Not a fan of Firestone for many reasons first one being is that for something simple they always take much longer than expected/told. Second (specifically this location) feels like you are dealing with people that are trying to push every last item onto you to make sure you spend more than you should. While there I got priced two different prices by two different people. When they did an inspection the to do list of fixes and the price tag was so high that I will be going to a local mechanic to get a second opinion since one of the recommendations was that I needed to replace both front and back windshield whippers and that my whipper fluid was low/empty. Windshield whippers were replaced 6 months ago and work like new. So once I saw that I did not feel comfortable trusting the other recommended fixes. I only come here because they have a specific tire that I am looking for but 100% would not come to Firestone if I can help it. This is my own experience, but I never leave feeling that I trust them and when it comes to spending so much money you want to feel like you are being taken care of. read more

If you're looking for no attention to detail, you found it. Maybe my issues are caused by my perception of quality of repair due to my prior work experience as a service writer. I did not get a new reminder for my next oil change in my window, no email invoice hours after I paid nor any recommendations on suggestions on a car over 20 years old with limited service due to my dad's age. When I called the corporation they told me it's okay for them not to provide me with a receipt in a timely fashion. How far has the customer service department fallen. Back in the day I'd be sitting in front of my boss explaining WHY I provided such poor service, yet today it seems excepted. What do you get for a grand? High mark ups, no attention to detail and poor customer service on all levels. Bottom line? If your looking for a good deal, attention to detail look further as this misses the mark. So this is a little tough to gauge because I last got serviced over 10k miles ago at 120k. I've got my car brand new in 2020, I commute daily and often take road trips. I usually like this shop because they do waaay better work than my dealership. However 10k miles ago when I went in for a full diagnostic and oil change, when my car was returned to me, my EPC light was on which wasn't before when I dropped it off. I immediately turned around and had them fix the issue in which the team members (which was different than the usual team here I work with) told me there was nothing wrong and it would turn of after a few minutes of driving. But after I emphasized the issue and that the EPC light was not on before the diagnostic they ended up "fixing" it. 10k miles later at 130k, I decided it was time to change my original spark plugs and do my own oil change. After the fact I could feel that my car would jump into gear whenever I accelerated. From having this car brand new, I know everything that's ever happened to this vehicle so this kicking was brand new. But how could this be when all I did was change spark plugs and do an oil change? Surely it must be the spark plugs? Today I pulled out the new spark plugs and compared them to the originals to see if maybe there was user error and I damaged them or O'Reillys gave me the wrong plugs? As I inspected and saw that there was no damage I noticed a plug that was disconnected. More than just disconnected broken with a ZIP TIE fixed to it!? Picture attached for reference. After noticing this I couldn't help but remember this incident with the shop. I really hope that my EPC light fix was not just a zip tie and that this shops works better on their accountability and communication, I really like these guys but this is a stain on their track record for me. read more

Beware!!! I had an appointment at 5 PM. I called at 4 o'clock to make sure they had time to work on my car. I was told yes they could get to it and I'll see you in a few minutes. I arrive to my appointment 15 minutes early. Once I get there, they check in my car. Everything seems fine until they quote me a fee that is really high. I said wait a minute. My husband brings his car here and he doesn't pay that much so Harlan at the front desk then tells me if I get a credit card he'll take money off. I tell him no I don't want a credit card keeps trying to upsell me on all kinds of credit cards once I tell them once for all I'm not getting a credit card. He pauses for a few minutes and then tells me they can't get to my car today after all. So shady!!! Don't ever pay for one of their lifetime warranties!!!!! I would highly suggest to take your vehicle for any needs somewhere else. I was scheduled to bring my vehicle in 9am to have an alignment job done "within a hour or two." I never received a message to come pick the car up or if it was done, so I give it some time. I head to the shop around 1pm only to find out that the car was never even moved into a bay and still in the same parking spot I left it at. Anyways, My car coolant temperature dashboard went all the way HIGH and went in there due to their `discounted diagnostic`. Good thing I had a second opinion and the real mechanic tested everything and they said the only problem in my car was the radiator isn`t turning on properly when on idle or traffic. I'm surprised by the negative reviews for Firestone, as I had a positive experience. I visited them for a warranty claim on my EV tires due to premature wear and tire chunking. The technician, James, was excellent! He immediately saw the issue and tried to file a claim, but the warranty department was closed on Saturday. He called me first thing Monday with the good news that Bridgestone approved a 50% discount on four new tires. When I returned the next week to have the tires installed, James wasn't there, but Omar at the front desk provided great service. The tire change took the entire estimated three hours, and I'm very happy with my new tires. Everyone I interacted with was professional and helpful. The prices here were competitive and on par with other tire shops. If you have to wait, there's a coffee shop in the supermarket across the lot, or you can relax in one of the chairs in their lobby. It's located in the same parking lot as the Sun Valley Mall so a walk through the mall may also be a good way to pass some time. read more

I don't normally leave reviews for anything . However, the service lI received was unacceptable. I just wanted a basic maintenance check and I wasn't getting anything done. Just to check what was wrong with my car. I dropped it off at 11am and I went around the mall across the street to pass some time. It was 2:30 and I gave a call to Firestone and wanted to see if I could get an updated. A older man over the phone says they're half way done and to wait a bit longer. I understand they were busy so I brushed it off. It became 4:30 and at this point I was getting a bit frustrated. I went back to the store and spoke to Josh. I told him I dropped off my car at 11, called at 2:30 and said the store was half way done, and it is now 4:30 I would like an update. All I asked for was a maintenance check. Josh then said he would check on the guy who was working on it. I sat there waited for an hour and I did not get an update. At this point it was 5:30. I was upset and went up to a younger employee and told him the same thing. I was there at 11, 2:30 they said it was almost done, 4:30 Josh would go check and didn't come back, I'm ONLY having a maintenance check, getting nothing done and asked for an update. At that point I just wanted to leave. He said he is going to go check and came back in 2 minutes. And said along the lines of "honestly, we didn't start on your car. The only guy that does the diagnostics has been busy and he didn't get to it" and suggested to come back tomorrow since they were very busy. I'm glad that he gave me an honest update. I appreciate the honesty he gave me and he was the only one that showed me good customer service. compared to Josh and the other person on the phone who said they were half done. Yeah they were nice but there was no honesty. I wouldn't been upset if they just told me they couldn't get to it and to come back another day and earlier in the day. Yeah I wasted my whole day waiting for nothing and it was upsetting but I'm more upset that they were not communicating with me and have been honest about it. Brought my car in for a diagnostic and an oil change, because I wanted to just find out what was wrong with my car before I go and spend hundreds of dollars on it. They took 4 hours to complete the diagnostic and oil change, and I was told that my car needed $1,500 worth of repairs. I was already suspicious after the mechanic started telling me I needed things replaced that I know I likely do not actually need replaced. It's time to part ways with Firestone. I've been a loyal customer for years, but the new manager has completely changed my experience--for the worse. I've visited twice in the last few months, and both times were disappointing. 1. Unnecessary upselling. They tried to upsell me on parts that were brand new or had just been replaced. I later learned their "recommendations" are based solely on mileage rather than actual inspections. Not exactly confidence-inspiring. 2. Charged for an unnecessary alignment. I went in for an alignment and was given a printout--after being charged--that showed nothing was out of spec. When I questioned it, I was told, "Next time ask for an alignment check not an alignment." While waiting, I watched the manager sell $90 wiper blades to a customer and then laugh about it afterward. He also bragged to another employee about being a "high up-sale location," which tells you everything you need to know about the priorities here. Level of incompetence is baffling to me. I have an employee schedule an appointment for 8:00 AM. We drop another off at 8:41. They work on the one dropped off later before touching the one we are waiting for! They couldn't figure how to get approval. Would not recommend to anyone for oil changes. Unluckily, I recently caught a nail in my tire sidewall, which due to treadwear with the RR tire, necessitated buying two tires. But since my front tires are near the wear bars and the rain season is upon us, I decided I would buy all four. I have never seen this much complacency and nonchalance for a customer. I had an appointment at 10AM to replace four tires & get the alignment checked, so I waited patiently in the lounge for over four hours for someone to finally tell me they couldn't work on my car because it is lowered. To make matters worse, the only thing Nick could say to accommodate me for my time was to offer a free oil change, even though the car I brought for service was an EV. AN EV!! I was speechless and decided not to argue and walked out. What is the point of making an appointment if my car won't even be checked for FOUR hours? Even if you couldn't put my car on a lift, was no one capable to slide a jack underneath and pull off the wheels one at a time? The small tire repair shop near me was able to do this, why couldn't this large franchise shop? I decided to take my business to Firestone since they have a better selection of tires and can do the alignment which was due. I've been bringing my cars to Wheel Works-Firestone for over 30 years, including at least half a dozen sport compacts and even a couple crossovers that have been lowered, some by the shop themselves! Well they did a full inspection which I never asked for (cus they did a tune up weeks before and already inspected it) and charged me for it. On top of that I had stuff stolen from my car. The repair from the nail was supposed to be free. WHAT I received was 3-likenew tires and 1-semi-new tire costing roughly $400. I'm done. My family has been dealing with this Firestone since 2011. That's 4 cars. There was a time when the service was okay, then it became mediocre. We could handle mediocre, but service has continued to go downhill in the last few years. I once had to send a complaint to corporate for a warning light that went on after they tinkered with it and then refused to correct. They made me go to the dealer where I spent $85 for them to take a few seconds to just clear the problem. Without getting into a list of other egregious customer service details, I can say that communication in the last couple of months has been horrible. I took my car in recently for oil change and transmission fluid service. Nothing new or strange. They advertise both services. They don't do transmission fluid service anymore "because of liability ". Went to pick up my car, no communication about the final cost, and no receipt. I have a Firestone Credit Card for use at Firestone stores. However, we will be taking all of our family cars elsewhere from now on. Already discussed it as a family. We went to Firestone to do tire rotation and preventative maintenance on our Subaru. After getting a call the car was ready we arrived an hour later to pick the car up. Wife went in to get keys and came out looking for car. The car was still in the garage with hood up. Wife asked one of the mechanics to help pull car out. The mechanic just yelled for someone over his loud hip hop music. No one showed up. We asked another younger mechanic to help and all he said was I am working on my own cars. Wife went back in to let someone know that the car was still in the garage. I waited for her in my car. She came out and then another mechanic showed up and gestured to give him the keys. My wife did not walk over to him and gestured to him to come get them. He walked over with a grumpy face and got the keys and pulled the car out. Not a thank you or thanks for coming in today or whatever. There is not integrity or respect at firestone anymore. They seemed overworked and do not enjoy their work.
