I went for full synthetic oil change and Stephanie had the curtsey let me know that I needed to replace my brakes. I'm quite shocked at the amount of negative reviews for this location. I've been a customer here since 2012 with no issues ever. I was a student during my first visit & requested work done as suggested by some other mechanic. The guys at Firestone said I didn't need all that & the problem was much simpler than suggested. They even went to the extent of applying discounts & promos to bring my cost down. It felt like a father figure was helping me through the process & I was sold about being a returning customer. I have been a customer of this Firestone for over 25 years. They have new people running the place and they are not up to the challenge. I left my F-150 for service (mainly fluids) and at 5:45 the lady calls and giggles that I need to replace all 4 roaters and it would be almost $1,500. I immediately went up there and took a look myself. The backs were lightly worn but could easily be turned. I would have been fine putting pads on it! The fronts were worn but could be turned. I finally got a price from her to replace the pads and turn the roaters for around $700. I asked her how long it would take and she said 5 pm tomorrow! This is with the truck on the rack and everything open and the mechanic said he could start turning the roaters. She was trying to jerk me around and waste more of mine time and I really didn't appreciate it. The sales staff doesn't want to find solutions and obviously doesn't want my business. I feel bad for the mechanics because they are at the mercy of the poor managers up front. There were other people in there with the same experience today. Good mechanics but bad management. It's a shame since I have gone there for so long. No more. read more

I set up an appointment for an oil change and alignment for 11 AM today. When we arrived at 10:50 AM, we were were told that my car would be done by 1:30 PM. It is now 3:00 PM and my car has yet to be taken into the carport. This is ridiculous. If you are unable to handle this volume, please don't accept appointments that cannot be kept. Also, it would be greatly appreciated if we received honest, or better, estimates on the wait time. An oil change should never take this long. Ever. read more

After making and receiving an appointment to have my 10,000 mile maintenance completed for today @ 11:30. They had not even started on my car by 2:00. 2 1/2 hours later! the service is friendly, and the staff is extra helpful. i came here for an oil change and a car inspection, but left with lots of tips and advice. i just moved to texas from out of state, so joe and seth advised me to call my car insurance to switch it over to a texas policy, then fax the info over as my car was getting worked on. i waited for only about half an hour and was out the door, on my way. as i was paying, joe asked me if i wanted to open a firestone credit card, which i never do, but it made sense. there's no annual fee, and there's lots of discounts for having the card. today i saved $25 just for opening the card. there's no interest for 6 months for balances less than $2,400. plus, i get free tire repairs and free tire rotations, along with the rest of the peeps who share my address. sweet! before i left, they directed me on the next steps to take to switch my driver stuff over to texas regulations, including my license and registration. they told me where the buildings were, and helpful tips, such as the court house does not accept credit card, so i was prepared and went to the bank ahead of time :) read more

I just moved to Houston from NJ. It's very different here, transferring car info, registration, inspection. I read online I had to go to get my car inspected first and then could proceed with the registration. Saw Firestone was listed as a certified Inspection center so I went in. Connie assisted me. I am very grateful she did because I mentioned I was new to the area and had to go to the DMV after etc.... Connie informed me that I actually had to go to the Courthouse to the Tax Assessment (I believe that was the dept), even gave me the location to this office and said I can do my paperwork there. I am so thankful to Connie because I would have driven to the DPS in Houston and would have wasted most of my day because I was confused about the process. My car was inspected in a timely fashion and I really feel very relieved that Connie guided me in the right direction. I went to the courthouse immediately after getting my car inspected and had everything taken care of before 10am! Thank you! read more

I came to Firestone complete auto care located on 5400 Bellaire blv. To buy 4 brand new tires at 9: 30 AM 3 days before i made an appointment to make sure they had the tires in stock , after i made my purchase from a guy name micheal Gomez , i sit at the lobby for over 3 hrs to wait on these tires to be install. I told him i am in rush of getting to work in beaumont Tx so i am still waiting for it to be installed. I am very upset . This is not a way to do a bussiness. read more

I arrived at 8 am with a low tire that needed to be evaluated. I did believe it needed repair b/c it was the 2nd time in a week that the pressure was low. I was told that they would get me out by 9 am. I accepted the time since I did not have an appointment and I could see 2 people in the waiting room. It is now 10:20. No one came to update me on the progress and when I went to ask was told that they had an equipment problem and had not started. I am upset for several reasons. First they knew there were equipment issues when I arrived and did not tell me. Second that I was not kept informed or the progress...or lack of... and finally that I am essentially trapped at Firestone. The tire is too low to drive on so to go to a different company I would have to. Change to a spare tire. I had an issue about a year ago when I replaced my tires and wound up stranded on the road after a flat from a defective tire. I put that down to an unfortunate but unavoidable issue that Firestone could not be blamed for although the Firestone that replaced the tire said it was a visible defect. I do have to admit that I am partially to blame for my current situation. I had heard poor reports. Yelp reviews were not great and I had a previous tire incident. I was foolish and thought that it was only a flat tire and would be a quick in and out fix. I have now learned my lesson. Hope it does not happen to you read more

I went here in December for tires, a wheel, and an alignment. Most of the work was done well, but when I got my car back I realized that I was missing my wheel lock and the 4 matching lug nuts. (I didn't realize this when I picked up my vehicle.) Turns out they lost them. In the end, I had to drive out to the dealership, pick up a new set of lug nuts and a wheel lock, and drive it back to Firestone to put on the nuts. (They compensated me for the wheel lock set, but not for the time and travel to the dealership). They would not make me a priority when I got back to their shop and I was told if I wanted my service prioritized then I had to go around their shop and tell all the other customers why I should be prioritized. I had to wait an additional hour for them to put the new lug nuts on and the issue to be resolved. They also scratched my new rim while putting on the new lug nuts. read more

Update (6/29/2017): I took my car in to John's Xpress Lube at Bissonnett, close to 610 to get an oil leak repaired. I mentioned that my car had been stalling and experiencing odd engine behavior after taking it to Firestone. John's Xpress Lube alerted me to the fact that my transmission fluid was not full, which explained the odd behavior of the car when trying to accelerate. I had paid Firestone for new transmission fluid, so I was very surprised to hear that it was not full (was missing a few ounces). After John's Xpress Lube kindly topped off my transmission fluid for free, my car has been driving just fine (no issues with acceleration/stalling). That is really unacceptable that Firestone would not ensure my transmission fluid was full, especially when I was paying good money for it (probably too much). read more

Went in a week before to get new tires. Purchased 2 tires for the only ones they had in stock. Come in a week later with a nail in my tire, which wasn't their fault. They say the wait is and hour and a half to get a nail out.... It only takes 10 minutes to take a nail out... I understand there are people ahead of me but it is a 10 minute process. Efficiency is something that needs to be taken into serious consideration with this location. Went to another mechanic on Chimney Rock where they were also busy but gave me time to fix in 15 minutes. Firestone will never take care of your car but will damage your car. My experience will be your experience. They just did a state inspection for my Saab today. When they returned the key I found a football size scratching and a very deep dint on the right front door. I talked with the manager immediately , however he said they didn't do it. He even didn't ask the mechanic. He even said that might had been done few weeks ago. Just before the inspection, I opened the door twice to find my insurance card for the inspection and there was no scratching at all. But the manager didn't hear my words. About two years ago, this same store did the state inspection for my Mitsubishi. On the second day, I found a one foot long crack on the dashboard. When I talked to them, they said it's not caused by them. Because I found it on the second day, I could not prove they did it. Finally I replaced the dashboard by myself. This time, I find the scratching and dint immediately. But they still did not admit. What a fXXXXing store is it. Firestone, you lost my trust. read more

I told the person I was trying to setup an appointment online and the time feature was not working. He asked what day I wanted the appointment, I said today. He replied "that's why, you can't make an appointment for today." Just FYI I used multiple browsers and selected today's date, tomorrows and the next day.. none worked. Came in to get some work done and an oil change. They completed the initial work without an issue. I asked about the oil change and they confirmed it was done and charged me for the work and even the filter disposal. I noticed that the sticker on the windshield hadn't been changed and the oil life % was still at 60%. I drove back and told them they didn't do it actually thinking they just didn't apply the sticker. The counter guy went into the garage and the mechanic told him he forgot. This isn't the first time they charged me for work and then said they forgot. It will be the last. read more

This location is terrible and so is the manager, Sean. It's bad enough that oil changes here take a ridiculously long time. My car was damaged by a oil change there. My car had no oil in it and I realized once it started to sound like a lawn mower! This was a clear sign of engine damage! My car was towed back to the shop and basically Sean tried to put a bandage on the situation and send me on my way by just redoing the oil change. What an insult! I've never had any major problems with my car and I work hard for everything I have! Let some treat your mother that way! Not only are my husband and I both educated, he's an expert on cars. Nice try giving us the run around! Firestone's corporate office was able to put us in a rental car while our car is being repaired and a the claim being settled. No thanks to you Sean! I went up to the bellaire firestone to get repairs on my vehicle, because my check engine light was on and I needed an inspection done. They gave an $1100 quote. The main repair was to the cylinder 3 misfire. I dropped my car off the next day and it sat in the repair shop for 4 hours and when I picked up, the check engine was off so I figured they got it done, everything was fine. The next day, my check engine comes right back on. So I bring it up there and the tech said the cylinder 3 misfire is still there so I dropped it off with them for the day and got a ride home(WHich took 2 hours to get me that ride.) I got a call later that evening after I had to call to get an update and they claimed my vehicle was ready. So I picked it up and the check engine was off. The next day the check engine came right back on. So I ended up dropping it off for the weekend and got a rental car. On Monday when I came to pick it up, they claimed they fixed the problem. But again the next day, The check engine comes right back on. On top of that, they decided not to tell enterprise my car was dropped off, keeping the hold on my credit card. So I spent 1100 to be lied too and my truck now runs worse than before I brought it up there. AND THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS STILL ON. If you don't know how to do the job, send the customer to a tech that does. All the lying just to get a customer in and out is terrible service and I hope that this particular firestone doesn't reflect how other firestones operate. read more

Go to the Galleria location! I went here for an alignment about a month ago, they sold me the lifetime alignment and then we dropped our car off overnight. They promised a time, we showed up and they had not even started the next morning. They told us the machine broke after the first 4 cars, but why wasn't my car first if I brought it the night before. Dont trust them.Took it to the galleria for alignment, great job! Needed to replace a few worn out parts. My husband went back to this bellaire location to do another alignment. Poor decision, but it is so convenient to our home. Never again! left it overnight again, they said they aligned it, pulled to the right so they told my husband to bring it back next week their computer was broken. We scheduled it at the galleria location. The galleria guys are friendly helpful and very thorough in explaining everything. In and out pretty quick too! read more
