Definitely won't go back. read more

Firestone Complete Auto Care - Tires Near Me - El Paso, Texas

Chose this place to have a new set of tires installed on my Tacoma and get an alignment. First off the store is clean, prices are fair and the staff are courteous. With that being said the work they do is slow! Took over 4 hours to have a set of tires installed and aligned. They failed to keep me updated on the status of my vehicle despite sitting in their waiting area for over 4 hours! They offered no compensation for the prolonged wait time and only gave a brief "sorry for the wait, your vehicle was difficult to work on." Needless to say I won't be returning to firestone for any work anytime soon. There are plenty of other local options that I will be supporting in the future. Very disappointed. read more

I called and set up an appointment for 1:30. The guy on the phone said it wouldn't be more than an hour to get a wheel alignment. I show up at 1:15 and sit in the dirty waiting area till 2:50 and my car still wasn't in the shop! I said screw this I'll just do it myself and left. What's the point of setting up appointments if you don't adhere to them. The level of Incompetence with car shops everywhere is ridiculous. read more

Wish I could give this place zero stars.Took my car in for a rattling noise near the muffler, 6 hours later they told me I had an engine problem and new brakes and charged me $1,300 for all the work they did. I paid it since it's my only car and I cannot afford to be without one, so I take the maintenance very seriously. On my drive home, the brakes were squeaking, rattling noise was still there. Had to take it back. All of a sudden they found another really "serious" problem with a belt and they replaced it for another couple of hundred dollars I pay it because at this point I've already been there waiting for 6 hours and I'm not wasting the rest of my day looking for another mechanic. Took it home, and the rattle is still there, brakes are still squeaking and a car is now rattling whenever I'm decelerating. IT'S GOTTEN WORSE. At this point I'm furious that I've put this much money into the car and it's gotten worse, plus it's my third time needing to take it to the shop and I'm terrified they will charge me again. So I take it to my usual firestone inside of ft. Bliss instead. Take it for a drive, they hear me out on all the issues and they fix it for free. They basically had to redo all the work that was done at this firestone. They redid the brakes and the alignment and the rattle was just a simple mount that was loose and they tightened. I'm so upset I paid so much, went two different times and wasted a total of 12 hours just to get my car back in worse condition. This place has horrible reviews when you look them up online, trust the reviews and avoid this place. I really wish I had. read more

I am extremely dissatisfied with the level of service I received at this Firestone location. I made an appointment for 11:00AM for the following services. Oil change, battery replacement, air filter, and replace new lights. I dropped off my car and never got an update. I had to call several times to check the status. I finally received a call at 7:00pm letting me know it was ready. I assumed all the services had been completed since it had been there 8 hours. Come to find out none of the services except a shitty oil change had been done. The guy lied to our face and said they checked everything and that everything was fine. Well it wasn't, the battery was the main reason we took it in. Just to confirm we knew something was wrong with the battery, we drove to O'reileys and sure enough the battery was bad. My point to this complaint is, don't trust these guys to get the work done. They're unreliable and unprofessional. They lost my trust and I'm never coming here again. Lastly, I will be asking that all my employees go elsewhere. read more

I have been waiting outside for 12 minutes now for someone to come help me. I am in the Oil Change area waiting for someone to come up to my car like every other Firestone. I see a bunch of workers, just talking to each other (some even looked at me then laughed as if they were purposely trying to make me wait). I have been to many Firestone's before and they are usually pretty friendly.
