The boot that was torn by Houston Texas Auto Care

Went in for an alignment after a new power steering rack was installed. They destroyed the steering boot and cause a dead spot in my steering ( can turn the wheel 20° to the left and right before car actually responds to input ). I called them and they denied involvement completely. I took it there shortly after the rack was installed. I checked the rack after installation and it was working perfectly. Now the rack is destroyed and my car leaks. Going to be another expensive fix thanks to Houston Texas Auto Care. Unqualified technicians and lackluster service.

I have been here multiple times for an oil change. Even with a tire rotation, I have never waited more than 30 minutes. No complaints.

Only bought tires there so far over a couple years - great clean place - good tire prices and service (and I shopped other major places).

A week after my initial service, I called Rush after seeing an engine light turn on (unrelated to initial oil change, alignment, and rotation).

Took my 2010 Sienna in for oil change after getting bad feels about the national chain JL and looking through the reviews here. Check in was quick and efficient with simple one page to set things happening. Owner(?) knew the recommended oil (Toyotas are weird like that) and shared dirt on filters; they're basically all the same. Waiting area is basic but comfortable though service was so quick it hardly mattered tbh. Service tech let me know everything looked good as he returned with keys and such. Final check out lady was strong with customer service and even guided me to the restroom. When asked about a transmission fluid change the tech said everything looked good and didn't attempt upsell or anything!!! - Brilliant though I'll certainly be back to Noah when / if / as the Great Green Beast needs anything. When I had the car towed there, they then said that it was too old to be worked on, despite already knowing the year/model of the car earlier on the phone. Luckily there was another repair shop nearby that was willing to work on it, but I had to drive it the short distance which I was unsure I'd make.

I rarely leave reviews, so this should say a lot…read more I brought my 2018 Volvo S90 to Eric's Car Care for an A/C diagnostic because the air was blowing hot. I had a scheduled appointment and dropped my car off around 7:00-7:30 a.m. on Friday, yet I didn't get my vehicle back until Monday. I also never received an update call--I had to call them myself. While delays can happen, my real concern is the accuracy and honesty of the information I was given. After their inspection, I was told my vehicle needed a new A/C compressor, condenser, and expansion valve, bringing the total repair cost to $6,411.07, including labor. That is a major expense, so I declined the service and sought a second opinion. I then took my car to Alpine Motor Works, where they identified the actual issue: a leaking Freon valve. They replaced the valve and recharged the A/C system, fully resolving the problem for $205.65 total. There is no reasonable explanation for being told I needed over $6,000 in repairs when the real issue was a minor leak. This feels extremely misleading and unprofessional. I was even encouraged to finance the repair and pay off the balance within 90 days, which now feels even more concerning given how unnecessary those repairs turned out to be. Being given such drastically incorrect information after a diagnostic is unacceptable. Customers rely on shops to provide honest assessments, not inflated repair recommendations. I will not be returning, and I strongly encourage others to seek a second opinion before committing to major repairs here.
