Lang is super friendly and was able to take my car in last minute. I left my car at his auto shop on Monday morning and it was already done the following day. The guys here were very friendly and honest. They gave me a very accurate time estimate and decent price. Mainly, I look for a trustworthy mechanic, and this is definitely the right place. My car got caught in the flood a bit, which broke my cooling fans. These guys checked my car and suggested I file a claim to my insurance. When I told them I didn't have full coverage, they did their work and tested everything. Luckily the fans were the only things that seem to have been affected. Lang also offered me advice to get the smell out from my carpets. He said to go to a car wash station, vaccuum out all the water, get some baking soda mix for carpets, and vaccuum again. Overall, I felt I could trust them, and that's really the most important thing. I've been lied to many times by other shops because people think they can take advantage of a little Asian girl who probably doesn't know anything. Not here! read more

I'm usually EXTREMELY skeptical of mechanics given past experiences. Lang's did a visual inspection of my brakes and told me everything looks fine and that I wouldn't need to change my front pads for another 3-6 months depending on my usage. VERY positive experience. My check engine light in my 2001 Camry was on. It was also running sluggish and misfiring, etc. First I went to Midtown Automotive around the corner, based on the reviews that I read. When I got there, they seemed to be too busy to even act like they were paying attention to me while I described the symptoms. Plus they didn't know how long my diagnostic test would be. One hour would be $89, but the guy behind the counter didn't know if it would be twice that if it ran OVER one hour. I politely left. I went to Lang's Master Car Care and they did everything right. They even informed me about the Drive Clean program for qualified applicants (under 31k if single, failed emissions test with check engine light on are the main criteria). The voucher is worth 600 dollars. They did all of the paperwork and faxing for me. All I had to do was bring my 2007 income tax copy. When my voucher arrived in the mail, they ordered the parts and the next morning I took the car in. (December 3rd, to be exact). .......7 hours later, they called to tell me that my car was ready and like new! They did a major tuneup and used all factory parts, unclogged the egr valve and replaced some sensors...plus a fuel injection flush. A 677 dollar job...only cost me 50 dollars out of pocket. My car passed the emissions test and my car runs like brand new...even though I got it used lol. ....and no more 'check engine' light glowing in my face lol. They solved the problem. I highly recommend this shop. He's been helping out people in the community for a long time and now I see why his customers are so loyal. Two Thumbs Up! read more

Admittedly...I'm a bit jaded and I have a hard time when it comes to finding someone for services such as auto mechanic work. My car, however, was not really in a position for me to wait, so I perused Yelp (as usual) and came across Lang's Master Car Care. I've likely passed this spot over a million times in my lifetime and never gave it more than a passing thought... I hate I waited so long. Mr. Lang and Paul were not only patient and knowledgeable but incredibly considerate and kind as they worked on my car during the busy holiday season. Going as far as making sure that we priced our everything prior to moving forward and telling me what items could wait and be done at a later date if I chose. In addition, I had a small issue with the the car I was borrowing as I waited for mine to be repaired and Mr. Lang kindly took time to talk with me and take a look at it when I made an impromptu visit...even making me feel more at ease about the damage I'd potentially done to the borrowed vehicle, easing my anxiety a bit. Master Car Care in 3rd Ward has been my husband's mechanic sense sense. When you find a good mechanic, you stick with them. That was a lesson I bought about 7 years ago when we moved to Stafford and just tried a mechanic around the corner. $500 later the car still wasn't fixed and we took it to Mr. Lang and he fixed it for half the price. NEED MORE STARS!!!!!! Five Stars are not enough to describe my experience w/ Master Car Care (Lang, Paul & staff)!!! I took my truck to Lang after it kept shutting off and I smelled a strong odor of gasoilne. Normally I would have taken it to my mechanic of 16 years in Friendswood. Yup that's how loyal (and stupid it turns out) I was as I would drive my vehicles ALL THE WAY to Friendswood for servicing because I was convinced they were trustworthy, fairly-priced and competent. The only reason I didn't take my truck to Friendswood mechanic in this instance was because it was not driveable and the tow would have been too costly. Therefore, I had my trucked towed to Master Car Care because it's literally a stone's throw from my house. What I soon discovered was shocking!!! Lang called me shortly after having my truck towed there and asked me "who worked on my truck last?" I replied "the same mechanic in Friendswood I've been taking it to since 1998. Why?" Lang went on to tell me that they had installed the wrong fuel pressure regulator which caused it to fall out and as a result gasoline was spraying everywhere underneath my truck (and the reason for the strong odor of gasoline I experienced when I was attempting to start it earlier in the day). Now Lang could have just repaired the problem and charged me and would have been perfectly ethical in doing so, however, this guy is unbelievable!!! Lang insisted that I take the truck back to my Friendswood mechanic and have them do the job correctly at no cost to me. So that's exactly what I did and my "trusted" Friendswood mechanic was at a loss to explain their shoddy work and weakly blamed it on their parts supplier providing a defective part, when in fact the part wasn't defective, it was just the WRONG PART that didn't fit correctly and the reason it just eventually fell out of the fuel line spewing gasoline everywhere!! I was very lucky that I wasn't seriously injured as a result of this unforgivable error on the part of my FORMER mechanic in Friendswood. Now I will be taking all of my vehicles for the next 16 years and BEYOND to Master Car Care. Can't thank Lang enough!! read more
