My husband recently took his car to get the tires changed and, unfortunately, the job was not done properly. The technician neglected to put the screws/studs back in place. My husband and child unknowingly drove the car in this condition. Two days later, my husband used the car again and nearly had an accident because of this oversight. To make matters worse, the car was left a day before, so it's not like we were rushing them. Additionally, the customer service we received was terrible. There are some advantages of using a national chain for car maintenance... namely that it's a national chain. Example: the car that I'm now driving belonged to my dad in Arizona. I had new tires put on before I left AZ as well as a lifetime alignment. All of that is in the computer, so when I bring it here for an oil change, tire rotation, and alignment check, everything is taken care of without having to shuffle through the glove box to find receipts. I've been coming here for years; it's the fourth car I've owned that I've taken to them. Do you have to wait? Yes, they get busy, so I drop it off and let them do their thing. Is it done right? Yes. I recently went to this Firestone on Bellaire Blvd for my Honda repair, and was given an estimate of $ 2507 for the repairs. Finding that too high, I went to another place close to home who fixed it for $100. Yes, I'm not kidding! My Honda is 7 years old, so of course, Firestone offered to change several parts that didn't need repair, and I had no way to know. The problem was my car was making noise while driving, and the issue was that one of the tires had a bubble. Firestone identified that, plus said I need wheel bearings for my tires, hub stuff (I don't even know what not) and a few other things estimated at $2507. Total cheats! I''m never going back to these guys. (BTW, the shop that fixed it for $100 is Joe's Auto Care on Stella Link, an honest guy who's been around for decades). read more

This place used to be a lot better, but the manager that's been here the last two years sucks. Back in 2020 my engine burnt out because they failed to put my oil cap on correctly. Luckily the manager then was nice enough to take the blame and replaced my engine free of charge, along with covering my Ubers and rental during the maintenance. 2 years later another issue happens with my engine, due to them not putting in fluid and it burns out yet again. The new manager Stephanie was very stern and did not want to resolve the issue as the other manager did. They wanted to charge me $6,000 to replace it. Luckily I got it replaced elsewhere for $1,200. Now I came to get new tires and when I mention the tires by brand and make, but not specific name Stephanie gives me this stupid ass face like "don't you mean so and so brand?" Like yes, you dumb idiot, you understood me though right? Anyways everyone else is cool, she's the only one that sucks here. This review probably won't have an impact anyways. The district manager is always here hanging out with her and it seem like they always go on lunch together every time I come in to get my vehicle serviced. This place is so inconsistent.. I understand in these times a lot of businesses are shortstaffed. However, when I bring my car in on a Friday for a oil change and brake pads changed and give plenty of time to do it (The person working there said it would be done by the next day Saturday), I expect it to be done by Saturday or at the very least I expect a phone call telling me it's going to take longer. Now they are closed and I have not even gotten so much is a phone call. Unless I get some apology from this owner I will never step foot in here again. I've dealt with LONNIE before and he's at least gotten back to me every single time that he said he was going to. These people are either completely incompetent or crooked, possibly both. I have lived in the Bellaire for almost 50 years and used this Firestone for 30. The management and personel have changed and I will never go again. I had a horrible experience last year when they wanted $1,800 to do a brake job. I got them done for $325 across Bissonette. My employee mistakenly took one of my work vans there today instead of the place across Bissonette for an oil change. They claimed I needed a new oil pan, battery, and brake job to the tune of $1,560.94! I have the paperwork. Not bad for a quick service huh! I took it across Bissonette and they said none of it was needed!!! So do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. It used to be a good shop and now it is awful. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!!! read more

My step mother brought in her car to see why the AC was not working. They charged her over $800 to evacuate, recharge, and add dye to the system. This is unacceptable. That is a higher price than Ferrari charges. On top of that, the AC continued to be terrible and wasn't cooling well, so she brought me the car. The cabin AC filter was completely clogged with leaves, trash and grime. I cleaned it out, and it was fixed. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and didn't say or do anything about it. My step mother brought me her car last week saying that her car was losing radiator fluid. I hooked it up to my radiator system pressure tester and the picture attached is what was flowing out. Why is this Firestone's problem? They replaced the upper and lower radiator hoses ten months ago, for $573, the very ones you see here flowing fluid everywhere. You know how long those hoses took me to replace? 30 minutes. I have this all documented and if anyone at Firestone corporate would like to see receipts, I have them all. I am going to continue to add bad reviews to Facebook, Google, and any other platforms until I see an appropriate response and refund for their terrible work. I have receipts showing a pattern of overcharging and sloppy work that later had to be corrected by myself. And if you think I am done, nope, there is more. That Firestone serviced the tires four months ago. When I went to change her CV axles two weeks ago, the wheel lock key was nowhere to be found. I cleaned out the entire car, and it was nowhere to be found. Of course I can't prove this claim, but the bag it belonged in was still in the tool area but no lock was in it. So either my step mother started playing with her tools and somehow the wheel lock fairy snapped it up, or again, Firestone messed up. And if you think I am done, you are wrong. They replaced her TPMS sensors. I have attached a receipt for one of those. They have all been replaced within the last 18 months. Here, on my Autel TPMS diagnostics reader, as you see in the pictures, every sensor is reading low voltage. They will all need to be replaced again, after already spending $500 on new sensors in the last 18 months. Absolutely disgusting Firestone. You can make this right and make this review go away if you simply refund these charges and do what is appropriate for the situation. read more

This place is a total rip off. I brought my car in due to it not starting. I was told that I would receive a call once the issue was discovered. I never got a call, I had to call to get an update. When I called, I was told it was that they battery had to be replaced (which they had already done). I asked how much it would be and was told 300+ for the battery. The battery itself was $220 and then they charged $70 for installation and testing. This place is way overpriced and will never recommend anyone give this place business. read more

Sam the manager is extremely rude and disrespectful, raised his voice and kept interrupting me and walked off after talking without even listening to me. I came here to be told that my tire was fine and was given a tutorial on how to put air in my tires. Yes it felt rather chastising because I'm fully aware of how to put air in my tires. The work was fine, but even with an appointment, it always took an hour to get my car in the garage. My biggest gripe though, was the last time I was in, the mechanic walked me out to my car, asked me exactly where I worked, and then asked if I had a man. This was so unprofessional, and made me so uncomfortable, I will not be returning. He commented on what I was doing while I was in the waiting area, which means he was watching me through the window. I bought tires online and called them in advance to see if I could get them shipped over there and installed. The usually don't accept tires from this company, but were very accommodating. I communicated my complaint to Bridgestone online on 9/30/2019. It's now 10/8/2019 and region manager or what you called "Division Leadership Team" has not contacted me. Well, this clearly demonstrate a total change by Firestone of how they now handle customer issues/complaints. I made the right decision to never take any of my cars to Firestone in the future. I read other customers reviews indicating getting the runaround by the so called customer support TEAM!! And they are telling the truth. Sad day since Firestone was an OK company. No need for you to add a SUPER/URGENT alert to my so called file. Complete waste of time to even take my time to communicate my issue. The reason I took the time to communicate my issue to Bridgestone was the following: 1. The don't care attitude shown by the Service Advisor indicates a lack of accountability at that location 2. The work not done properly by leaving a screw driver and the hood prop unsecured in the engine compartment indicates lack of supervision and training at the location 3. Getting the runaround by customer support will not help Bridgestone save money or increase their profit margins in the long term. It will just help diminish their brand and profits. 4. The end result will be an increase in work not being done properly. Which will result in an increase in cost to Firestone to pay for the damage done to the car. And loss of business as customers take their business elsewhere. For example, customer wrote a review on 10/2/2019 for the same Bellaire location that the Firestone Technician forgot to add the oil during a routine oil change to their car. Resulting in severed engine damage when they try to drive their car home. I guess I should feel lucky that at least that did not happen to me. read more

I have definitely experienced better here; I have been a customer for many years but the other day I was very unhappy. I took my car in for an oil change; I let them know I was going to a long lunch to kill time and they never bothered to tell me it would take much longer, like 4 hours. So after two hours I returned and nothing had been done and I had an appointment to get to, so here we are, I still have no oil change and I don't even have a new place to go to except for a gas station. :( I understand that you may be understaffed sometimes, but I can't spend my whole day there for a simple oil change. Firestone overcharged ($1000+) my mother in her 70s for a simple spark plug replacement. We were about to sell the car but knew it would be a waste since everything else is in good condition and replaced prior..we consulted with a friend who's a Toyota repair technician and he said that the charge quoted was not accurate and far more than she should have been. It is disappointing since before my father passed he brought his car before so we thought they would charge fairly as we had brought in repeat business before. I am glad we consulted and it is unfortunate when an auto business takes advantage of a senior. Will not return nor recommend. We had it fixed for a much more reasonable price. read more

Do not come to this Firestone. I have been a loyal Firestone customer for years until now. I recently ran over a rusty tire, completely damaging my tire. I went to this Firestone and bought a tire. Never was I offered to do an alignment, but they did offer to replace my windshield wipers (not as important). I left as a happy customer with a new tire and new windshield wipers. The next day I noticed I needed an alignment done since I had to turn my steering wheel towards the left in order to drive straight. I knew it wouldn't pass the state inspection, so I went to my nearest Midas to get an alignment done. At Midas I was informed that I needed to replace the lower control arm along with other parts I damaged when I hit the tire. The manager even took me out to the work space where my car was elevated and pointed out all of the bent parts under my car. I don't know much about cars and it was obvious to me that this was not safe to drive on. I was completely furious that Firestone did not inform me of the damages! Firestone has lost a loyal customer because of this incident. I feel taken advantage of and will take my business elsewhere! read more

Took my car to get it rotated and aligned. They call me to tell me my locks are broken when they are the only ones that have handle my car. They rotated my tires and the only way to do that is by taking off the locks. Then they wanted me to pay for the mistake plus blame it on me. read more

Dropped my vehicle off on a Tuesday morning for repairs I was told 2 cars was ahead of mine ok cool. I let them know I have a warranty and they will pay. Left my policy and phone numbers they will need to reach out to have my vehicle repaired. A few days went by in no one contacted me so I decided to call on Friday to see if my car was ready. They did not even start on my car let alone call the warranty company. That is unacceptable for them to have my vehicle in did not take steps to work on it. In of course my warranty company was closed the weekend so I had to wait until next week. My car could not be driven so it stayed there in line. Still Monday they haven't did a thing. Y'all had my damn car a week just looking at it. That makes not the least bit of sense I called the manager blamed it on somebody else for not taking care of business. I had my vehicle towed to the dealership that same day when I arrived at Firestone I was still responsible for paying a fucking bill when they did NOTHING! within an hour after having vehicle towed they had the approval from my warranty company and my vehicle fixed same day! He actually ended up saving me a lot of money. I got my car serviced there and all their prices are fair and decent and they have tons of specials! So I simply drove across the street to Goodyear and got the tire repair by the friendly staff in twenty minutes. I had a coupon for 19.99 oil change. The employee tried to fool me and get me to pay more for synthetic oil. The employee insisted I needed synthetic oil when I know I use regular. I had to nudge my way to the computer screen to read aloud to him and point to the sentence "synthetic oil is not mandatory." This gave me a bad taste in my mouth.....I don't even trust the work was done if this is how they try to scam women. Oh yea, coupon for 19.99? This is one of the best auto repair shops I have ever been too. The staff is respectful and courteous. They are very honest about what is wrong with your car and do not apply high pressure sales tactics that similar places tend to do. At the end of the repair, they provide a detailed report about the safety of your breaks, tires, windshield wipers and headlights. The shop is clean, as is the restroom. They also provide complimentary water and coffee while you wait. Great place will definitely be returning. read more
